About: I’ve looked after my own dog since a puppy he’s now nine. I’ve also looked after other people’s dogs that have varied in age from puppies to senior. I’m currently on my summer holidays after finishing my A-levels. So I’m available most of the time. This can help those who need support with their pets while at work I have a big fenced garden and a dog of my own. The house is located away from the road which can help with safety. I live near the jumbles reservoir which is great for longer walks.
“Vanessa stayed in my house whilst I was away for a week. She kept us updated with videos and msgs. She had plans for a day out in the week which we knew about. As Ted hadn’t been left alone all day before, and the weather was hot, she kindly cut her day short to make sure he was ok. We were very grateful for her kindness doing that and showed us how much she cared for Ted. It was lovely to see Ted happy and settled with her. Vanessa looked after him so well and I know he will miss her. We came home to a clean and tidy house, and a very content dog. Thankyou Vanessa.”

About: I have a deep love for dogs of all sizes and recently gave 11 years of wonderful care to my own beloved Rottweiler. I have always had large breeds, my favourite being the Rottweiler I am confident, patient, and very experienced with large breeds, senior dog care, and maintaining daily routines. I promise to treat your pet with the exact same love, respect, and attentive care that I gave my own. I am currently taking a university gap year for the next 13 months, so my daily schedule is completely open and highly flexible. I am available for morning, afternoon, or evening dog walking. Because I don't have rigid work commitments right now, I can easily accommodate your pet's preferred routine and be there for your beloved doggy. Safety is my absolute top priority when walking your dog or visiting your home. Having personally owned a large breed dog for 11 years, I know how crucial it is to stay highly alert to our surroundings. I keep all dogs securely on their leads, avoid unknown dogs, and carefully follow any specific handling instructions you provide. I am also completely respectful of your home, ensuring it is securely locked after every single visit.
“Sophie was booked for dog sitting for my two girls, one being only 8 months old and Sophie was so good with them and I felt they were fully cared for whilst we were away for the evening. We met up before hand and I immediately felt completely at ease knowing the girls would be in good hands. The girls are looking forward to seeing her again soon!”

About: Hi! I’m Lita, a proud pet mum to three lovely pets: one dog and two cats. I’ve cared for animals for over 10 years, so I have plenty of experience with both cats and dogs, from everyday care and playtime to giving oral medication when needed. I’ll treat your pet with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether they need a nice walk, a game of fetch, brushing, cuddles, feeding, or a little extra spoiling, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m also happy to help with small pet care tasks such as cleaning litter trays or pet toilets. Just let me know what your pet’s routine is, and I’ll follow it carefully. I work from home as a graphic designer, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, visits, and quality time with your pet. I currently work fully remote so I only need somewhere I can plug a computer next to your pet. I can have as many walky or play-time breaks as needed and real cuddles! I am happy to provide daily updates and photos and keep a diary/summary of the day. My house is fully fenced and has a small garden to where the dog can have full access during the day
“Jade was brilliant with our little Marie, keeping us updated from when on our honeymoon in Japan. Marie always looked happy and content in all the pictures sent through which helped put our mind at ease during our holiday. Jade also did a meet and greet with us before going ahead with the booking which was great, we could tell our Marie took to Jade instantly. Jade was super helpful with everything and communicated really well, really great job!”

About: I've just recently lost my gorgeous little Boston, winston and am missing him so much, so thought it would be an amazing opportunity to take care of and cuddle lots of other doggies until I am ready to get another. I had winston for 12 years and loved him like my child. I trained him from a puppy and then took care of him and gave him his medication and lots of care in his senior years. I was always brought up around dogs and genuinely love them more than most people. You can be guaranteed your fur babies will get a lot of love and care with me. I'm a teacher so am available at weekends or during school holidays for boarding. I can do drop ins and walks in the evenings on top of this. I dont have any children or other pets so your doggy will get my undivided attention. I treat them like children so they are very welcome on the couch and on the bed with me etc. I live near big playing fields and also have a garden.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and currently help care for my family’s two dogs, including daily walks, feeding, and general care. I also have experience looking after multiple dogs at once, having stayed at my sister’s home to care for her four Pomeranians while she was away. I’m confident handling different dog personalities and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. Pet care fits really well into my routine right now as I’ve recently finished work and have a flexible schedule before starting university. I’m available throughout the week and weekends for walks, feeding, and spending quality time with pets. I’m active and reliable, so I’ll make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care I usually take dogs on walks with my own dogs, either around local parks or Pennington Flash, and sometimes let them run around and chill in a big garden. I make sure they get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and attention. The main thing is keeping them happy, safe, and comfortable while they’re with me.
“Layla was lovely and Raven loved her. She came on time and took her for a walk. Fantastic dog sitter! Our dog was happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed the day. Great communication and very trustworthy. Highly recommend!”

“Alix was brilliant looking after Luna for us for a week whilst we were away . She kept us updated with how Luna was doing and looked after our home leaving everywhere clean and tidy . Luna obviously had a lovely time”

About: Caring for animals isn’t just something I do — it’s something that has been part of my life for over 12 years. I truly love building connections with the pets I care for and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and reptiles, each with their own unique personalities and needs. From playful, high-energy pups to independent cats and reptiles requiring attentive habitat care, I take the time to understand what makes each animal feel secure and happy. I know how important routines are, and I do my best to keep everything consistent so your pet feels at ease. I offer house sitting and drop-in visits because I believe pets are most comfortable in their own environment. Whether it’s keeping up with daily walks, playtime, feedings, litter box cleaning, or carefully monitoring a reptile’s temperature and humidity, I handle every detail with care and responsibility. I also understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets and home in someone else’s hands. I treat every home with respect and every animal like they’re my own. You can expect thoughtful updates, photos, and open communication so you always feel connected and reassured. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: for you to come home to a happy, relaxed pet who felt loved the entire time you were away. 🐾 I’m available full-time because I work for myself, which gives me a very flexible schedule. This allows me to prioritize pet care and adjust my day around your pet’s specific needs. I’m available for: House Sitting – Weekdays & Weekends Drop-In Visits – Morning, Midday, Evening Last-Minute Bookings (when available) Holiday Care Because I create my own work schedule, I’m able to provide consistent attention, stick closely to your pet’s routine, and accommodate special timing requests whenever possible. If you have specific scheduling needs, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to work with you to make sure your pet receives the care and attention they deserve. 🐾 Caring for pets in their own home is something I truly value because it allows them to stay comfortable in a familiar, stress-free environment. When I’m house sitting or doing drop-in visits, I focus on keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible — from feeding schedules and walks to playtime and quiet cuddle time. I pay close attention to their behavior, energy levels, and overall well-being to ensure they’re happy and healthy while you’re away. I also treat your home with the utmost respect, keeping everything clean and secure. My goal is for you to return to a relaxed pet who felt safe, loved, and well cared for the entire time
“Amy was fab watching both my dogs. She did a meet and greet beforehand, was really respectful and prepared - which put me at ease! During the evening stay, Amy kept me updated and my dogs were relaxed with her. I’d happily use Amy again!”

“I can’t recommend Holly enough! She was so calm and confident when our dog wasn’t, and sent lots of reassurance of him once he calmed down ☺️ She is accommodating and friendly and your pets will be in safe hands ☺️”

About: I've always been an animal lover, with pets my whole life. For the past few years, I've taken care of all sorts of dogs, from dachshunds to flat-coat retrievers. I've also done a lot of cat sitting for family. I absolutely love spending time with and taking care of dogs and cats, making sure they're comfy, fed, and happy. While I was in Asia, I even volunteered at an animal rescue shelter, which just added to my experience and love for animals. I currently work from home every Monday, so I'm available to spend the day or a long weekend if needed. I am currently employed full-time, and my Mondays are designated as work-from-home days, which would allow me to accommodate any daily care requests or even an extended weekend. When I'm pet-sitting, I always make sure to treat the home with respect and ensure the animal is comfortable, well-cared for, and gets all the attention they need! 🐾🏡

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Bolton
Alisha was fantastic! Really considerate and professional, very attentive to the needs to our two nervous and reactive dogs, they were even cuddled up with her! Very respectful of the house and space she was in and dealt really well with the meds they need as well! 100% will be booking again, couldn't recommend her enough!

Austeja and Maizon house sat our 2 dogs Roxy and Marley over 11 days and they where amazing. The dogs where walked and fed everyday and never left alone, my house was left very tidy and they had even left little gifts for me and my daughter, and toys for the dogs which I thought was so kind of them. I would definitly recommend them and will 100% be asking them to dogsit again in the future. Thankyou both xx

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bolton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
