“We had Laura house sit for our 2 dogs and cat, this is the second time we have booked Laura, she looked after our animals and house like her own! Communicated everyday how they were getting on, pictures included. Can’t thank Laura enough :), I know the animals are in good hands with her”

“Anna has looked after my dogs a few times now and she’s always excellent. I came home to three relaxed, happy dogs, with Benji nicely tired after two woodland walks he clearly loved, and the girls having enjoyed separate beach trips. She really understands their different needs. As always, communication was great, with regular updates and lovely photos throughout. Anna is reliable, thoughtful and brilliant with the dogs.”

“Jodie has been an absolute super star with house sitting my two dogs for a week and I would highly recommend her. She works as a team with her mum Gillian and once I'd submitted my request they both came to meet my dogs and I. Josie was so attentive and understanding with of my dogs temperaments and needs, as one is old and blind and the other is quite anxious. Jodie took it all in her strid, mrssaged me with any questions and sent daily updates with pictures and videos which meant I could really relax and enjoy the holiday knowing my girls were in good hands. Jodie also cleansed and tidied the hosue for our return which was great to come back to. I'll definitely book Jodie again when I need to 😊”
“We couldn't have asked for a better house-sitter than Jordan. When he came to meet us and our dog, he was so polite and friendly, and clearly wanted to know all about her needs and routines. He provided lots of photos and updates throughout the time we were away. We got home to a very happy dog and a very clean and tidy house. He was extremely respectful of our home and attentive to our pet. We'd definitely ask Jordan to come and stay again! Highly recommend.”

About: I’m a dog lover in Beckenham with 2 years of experience caring for furry friends. Your pup will get plenty of attention, love, and fun walks while staying in a warm, welcoming environment. I’ll treat them like part of the family! I work part-time from home and walk 10,000–15,000 steps daily, so your pet will have plenty of company and outdoor adventures with me. Your pet will never be left alone at my home, and I’ll ensure they receive daily walks and plenty of attention. I strictly follow all instructions from owners regarding feeding, training, and behavior to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

“I felt so comfortable leaving Kal with Naomi, she’s responsible and caring and looked after him amazingly. She asks lots of questions so if obvious she takes the responsibility very seriously. She sent lots of pics so I could relax knowing he was happy and being well cared for. Will book her again soon.”

About: I have adored animals for as long as I can remember. I began volunteering as a cat cuddler and dog pen cleaner at an animal rescue center as a teenager. We always had cats in our home growing up. I worked in a pet store for three years and feel I gained much knowledge and insight in doing so. Unfortunately my partner is allergic to pet hair so we do not have our own pets at our house. To get my animal fix I have been a member of 'borrow my doggy,' where I have regularly walked a number of dogs over the years. I have been trusted to house sit for friends over the years and have cared for dogs, cats and donkeys! I currently work part time so have plenty of availability. I am an avid daily walker so can offer your dog whatever level of exercise they require. As mentioned, I do not board pets in our own home due to my partners allergies. However, I am organized, trustworthy and responsible and have house sat in others homes many times. I will follow your instructions rigidly in regards to the care requirements of your home and pets. House sitting will be done by myself only.
“I can honestly say Victoria has been the best thing for our pets that we could have hoped for! Our German Shepherd is very needy and anxious when left. He lost 6 kilos in weight and didn't eat and sleep the last time we went on holiday. This time my husband actually wanted to cancel the holiday, but we were lucky enough to find Victoria, and have come home from to 2 very happy and relaxed pets. Our cat seemed to have carried on like we had been there all the time, and our GS is relaxed, happy and eating and sleeping as normal; in fact dare I say it, MORE than usual! Victoria kept in touch and kept us updated throughout our holiday, is lovely, experienced and personable, and we would have no hesitation in rebooking her or recommending her services. We feel extremely lucky to have found her through Rover. Thank you Victoria for looking after our pets so well. Sonia, Gray, Samson and Milo 🐾💕”

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbours cats since I was around 12. I also have a 12 year old Cavalier called Hughie who is my best friend. My whole life has been surrounded by animals and I love meeting new friends x I currently work part-time at Screwfix and am looking to expanding my options in my gap year. I am very flexible and am able to visit frequently. I have a fenced garden for my dog who has always been prone to escaping with bad recall. I am more than prepared to keep all pets where they should be, it’s like a 6th sense for me.
About: I helped raise Alfie, a Cockapoo, for two years with my ex, which gave me valuable hands-on experience in caring for and training a dog from a young age. I also regularly look after my boss’s Cockapoo, Lottie, and have cared for several friends’ dogs while they’ve been on holiday — most recently Sandy the Cavapoo and Lucy the Cocker Spaniel. I’m confident when it comes to looking after dogs and ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I love going on long walks, but also cuddling up on the sofa and relaxing. I work Monday to Friday in an office. Dogs are allowed into the office with me. I have weekends completely free. I enjoy walking and running. I have a decent sized garden with a gate and it is fenced off. My home is cosy and warm and welcome to all dogs. Hopefully lots of cuddles on the sofa!
“Demi made us feel relaxed leaving our fur baby when we went away on holiday. Demi took wonderful care of our dog while we were away. She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated, with the pup dates which gave us real peace of mind as we missed him so much. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after and enjoyed all the cuddles and playtime!! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Demi to anyone looking for a fantastic dog sitter! I would highly recommend Demi to anyone, thank you so much! Xx”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Olly. This was a last-minute booking, and we really appreciated how accommodating and helpful you were. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Olly was in good hands. Olly seemed happy and well looked after when we got back. We’ll definitely be using Karys again and would happily recommend her to others. Once again thank you so much!”

“I highly recommend Bianca. She confirmed a time for arrival two days before the stay. Throughout the afternoon stay she sent regular updates/photos which was appreciated. When I arrived home Bianca gave an update on Hero. It was nice to be able to go out for a family occasion and be relaxed knowing Hero was being cared for. Thank you so much Bianca.”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my whole life. I grew up with two family dogs from the age of 15, both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels which we got the first at 6 months old and the second, 6 months after, at 4 months old. From an early age, I helped with their daily care, including feeding, walking, grooming and training, which gave me a great understanding of their needs and behaviour. I now have my own dog, Muffin the miniature dachshund, who I’ve had for the past year and got him when he was 9 weeks old. Raising and training my own puppy has given me hands-on experience with everything from toilet training and socialisation to building routines, reinforcing good behaviour and providing plenty of exercise, enrichment and affection. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs. I’ll always make sure they feel safe, loved and well cared for while they’re with me. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate weekday and weekend bookings. I’m reliable and able to adapt to your pet’s usual routine to ensure consistent and stress-free care. Safety and trust are my top priorities when looking after pets. I make sure to follow all care instructions closely, maintain a secure environment and build a calm, reassuring space so pets feel comfortable and relaxed while in my care.
“Georgia and Matty spoiled Cooper whilst we were away. Loved the updates and photos sent. Think Cooper wasn’t happy were he as he’s missing his new besties. Recommend Georgia and Matty and will be booking them again in the near future”

“Sophia! Thank you so much! Never used a house / pet sitting service before, so we were rightly nervous when we got to our destination - what happened if she didn't turn up / something happened / it was scam - all the typical usual worries when you do something for the first time. Quite ridiculous really as the first thing we saw when we landed was a picture of our doggo and a message assuring us that all was well and Star (our dog) was happy and being well looked after. We got multiple updates each day, which pictures of Star - so we always felt comfortable and able to relax and enjoy our holiday. The house was left beautifully clean when we arrived home too. Pre-house sitting there was lots of communication and chatting about things we thought Sophia might want to know - it was never any trouble dropping a message through. Thank you for taking care of our Star and our Home. Next year you'll have the pleasure and challenge of having Astro too! Highly highly highly recommend...”

“I would highly recommend Jazmin. She was absolutely fantastic watching my three dogs, two cats and a tortoise for a week. This was not an easy sit as one of my dogs is deaf and blind and one has cognitive impairment but Jazmin was not phased by this. I had regular updates through the week and I returned to a clean and tidy home, with the dogs and cats relaxed and settled. I would definitely use Jazmin’s services again.”

If I could give Anna 10 stars, I would! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Anna looked after our dog, Frankie, in our home, and she was amazing. She is kind, gentle, and genuinely caring. She followed all of our instructions perfectly, kept us updated throughout with regular messages and photos, and gave us complete peace of mind. Frankie absolutely loved her, and we're so grateful to have found such a wonderful sitter. We'll definitely be booking Anna again. Highly recommend! ❤️🐾

We have a 15 year old blind and deaf dachshund and a 7 year old ‘master manipulator’ dachshund and we have never left them at home to go away on holiday ever. They always went to family but with the old guys needs he needed to be in his own environment/home. Stumbled across Gillian & Ronnie here on Rover and from the first meet I just knew instantly I had to have them in my home and with my boys for the week. They are truly some of the nicest people I have met and the boys took to them straight away. We went on holiday and did not worry one bit, we were updated with pictures and messages and it was so lovely to see them all bond over the week. My home is exactly how I left it and couldn’t be happier. I would 100% recommend this gorgeous couple to look after your furry kids. Totally exceeded my expectations 😍 Thankyou Gillian & Ronnie, so grateful for everything you have done for us ❤️

Katie-Ruth has just spent 5 days at our house looking after our 2 dogs. They were very well cared for, regular toilet breaks and walks. Katie-Ruth was very accommodating to my dogs needs.. They had fun an given the attention they love. Our house was left spotless and so was my garden. Lovely friendly an good service. Big thanks 😊

As always Sophia was fabulous. She looks after Louis and his meds perfectly. I always know he is in safe hands. On top of that which is obviously the most important but she also stays at my house to make his anxiety easier and takes great care of my house too.
We couldn't have asked for a better house-sitter than Jordan. Highly recommend.

Matty & Georgia are a lovely couple who came to stay with our 4 dogs in our home. They have a great calming presence with the dogs and looked after them so well. We were thrilled to have found an amazing pet sitter who we can rely on. The dogs were very happy and Matty kept us updated throughout our trip. The house was also kept clean and tidy.
We can not speak highly enough of Stanislava! What an amazing human and really saved our day. Little puppy absolutely adored her, she kept us updated with pictures, messages and really went out of her way to be helpful. If i lived in the area, I would definitely have used her services each and every time. Thanks again!

Candice did an amazing job looking after our dog, Murphy, for two nights while we were getting married! It was our first time using Rover, and after reading all the great reviews, I knew he’d be in the right hands. Candice sent regular updates and photos of Murphy, which really helped put our minds at ease. Our home was left exactly as we’d left it too! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Candice 🫶🏻

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Warrington walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Warrington choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
