“Amazing, Emily and Dan took great care of our dogs, a Labrador and a GSD 6 month old puppy. Took them on a great walk and they got to play with their lovely dogs. We really loved all the photos we got so we could see how our boys were getting on. It was very clear from the first conversations we had and the questions they had from us that they love dogs and really cared about looking after them properly. We would definitely leave our dogs with them again.”

“This was our first time using Rover and Kerri was so lovely! Laika settled in immediately and had a great time playing with toys and Kerri's dog. She sent us little updates and pictures, I would highly recommend her!”

“Ellie had a great time at daycare. Andrew's garden is beautiful with lot's of space to run round crazy which she did. She came back exhausted after a fun day playing with other dogs. We'll definitely use Andrew again in the future.”

I live close to beautiful countryside with plenty of scenic walking routes, and as a very active person who loves walking, your dog will enjoy lots of exercise, attention and affection. I work part-time from home and can offer a flexible routine around school hours. This means plenty of company, attention and daily walks. We’re lucky to live near beautiful countryside, and I love being outdoors and keeping dogs happy, active and well cared for. We provide a safe, welcoming home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. Our secure fenced garden gives dogs a safe space to enjoy fresh air and play, alongside plenty of lovely countryside walks nearby. I take the time to understand each dog’s routine, personality and needs, ensuring they feel happy, relaxed and well cared for throughout their stay.
“Our 8 month Cavapoo spends 2 days a week with Andy and she loves it! She is treated as part of the family is very happy to go to Andy’s and exhausted when she comes home! It is like a home from home for her.”

“Alina has a very calm, relaxed way with the dogs in her care, Toby was happy to go with her after first meeting her on our Meet & Greet the day before. He was excited to see the basket of toys especially the boys. Alina lives very close to a large park which is ideal for walking dogs. We felt very comfortable leaving Toby in her care, Alina is certainly very experienced in handling dogs, Toby sat down beside her when we picked him up which for us is a sign that he was comfortable in her presence. We would definately use her services again. Thank you Alina”

“Paris was in great hands with Tommy and Megan. They clearly made my pup feel very welcome and looked after her beautifully. They kept me up-to-date with how she was doing, sending photos and information. A really lovely couple who have a great way with dogs, and with people! I’d be very happy to recommend, and to use them again.”

“We could not reccomend Alec and his lovely family enough. Prior to our meet and greet we warned Alec that our dog Walter can be nervous around men. Instantly he put our mind at ease, providing ways in which he would reassure Walter when meeting. It turns out thanks to Alec, Amy and their two lovely girls joint kind and caring approach, we didn’t need to worry at all! Walter acted as though he’d known Alec and his lovely family for years, instantly playing in their amazing large garden and inside their beautiful home. We already have future bookings planned in but prior Alec and Amy have gone out of their way to help us super last minute with an additional booking and we couldn’t be more grateful. Pictures and videos were sent throughout and Walter was practically smiling with happiness! It was such a relief knowing he can be quite anxious at times, to see Walter feel so comfortable, happy and at home in their presence. We feel so lucky to have found Alec and his lovely family and could not reccomend them more!”

“First time I’ve had a dog-sitter/walker so was apprehensive as my 13-month-old is a bit lively but Sally put me at ease on our meet and greet and adapted her plans during the week to accommodate the dog and make things slightly more familiar for him. Great feedback through the week while we were away, which was another reassurance for us. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.”

We wish to thank Kerri for Jazz’s daycare. Considering how awful the weather was that day Kerri took him out for 2 walks & Jazz came back home a very happy doggie. We hope that Kerri will be available to look after Jazz again as we live very close by. We found Kerri to be a very friendly and caring person. So thank you Kerri hope to see you again. Pam & Peter

- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
