“Charley was amazing and really went above and beyond. My cat is usually cautious with strangers, but Charley was able to gain her trust from the very first visit. She sent me updates and photos every day, so I always knew everything was fine and my cat was in good hands while I was away for two weeks. She also left the house clean and tidy. About: Hi, I’m Beth 👋 I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs my whole life, there’s always been at least one (more often than not, two) in the house, so caring for them is second nature to me. I have a genuine love for all animals but dogs hold a special place in my heart. I have a particular soft spot for small dogs, having owned and cared for several throughout my life, so I understand their unique personalities, needs and quirks better than most. I’m also experienced with anxious and reactive dogs. My own dog is reactive and has anxiety, so I understand the patience, calm and careful handling these dogs need. If your dog is nervous or doesn’t always get on well with others, you’re in safe hands. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own; with patience, love and plenty of attention. Your dog’s happiness, comfort and safety will always be my priority, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages during every walk so you can see they’re happy and well cared for. I offer walks on weekday evenings from 5pm and across most weekends, making me a great option for owners who need reliable cover outside of standard working hours. Whether you need a regular evening walk or weekend adventures for your pup, I’d love to help. I offer solo or small group walks in safe, familiar routes around the local area. I don’t currently offer home boarding or pet sitting at my property due to my reactive/anxious dog Bambi, but I am fully focused on providing the best possible experience during walks, giving every dog my complete attention and care.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Staffordshire Moorlands choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
