It was wonderful to know that she was very much part of his family while we were away abroad, possibly enjoying herself just as much as we were!! Andrew stayed in touch with us throughout the stay and was always very quick to respond to messages which was greatly appreciated by us all. About: I’m very experienced and confident with puppies and dogs of all ages and breeds. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and my husband has too. We currently own a miniature dachshund and a flat-coated retriever, so caring for dogs is a natural part of our everyday life. I work from home, which means your dog will never be left alone and will enjoy company throughout the day. They’ll fit right into our family routine—joining our dogs on daily walks, relaxing indoors, enjoying playtime, and receiving plenty of love and attention. Your dog will be treated as part of the family in a safe, calm, and loving home. We have a secure garden for outdoor play and toileting, and your dog will benefit from social time with our friendly dogs. You can trust they’ll be cared for as if they were our own.

About: My family has grown up surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and even for a short time, ferrets and stick insects. Lasy year I welcomed Norman, a Dachshund, into my home and he is now my constant companion. I know only too well how difficult it is to be away from your beloved pets and how reassuring it is to have someone you can trust looking after them. For the past 8 years, I have been a member of Trusted Housesitters and I have completed numerous sits for pets in their own home. I have received excellent feedback from the owners (I can provide copies of their reviews) and I have a 5☆ rating. I have also become a regular sitter for a couple of them, returning whenever I can. I will always endeavour to be completely committed to caring for your pet and make the experience an enjoyable one for them and you I am still currently working full time, but working from home enables me more freedom during the week. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
