“We are always hesitant to leave our little old girl as she has health problems and can get quite anxious but Laura made her feel at ease and in her own home which allowed us to enjoy our time away. Highly recommended.”

“We couldn't have asked for a better house-sitter than Jordan. When he came to meet us and our dog, he was so polite and friendly, and clearly wanted to know all about her needs and routines. He provided lots of photos and updates throughout the time we were away. We got home to a very happy dog and a very clean and tidy house. He was extremely respectful of our home and attentive to our pet. We'd definitely ask Jordan to come and stay again! Highly recommend.”

“Gillian has done the most fantastic job at looking after our dog for a week while we were on holiday. I felt that our girl was in very good hands and has been extremely well looked after and cared for. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be using Gillian again.”

About: Hi! I’m a passionate dog lover based in the local area, and I’d love to care for your dog as if they were my own. I share my home with Hugo, my friendly and affectionate Staffie cross, who has truly cemented my love for dogs. Through him, I’ve gained hands-on experience with day-to-day care, exercise needs, and understanding each dog’s unique personality. I really enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that’s long countryside walks, relaxed strolls around the neighbourhood, or letting dogs explore safely and happily at their own pace. I’m attentive, patient, and always tuned in to what a dog needs to feel comfortable and content. I strongly believe that dogs thrive best in environments where they feel safe, secure, and loved. That’s why I offer in-home boarding in their own familiar surroundings, helping to reduce stress and maintain their normal routine. Staying in their own home provides a calm, reassuring alternative to kennels, where they can relax in the place they know best while still receiving plenty of care, companionship, and attention. Whether it’s for walks, day care, or overnight stays in your home, I’ll make sure your dog feels happy, settled, and well looked after while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! I am currently available most weekends and school holidays. Wherever and whenever I can help. I am an active person who is always exploring the outdoors or relaxing in the comfort of my own home. Being a dog owner my self, I understand how dogs thrive from their routine. I am happy to stick to you and your dogs regular routine.

I'm currently unemployed but sometimes go out in the days I'll be able to fit all the animals into my schedule day and night so I'll always be there to care for them I'll always ask for steps if you have any requirements while I'm there as I would want your pet to keep there routine that they already have and I'll stick to there schedule that they may follow day to day.
“I would highly recommend Jazmin. She was absolutely fantastic watching my three dogs, two cats and a tortoise for a week. This was not an easy sit as one of my dogs is deaf and blind and one has cognitive impairment but Jazmin was not phased by this. I had regular updates through the week and I returned to a clean and tidy home, with the dogs and cats relaxed and settled. I would definitely use Jazmin’s services again.”

About: I helped raise Alfie, a Cockapoo, for two years with my ex, which gave me valuable hands-on experience in caring for and training a dog from a young age. I also regularly look after my boss’s Cockapoo, Lottie, and have cared for several friends’ dogs while they’ve been on holiday — most recently Sandy the Cavapoo and Lucy the Cocker Spaniel. I’m confident when it comes to looking after dogs and ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I love going on long walks, but also cuddling up on the sofa and relaxing. I work Monday to Friday in an office. Dogs are allowed into the office with me. I have weekends completely free. I enjoy walking and running. I have a decent sized garden with a gate and it is fenced off. My home is cosy and warm and welcome to all dogs. Hopefully lots of cuddles on the sofa!

“Matty looked after our dog Dougie for the weekend while we were at a family wedding and it gave us peace of mind to know that he was being well looked after in his own surroundings as he suffers from anxiety. Matty is very polite and kept us updated how Dougie was doing. We would recommend Matty”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs on and off whilst being at University. I love meeting new dogs and walking them and tailoring my care for different needs. I have a senior dog myself, so I am used to caring for more temperamental and frightened dogs with sight and sound problems. I also have a 1 year old puppy who is full of energy and needs lots of attention, but he is scared of other dogs. This makes me very adaptable for walks and care. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time for caring for your dogs! My shifts are very flexible and I am adaptable to most schedules! I am able to tailor the environment for the dog’s needs, whether that be playful or peaceful. I provide a secure and safe environment.
“Louise looked after our dog brilliantly yesterday evening. She was an instant success with him, and we came home to a very happy and calm dog! We would definitely book with Louise again in the future. Thank you!”

About: Hi I love animals and for the last twenty years I have had the pleasure of sharing my life with cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, and fish. I have two rescue Greyhounds and have been volunteering for the Greyhound Trust and Home Run Hounds for 6 years. Prior to that I have volunteered for the RSPCA. I am currently completing an online course in dog behaviour and welfare. I have been a nurse for 30 years now working 9-5 Monday to Friday but with flexibility and my dream is to eventually work full time with animals. I'm currently working full time Monday - Friday (9-5) but there is plenty of time to help with animal care early morning, after 5pm and weekends. I volunteer at dog kennels 8-10.30am on Saturdays. I would not see fitting in animal care as a chore but instead a priveladge. Who doesn't love animal cuddles, obviously on their terms 🙂 My hope is to reduce my 9-5 nursing role and build up my animal care role. I have two rescue Greyhounds, one who is anxious and we are working on her reactivity which is through fear so at this time I am not offering home boarding however I am happy to come to you. Just let me know your routine and requirements and I will respect and work with you.

If I could give Anna 10 stars, I would! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Anna looked after our dog, Frankie, in our home, and she was amazing. She is kind, gentle, and genuinely caring. She followed all of our instructions perfectly, kept us updated throughout with regular messages and photos, and gave us complete peace of mind. Frankie absolutely loved her, and we're so grateful to have found such a wonderful sitter. We'll definitely be booking Anna again. Highly recommend! ❤️🐾

We have a 15 year old blind and deaf dachshund and a 7 year old ‘master manipulator’ dachshund and we have never left them at home to go away on holiday ever. They always went to family but with the old guys needs he needed to be in his own environment/home. Stumbled across Gillian & Ronnie here on Rover and from the first meet I just knew instantly I had to have them in my home and with my boys for the week. They are truly some of the nicest people I have met and the boys took to them straight away. We went on holiday and did not worry one bit, we were updated with pictures and messages and it was so lovely to see them all bond over the week. My home is exactly how I left it and couldn’t be happier. I would 100% recommend this gorgeous couple to look after your furry kids. Totally exceeded my expectations 😍 Thankyou Gillian & Ronnie, so grateful for everything you have done for us ❤️

Katie-Ruth has just spent 5 days at our house looking after our 2 dogs. They were very well cared for, regular toilet breaks and walks. Katie-Ruth was very accommodating to my dogs needs.. They had fun an given the attention they love. Our house was left spotless and so was my garden. Lovely friendly an good service. Big thanks 😊

As always Sophia was fabulous. She looks after Louis and his meds perfectly. I always know he is in safe hands. On top of that which is obviously the most important but she also stays at my house to make his anxiety easier and takes great care of my house too.
We couldn't have asked for a better house-sitter than Jordan. When he came to meet us and our dog, he was so polite and friendly, and clearly wanted to know all about her needs and routines. He provided lots of photos and updates throughout the time we were away. We got home to a very happy dog and a very clean and tidy house. Matty & Georgia are a lovely couple who came to stay with our 4 dogs in our home. They have a great calming presence with the dogs and looked after them so well. We were thrilled to have found an amazing pet sitter who we can rely on. The dogs were very happy and Matty kept us updated throughout our trip. The house was also kept clean and tidy.
We can not speak highly enough of Stanislava! What an amazing human and really saved our day. Little puppy absolutely adored her, she kept us updated with pictures, messages and really went out of her way to be helpful. If i lived in the area, I would definitely have used her services each and every time. Thanks again!

Candice did an amazing job looking after our dog, Murphy, for two nights while we were getting married! It was our first time using Rover, and after reading all the great reviews, I knew he’d be in the right hands. Candice sent regular updates and photos of Murphy, which really helped put our minds at ease. Our home was left exactly as we’d left it too! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Candice 🫶🏻

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Warrington walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Warrington choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
