Lauren looked after our 2 little Dachshund girls recently in our home whilst we were on holiday. She was absolutely fantastic!! and our girls loved her, it was such peach of mind knowing they was happy and being so well looked after. Even getting little updates whilst we were away made it even more special. We came home to 2 very happy girls and also a spotless home. We will most definitely be using Lauren going forward!

About: I've always had a deep love for animals and have spent most of my life around them. Growing up, I had a cat called Tigs who was very much a one person cat, and chose me as her human. I also had a beautiful Akita called Kimmy, who was absolutely huge but had the gentlest nature. Alongside them, I grew up with a parrot called Charlie, who I taught to whistle and sing songs from my favourite films. Charlie is still going strong today, living happily with my sister A few years ago, I regularly worked as a dog sitter and was fortunate to have a lot of repeat bookings from owners who trusted me with their pets. I eventually stopped due to work commitments, but I've always missed spending that time with animals and am excited to get back into it. Friends and family often joke that I'm a bit like Snow White or Dr Dolittle because animals seem to warm to me very quickly. I've always found that they respond well to my calm, gentle nature, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal's personality, quirks and routines. Whether it's energetic dogs who love long walks or cats who just want a quiet companion, I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable and cared for. One thing people often comment on is how easily I seem to connect with animals that others find intimidating. Whether it's large dogs, geese, swans or nervous rescue animals, I've always found that patience, calmness and respect go a long way. Friends are often surprised when a supposedly grumpy animal ends up sitting beside me or accepting affection. My love of animals extends to all creatures, big and small. Even insects get carefully moved outside rather than harmed. I've never really believed that a creature's size determines its worth. One of my favourite memories was sitting outdoors when a wild bird landed beside me and started singing. I whistled a tune back and, to my amazement, it continued singing in response. We went back and forth for several minutes, and the bird stayed nearby the entire time. It might sound silly, but moments like that are a big part of why I love animals so much. There's something special about earning the trust of a creature that doesn't have to trust you at all. For me, looking after animals never feels like work. I genuinely love their company and treat every pet with the same kindness, patience and affection I'd want for my own. Pet care fits very naturally into my current routine. After many years working in financial services, I've recently taken a step back to focus on the next stage of my life, including volunteer work and preparing for a future career in child protection. As a result, I have more flexibility and availability than I've had in years. This means I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the animals in my care, whether that's walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, administering routine care, or simply being present to keep them company. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for pets doesn't feel like something I have to fit into my schedule, it's something I actively want to make time for. My routine is currently very flexible, which allows me to adapt to a pet's individual needs and maintain the consistency and attention that animals thrive on. When caring for pets, whether in my own home or in a pet owner's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable and secure while maintaining the routines they're already familiar with. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially when they're away from their families. I previously provided pet sitting services through Rover and was fortunate to receive a lot of positive reviews and repeat bookings from owners who trusted me with their pets time and time again. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to that account due to an old email address being closed, which is something I'm sad about, as I was very proud of the relationships and reputation I built there. One of the things owners appreciated most was that I followed instructions carefully and respected their preferences. All pets are different, and every owner has their own routines, rules and expectations too. Whether that's feeding schedules, medication, walking routes, training commands, sleeping arrangements or simply how their pet likes to be approached, I make a point of following those instructions exactly as requested. I also understand that inviting someone into your home or trusting them with a pet is a big responsibility and requires a lot of trust and communication. I treat both with the same respect I would expect from someone caring for my own animals. Clear communication, reliability and kindness are very important to me, and I always aim to give pet owners complete peace of mind while they're away.

About: I have owned cats for the majority of my life, as well as being surrounded with dogs of close family and friends! I have previously looked after cats and dogs for people while they have been away, both overnight and for daily visits (playtime, photo updates and cuddles included of course). I work part-time so I can be flexible with timings and days for scheduled visits -drop me a message and we can figure it out! Caring for pets goes beyond the necessities - it is care, affection and companionship (especially if they are anxious being away from you!). I am also happy to help with odd jobs while you are away such as watering plants or bin duty.

It's the first time of using Rover. I must say that Darren was a very professional young man and he looked after my dogs and house like he was a family member. I will be using him again next time we are going away. The only thing I would change on the web site is the contract information for sitter and home owner is correct.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, from when I was born until now (aged 29) and would class myself as a firm dog lover! Dogs naturally pick up energy and I am always making new dog friends. Ever since I moved from my family home 4 years ago, I miss smudge everyday. Dog sitting gives me the feeling that I am home again and able to cuddle, play, feed, walk and chill with a furry companion. Sitting practicality: Me and my partner (who is also a dog lover), live in Salford right near Peel Park - a perfect dog walking spot for your loved baby. We can cater to any specific dog diets or ability needs and have experience with family dogs, friends, neighbours and online enquiries of dog sitting for various dogs from Shih tzu puppies, poodles, French bulldogs to Labradors and more. Our flat is a safe, warm and clean environment for your beloved pet. We will ensure any brief is met and we are happy to meet for a chat prior to agreement of sitting your dog if required. As I am freelance and my work is mainly remote, I offer a flexible schedule to my own timings - meaning whenever your doggy would need a walk, feed, play, or more I can work around to make this happen. The weekends are mostly free and there is both myself & my partner available so two dog sitters and schedules for the price of 1! Living in a dog friendly building in Manchester provides benefits as there is always dogs out on the green if your dog is friendly. If your doggy is more antisocial we can take them on a more secluded walking area or green. We have ensured safety measures, there is no balcony in our apartment so no risks there. We are stocked with dog treats, puppy pads, water / food bowls, toys and more to ensure your baby has the best say! We have even asked the owners to send voicenotes before so that we can play them if your dog does feel uncomfortable at any time.

About: Since 2018 myself and my family opened our home to dog sitting. I have done long and short stays including just for the day as well as dog walking too. I have a flexible hybrid work schedule, which allows me to balance time between home and the office. On days I work from home, I’m available for pet care throughout the day, including walks, feeding, and companionship. My schedule also allows me to plan ahead, so I can commit to regular visits or stays and ensure pets get consistent, reliable care during the week and on weekends. I provide care in the pet owner’s home, where pets feel most comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding routines, walk schedules, and any specific care needs. I make sure pets have plenty of attention, exercise, and a calm, safe atmosphere while maintaining the home respectfully. I’m also attentive to any changes in behaviour or health and will keep owners updated regularly for peace of mind. I also have experience handling a variety of dogs on the lead and am confident managing different behaviours during walks. I understand how to approach situations where a dog may feel nervous or unsure, and I always prioritise their comfort and safety while helping them feel at ease.

About: I’ve had 3 border collies and 2 German shepherds… all from puppies and raised them at different times throughout growing up. I have fed, bathed, groomed, walked, played and trained all of these pups, even one of the border collies who was a rescue dog. I would walk them for 2 hours or more as they were super active, which is my favourite part as I love being out in nature and watching them just go crazy 😆 I am a self employed professional dancer and yoga teacher… so sitting perfectly fits into my schedule!! I have free time and flexibility most days during the week! I have a fenced garden which is locked and high, so super safe and clear from dogs running away and for kitties I’ll most probably keep them indoors unless stated by owners. Once I know where everything is in your house to look after your pet, everything will be dealt with ease and you should feel relaxed whilst away!

I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walking routines and any special care needs. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your dog is happy and well looked after.

Chanel was an absolute dream and the perfect dog sitter!! Do not hesitate to book her - we certainly will be rebooking. Chanel left the flat absolutely spotless (even washing the bedsheets and towels before she left, leaving us with fresh bedding - which was massively appreciated when returning from Glasto fest!). Chanel was incredible with Fred and so knowledgable about dogs - she followed all our instructions without hesitation and Fred absolutely adored her. Fred is a nervous dog and can be challenging at times but Chanel took this completely in her stride and handled Fred like a complete pro. We also received plenty of pupdates while away as well! An absolute glowing review as everything was perfect and made our time away from Fred so much hassle free. Chanel is our new go-to!

About: Always been around with dogs and have taken care of different breeds. Have experience giving oral medication and lots of baths! Enjoy going on walks and always keeping them happy, playful and clean to end their days in a good mood. Moved from the Dominican Republic to purse my dream of becoming a psychologist, just finished college and I’m currently working part time as a Community Support Worker so I’m able to offer lots of flexibility and follow my clients needs and wants. Unfortunately, I had to leave my furry friend back home and taking care of yours will fulfill that lost while keeping them joyful and safe! I used to have a cat while living in my home country for +3 and I’ve always been surrounded by dogs throughout my life. About: Hi! I’m Jess I have grown up around animals and have had the pleasure of owning two cats in my own flat up until recently. I have experience with paid dog walking and dog sitting for up to 1 week for up to 2 dogs at a time in my flat, including Chihuahuas, a Miniature Pinscher and Shih Tzus. This included regular walks, toilet break and regular play times! I am happy to adapt to your pets style of living as I allow cats and dogs on my furniture. I enjoy driving to the countryside for walks and feel it would be great to take a dog along for a walk for the day! I am prepared to spend evenings and weekends walking/housesitting dogs or cats and am reliable and can always be contacted. Currently I work full time, working Tuesday - Thursday in the office. I am usually out of the house from 8:20-18:00 on these days. I work from home every Friday and have Saturday/Sundays free. I do have flexibility with my work from home days so I can see about adjusting my schedule to your pets needs. Happy to work from home at a house sitting and keep your pet company during the day or evening! I offer house sitting services alongside regular pop in visits. As I have my own cat, I can no longer house animals in my own home but am happy to house sit and care for cats or dogs in your own home! About: I have been caring for animals my whole life and currently own three dogs myself, including one who requires extra attention and special care. I also previously owned a macaw — one of the most intelligent and demanding birds to keep — which taught me a great deal about patience, routine and reading animal behaviour. I walk dogs every morning, afternoon and evening and am available throughout the day, so I can always accommodate your dog's schedule and needs. I work from home with flexible hours, which means I can give your dog proper time and attention — not just a rushed walk. I treat every dog as if they were my own. I offer morning, midday, afternoon and evening walks to suit your dog's routine. I am home-based and available throughout the day, so I can be flexible around your schedule. Before our first walk, I always arrange a free meet and greet so your dog can get comfortable with me in a relaxed setting. During every walk, I send photo updates so you can see exactly how your dog is doing. After each visit I provide a detailed report card through the app. Your dog's safety is my top priority. I have a secure and calm home environment, and I never leave dogs unattended. I am experienced with dogs of all temperaments, including those with special needs, and I always take time to understand each dog's individual personality before and during every visit. I do not take on more dogs than I can properly care for — quality of care always comes before quantity. You will always receive photo updates and a full report after every walk or visit so you know your dog is happy and safe.

About: Have grown up with pets, from cats my parents had before I was born to always being a dog in the family home. I’ve always enjoyed walking them, playing with them and am very partial to a puppy cuddle. Have had somewhat of an animal shaped hole in my life but have recently been taking care of friends dogs for the odd weekend/ extended period and have been loving it so would welcome the opportunity to befriend some more of the dogs of Manchester! I’m friendly, flexible and patient with pooches. I’ll make sure your pets are well looked after, comfortable and enjoying their vacation! Reliable and will make sure you’re updated on their adventures for peace of mind. Need to know anything else, give me a shout! Flexible working arrangements so WFH the odd weekday but with notice can definitely do doggy day care provided I can nip out throughout the day (1.5 hours max). Also largely free in the evenings and happy to have your pets stay over when available. Mainly work from home Friday and free through to Sunday so very happy to puppy sit for weekends! I share an apartment with a fellow dog lover but no other pets in the house so no problem if your dog prefers not to be around other animals. Lift access to flat so no worries for short legged, stair averse friends.

Dan was amazing with Monte. Very kind and friendly at the meet and greet and Monte took an instant liking to him. I knew Monte would be in safe hands as Dan made sure he knew everything about Monte’s routine and I came back to a very happy dog and I need to give Dan extra praise for accommodating my later than last minute request to change plans due to a train nightmare which made me late coming back. About: Hi! I’m Georgia, a reliable and caring animal lover based in Manchester. I’ve grown up around dogs and have always been the person friends and family ask to look after their pets when they’re away. I sadly lost my family dog I grew up with last year so I absolutely love the chance of looking after others. I love getting outside for walks and runs, so I’m very happy to take energetic dogs out for longer walks, but I’m equally happy relaxing with older pets who just want company. I understand how important it is to feel your dog is safe and happy while you’re away, so I’ll always send updates and photos to give you peace of mind. My camera roll is already filled with dog pictures! I’m responsible, calm, and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs a walk, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I’d love to help. Feel free to message me with any questions Pet care fits easily into my routine as I have a flexible schedule. I work from home on Tuesdays and Fridays, which means I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and spending time with pets throughout the day. On the other weekdays I work in a dog-friendly office and have a full hour lunch break, so I’m able to do midday walks or visits nearby. I’m also available in the evenings and most weekends, so I can be flexible depending on what your pet needs. I enjoy getting outside for walks and making sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. I also live in a dog friendly apartment! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific instructions so I can keep things as consistent as possible while you’re away. I grew up with a very friendly Labrador, so I’m very comfortable around dogs and understand how important routine, exercise, and attention are for their wellbeing. I also regularly look after my friends’ cocker spaniels, so I’m used to caring for energetic and affectionate dogs. When caring for pets in their home, I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise, and receive lots of attention and affection. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away. For walks, I keep dogs on the lead unless instructed otherwise and make sure they are walked in safe areas. I’m always attentive to their behaviour and surroundings so every walk is calm and enjoyable. I will always treat your home with respect and make sure everything is left tidy and secure. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. My apartment is a dog friendly building and I live close enough to peel park to make sure there’s somewhere spacious to walk them.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mollie , this is our first time using a sitter so we were a bit apprehensive . Mollie was brilliant with our 2 cocker spaniels , she came to meet us all first , then stayed over in our home with Stanley and Molly , Stan is a lively puppy and Molly our older dog can be a bit moody , but they both took to Mollie straight away. She respected our home and the dogs loved her . Thanks Mollie

Larissa is absolutely wonderful. So many good things to say about her-the most important thing is that she loves animals and went well above and beyond in caring for my high maintenance rescues- the result is that my dogs absolutely adored her and cuddled up to her immediately. One of my dogs needs ointment in her eye multiple times daily and Larissa handled it like a pro. I’m nervous leaving them due to their issues and she sent updates on progress, adorable photos, and was amazingly communicative. Being rescues (as well as stubborn French Bulldogs) they can pull on the lead - I shared my concerns and Larissa took my concerns seriously and was attentive and intentional about it and she kept them in check and safe from their own idiocy so that I didn’t worry about them while we were away. Larissa was so respectful of our home- my kitchen was definitely cleaner when she left than when she arrived. I cannot recommend Larissa highly enough. I’m so grateful she’s in my neighbourhood and I will definitely be asking her to take care of our gremlins again.

Olivia was lovely to work with! She took the time to meet us beforehand and get to know the dogs, which was great as our pups were then super happy when she came and looked after them for us! It was lovely getting photo updates of all the cuddles the pups were getting with Olivia and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again ☺️

Anthony helped us out at short notice with Coco. He followed all instructions and kept in touch with videos and photos. You could see she was really happy and really loved spending time with him and was sad to see him leave. He is the best sitter we have ever had and will definitely be using him again. Thanks for your help X
