“Fantastic service from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout, and they are a lovely, easy-going couple who clearly share our love of dogs. The facilities are perfect, with a large secure enclosed garden and a paddock beyond, which was heaven for our ball-mad Cockapoo. It was obvious she had an amazing time and made a new best friend in Andy, who happily kept the ball flying for her. We collected one very happy and well-looked-after dog, which is all any owner could ask for. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Andy and we’ll definitely be booking with him again. I understand how special your pets are and would treat them like royalty. I have experience with lots of breeds including rescue dogs, mainly lurcher and greyhound. I mainly have availability for evening walks/ pop ins if perhaps you are working late or have a work event. I also have availability for weekend walks and also boarding. I will always walk dogs on leads and have a park down the road from my house. Pets will have full access to the downstairs of my house.

About: My family has grown up surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and even for a short time, ferrets and stick insects. Lasy year I welcomed Norman, a Dachshund, into my home and he is now my constant companion. I know only too well how difficult it is to be away from your beloved pets and how reassuring it is to have someone you can trust looking after them. For the past 8 years, I have been a member of Trusted Housesitters and I have completed numerous sits for pets in their own home. I have received excellent feedback from the owners (I can provide copies of their reviews) and I have a 5☆ rating. I have also become a regular sitter for a couple of them, returning whenever I can. I will always endeavour to be completely committed to caring for your pet and make the experience an enjoyable one for them and you I am still currently working full time, but working from home enables me more freedom during the week. I am also available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I have a secure garden for your pet to enjoy and numerous local country walks to explore. I would follow any instructions regarding your pets care and needs

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
