About: I have looked after many friends and family dogs over the years, my job means I am not home enough to have a dog of my own but would love to look after others in the meantime. I am available for boarding at weekends and occasional days, I am free in the evenings for walks as I usually work full time as a physio I have a fenced garden, live by myself and no current pets so have plenty of room and time to look after your pets and keep them happy and entertained

I immediately got a sense of calm when I went to visit before her stay which is important for her as she can be quite anxious, but I knew from then on that she would have the best time, especially when Matthew asked if she liked long walks. You can tell they are a family of genuine dog lovers and they went out of their way to make sure that Luca’s stay was as enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend Matthew!!”

About: Ben has had dogs from a young age including 3 springer spaniels trained from puppies. One of those being a rescue from the age of 2 to senior age. Both of us (Ben & Jess) are used to looking after senior dogs on a regular basis but also used to energetic breeds that love to be outside on walks. Jess works full time in a school but is available during school holidays and at weekends. Ben can work remote and this is flexible during the week. Ben can also do weekends regularly. We have a private house with large fences and a garden for pets to use if boarding here is required. We have looked after dogs for up to 3 weeks at a time in a pet owners home. We understand the daily needs of pets during the day and how important exercise and attention means during the day.

I live in a two bedroom house with a fenced paved garden. My house that leads right out to Stretford Ees making me in the prime location for dog walks. In the house we can make your dog perfectly comfortable in any room of the house depending on their needs!

Our dog Chloe had a great time with and was very well looked after by Sarah and Josh - we met up beforehand with our dogs in a local park to make sure there would not be any issues (an excellent idea) and everything went great. Sarah was very communicative and provided plenty of updates to reassure me everything was going well. Very strongly recommended!
Keisha looked after my Poochon, Sinead, over the August bank holiday weekend and I honestly can’t fault her. She was super quick with communication from the offset and conveniently only lives around the corner from me. As soon as I met her I felt instantly at ease. She has a really good, calm energy, which is important to me as Sinead definitely picks up on people and their mood. Communication was brilliant throughout the weekend, with loads of updates and photos. One of my friends even commented that I was getting more feedback about Sinead than she gets from her child’s nursery! Sinead seemed really happy and settled, and I’d have no hesitation leaving her with Keisha again. Highly recommend.
Nicola took such good care of Sticky for a week whilst we were away, and even looked after him a couple of times before the holiday to ensure he would feel comfortable. We got lots of updates and felt confident that he was having a lovely time and was being well cared for. Thank you so much again😊
Yasmin was just great with Frankie. He had lots of exercise and fun as she’s slept all night on his return home. Yasmin is clearly an experienced dog minder and I felt confident in leaving him. Frankie’s only young and a lively boy and Yasmin managed him really well. The communication was great, photos and updates I would highly recommend Yasmin as a dog minder.
We were a bit worried about leaving Rocky as this was his first time to be left without us, but after meeting Sean and getting to know how he looks after the dogs in his care our doubts we erased. Sean gave us regular updates and photos of Rocky to let us know how Rocky had settled in to a different routine. I would have no doubt about using Sean in the future if we have cause to need a dog sitter.
We were very happy indeed with the care that our dog received from Kam Yan. She gave him lots of cuddles and attention and he came back relaxed and well fed. He gets nervous when he's away from us so we were very impressed with how well he settled with her. She also sent us lots of photos so we could see he was ok. I would definitely recommend her .
I cannot recommend Mary highly enough!!! She looked after our two dogs whilst we were on holiday. She administered medicine, took them for a range of walks in parks and woods around Manchester. She gave regular updates and pictures for us (and they clearly showed our dogs having a great time!). Overall, a fantastic service! Thank you!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
