“Chen was amazing and took great care of our little frenchie Ari while we were away on holiday. She sent lots of pictures and videos, keeping us updated on how she was getting on. Ari looked like she had the best time and enjoying all her belly rubs. I would highly recommend Chen and Ari is already looking forward to her next stay with her.”

“Louis had a great time with Jamie. They took wonderful care of her and kept us updated with lots of cute pictures. Great dog sitters and we’d be happy to book with Jamie again!”

“Edward is a fantastic dog sitter. I made a short notice booking, he was very quick to respond during the booking process answering my questions and giving me information. During Peppa's stay he sent me lots of updates and photos which is always reassuring to see when your dog is away. Peppa seemed to enjoy it too - hopefully we'll be back again soon. Thanks very much.”

“Valeria was fantastic with Kenji over the Christmas holidays. She handled his reactivity with patience and kindness and kept us updated every day with photos and videos. I highly recommend her and will definitely contact her again in the future.”

“I booked my Kitty with Aysha for 4 nights and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! It was super last minute as I had an emergency and Aysha responded immediately and took her in within an hour which I was incredibly grateful for. She sent me hourly updates and spoiled me with dozens of photos of Kitty having the time of her life, with all the toys, play times and cuddles - I honestly don’t think she wanted to come home! 🥰 Aysha truly loved on Kitty as if she were her own cat, and prioritised her comfort by keeping her own cat in a separate room as she recognised that Kitty was feeling anxious, even providing calming mood lighting and playing relaxing music for her - I wanted to stay over too for this luxury treatment! 😂 Her house was clean and tidy and I was able to go in and set up a little corner for Kitty and make her comfortable which was really reassuring as well to see where she would be staying. Aysha was super welcoming and accommodating for Kitty’s dietary needs as well. The number of photos and videos she sent made it feel like Kitty was still with me which was amazing and kept my mind at ease as I didn’t ever have to wonder what Kitty was up to and how she was doing. I would 100% book Aysha again, with her veterinary background as well I know Kitty couldn’t be in better hands 🫶🏽”

“Loki had a wonderful time staying over with Liuliu and Mia. They were great about walking and feeding him on our usual schedule, and when I came to pick him up, he actually seemed reluctant to leave, haha. Thanks again, Liuliu!”

“Sophie looked after our golden retriever for the first time of us leaving him to go on holiday and did an incredible job. A one and a half year old golden retriever is no small challenge, but Bruno had so much fun playing with Lola and you can tell he was well looked after. Sophie was really honest about some behavioural issues Bruno had around marking & resource guarding etc as we hadn’t had him in anyone else’s house before - we were incredibly grateful for this and it’s given us some things to work on him with. She sent regular updates & was so nice to see he made a friend in Lola! Highly reccomended Sophie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, patient and caring dog sitter”

“Wing Yan is fantastic. My dog had lots of fun with her whilst we were in Manchester for the weekend. She sent me lots of videos of my god having great fun. What a lovely lady.”

“Andrew took care of Enzo he & his partner were incredible with him. He went off his food & he went out his way to make sure he was ok and would consider other options if needed to make sure he would eat something, he would of done anything for Enzo he went above and beyond for him. They are the nicest of people you could ever meet and especially to take care off your pets. I be using them again in future thank you”

“Brooke was absolutely wonderful with Reggie. She made him feel so at home and he settled in straight away! I was only away for 3 nights but Brooke sent me lots of photos & pupdates so I knew Reggie was having the best time. Brooke made me feel so at ease leaving Reggie with her, she was confident with him & knowledgeable and clearly has a lot of experience with dogs. Reggie had the best holiday & will definitely be back! Thank you again! Xx”

About: My partner and I have had dogs all our lives and absolutely love being around them. We’re both doctors, and with our sometimes unsociable working hours, we’d love to spend our free time with a furry companion! We’re experienced, caring and responsible dog lovers, and whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles or simply keeping them company, your dog will be treated and loved as if they were our own. 🐶❤️ We understand how important it is to know your dog is in safe hands, and we’ll always make sure they’re happy, comfortable and well cared for while they’re with us. Our schedules vary week to week, which gives us plenty of flexibility to fit pet care around our work. Between the two of us, we’re often available during weekdays, evenings and weekends. We love getting outdoors for walks, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, attention, playtime and, of course, cuddles! We’ll always discuss your dog’s usual routine beforehand and do our best to keep things consistent so they feel completely at home with us. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be our priority. Having owned dogs throughout our lives, we’re confident caring for different personalities, needs and routines. We’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding, walks and any house rules. We’ll give them plenty of attention and affection, and we’re also happy to send regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing they’re in safe, caring hands.

“It was my first time leaving Charlie with someone that is not familiar. I was very nervous and scared but Shalina knew how to calm me down . Charlie was very well treated in her house . He loved staying there and I could see that from the pictures that she send me every day. He was loved and Shalina it's an amazing person. So if you are in need of a great person to take care of you pet ,Shalina is the best one ! We were very happy indeed with the care that our dog received from Kam Yan. She gave him lots of cuddles and attention and he came back relaxed and well fed. He gets nervous when he's away from us so we were very impressed with how well he settled with her. She also sent us lots of photos so we could see he was ok. I would definitely recommend her .

Rosa was wonderful when looking after our dog Millie for two nights. She kept me updated throughout with great communication and sent us lots of lovely pictures and videos. When we picked Millie up, it was clear she had a fantastic time and had been very well looked after. Rosa’s own dog, Lily, is absolutely adorable and got on brilliantly with Millie. We would definitely recommend Rosa and would happily have her look after Millie again!

Chen is a brilliant sitter, was happy to meet and have an introduction meeting with my dog, asked lots of questions and requested comprehensive information on likes, dislikes, behaviour, favourite toys and habits etc. She was super friendly and thoughtful, checking in with any queries. Ripley had a great time on her trial night boarding and Chen kept me up to date with lots of pupdates. Ripley is looking forward to hear longer stay next week. I can't recommend Chen enough.

We couldn’t have asked for better dog sitters. Dylan & Ellie were honestly perfect with Fergie — constant updates, photos, and messages that kept us fully at ease while we were away. They made our little fur bear feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely at home from the moment she arrived. Their care, attention, and kindness were second to none. We’d recommend Dillon and Ellie to absolutely anyone looking for trustworthy, loving sitters. We’ll definitely be using them again whenever we need someone to look after her.

We couldn't be happier with the care our dog Remi received. From the very first meet-and-greet, it was clear this sitter genuinely loves animals — Remi warmed up instantly, which says a lot since he's usually a bit shy with new people. Throughout the stay, we got regular photo and video updates that put our minds completely at ease. Remi came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well-exercised (and maybe a little spoiled!). The attention to detail was fantastic too — feeding schedule followed to the letter, medication given on time, and even a note left about how his walks went each day. It's obvious this isn't just a job for them; they truly care about the pets they look after. We wouldn't trust anyone else with Remi and will absolutely be booking again. Highly recommend to any pet parent looking for reliable, loving care!

Daniel was great with looking after Ziggy! He was really flexible with the meet and greet, especially as I had booked last minute. He kept me updated throughout with pictures and let me know how Ziggy was doing. For both pick-up and drop-off, he was ready at the agreed times and Ziggy was happy when I picked him up. Thanks again, Daniel! 😊

This is the first time leaving Roly with people he didn’t know, I was so nervous… But Demi and Tayler made everything feel so comfortable! We had updates every day with pictures in what they have been up to, Roly has had the best time and you could see how happy he was!! We will certainly been booking roly in again! Thank you so much for a great experience 😌

Alex and Melanie were lovely! Their home was clean, fresh and had a nice secure garden. Milo settled in straight away and seemed really happy. They took him on regular walks and kept us updated with photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Would definitely recommend them and use them again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Coco Pop took to Taylor-Marie instantly and settled well with her after a few minutes, making herself comfortable on the sofa. Taylor-Marie responded quickly to messages and reassured me Coco had settled after initially being a bit nervous. I was sent pictures of how Coco's stay was going. I would book with Taylor-Marie again. She is patient and friendly.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
