“James is excellent. He made us feel confident being away from the dogs and he was great at keeping us updated on how things were going. The dogs seemed very happy and relaxed around both James & Sara. We would definitely book with him again!”

“Michaela was absolutely amazing with Bean, cannot recommend her enough. She spent time with her, took her out on walks and sent loads of pictures throughout the day. We will definitely be using her in the future! x”

“Sophie was brilliant! She was on time kept the house very nest and tidy and sent loads of pictures throughout the day! My dog looked like he had a wonderful time and I will 100% be booking her again!”

“Callum is a polite, trustworthy and reliable person, and we will definitely be using him again. Unfortunately we were let down last minute, and Callum stepped in to lok after out two babies whilst we stayed away for the evening and did a brilliant job. One of our babies is nervous around new people, especially men, Callum was brilliant with him, made him feel relaxed and when we got home both were happy. I'd highly recommend Callum.”

“Vanessa stayed in my house whilst I was away for a week. She kept us updated with videos and msgs. She had plans for a day out in the week which we knew about. As Ted hadn’t been left alone all day before, and the weather was hot, she kindly cut her day short to make sure he was ok. We were very grateful for her kindness doing that and showed us how much she cared for Ted. It was lovely to see Ted happy and settled with her. Vanessa looked after him so well and I know he will miss her. We came home to a clean and tidy house, and a very content dog. Thankyou Vanessa.”

“Amy was fab watching both my dogs. She did a meet and greet beforehand, was really respectful and prepared - which put me at ease! During the evening stay, Amy kept me updated and my dogs were relaxed with her. I’d happily use Amy again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a young child, I have had dogs all my life and started looking after other peoples pets at around 16, I have two of my own large rescue dogs that come with their own issues so I am well experienced with animals with nerves. I understand pets that are shy as I have looked after my aunties pets that struggle with anxiety and we have built a bond overtime. I have experience with slightly larger breeds such as male staffies and pit bulls as I have grown up with them since I was 7, I have also looked after puppies before (less than 1 years old, not less than a month old etc.) I am willing and capable to care of a young pup. I have looked after many cats and understand some are not as sociable, I am patient. I am no stranger to being nibbled by puppies and giving them extra play time / longer walks to tire them out, I also understand older dogs need a more relaxed approach. I have recently finished college and I have much more spare time, as such an animal enthusiast I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. I wake up early and complete daily chores around the house and feeding / walking my own pets. I also sell online so I will often be posting parcels, I am 18 with a full driving licence and my own vehicle so transport is no issue! I am available all throughout the day. I have been trusted multiple times with peoples house keys and being able to let myself in / lock up their homes to watch over their pets. Our garden is fenced off and pretty decent space wise, we also have toys at home that have never been touched as our dog is not interested, we have a large crate if necessary and other dog beds, we have a guest room that can be used for your pet. We always have treats and multiple water bowls available. The back garden is safe and we do not take the dogs on the front garden unless they are on a lead.

“Lil was excellent with Raven. She is very knowledgeable about dog behaviour and make Raven who is always a bit shy very comfortable. Raven looked comfortable and very chilled and relaxed. Would definitely recommend Lil.”

“Alix came round to my house to look after Maggie. Maggie is great with people but needs building up slowly with new situations and Alix was very patient with her. I would definitely use Alix again. Shes very sensible and I felt really safe leaving her with my fur child.”

“Luc was incredible with our dog Pablo; it was our first time leaving him alone overnight with someone, and he did wonderfully to put our minds at ease whilst we were away. Pablo absolutely loved him, and we look forward to booking him again soon!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, growing up with dogs, cats and rabbits in the home. Since buying my first home, I now have two cats and a rabbit of my own, and I regularly look after my parents’ cockapoos and five cats when they go away. I’ve also cared for friends’ retrievers and have experience with a wide range of cat breeds and temperaments, including Ragamuffins, Birmans and Ragdolls as well as some gorgeous fun loving moggies :) I offer a calm, loving, cosy home environment with a large secure garden where dogs can safely run around and play. Visiting dogs are treated like part of the family and can make themselves comfortable around the house, whether they enjoy sofa cuddles, quiet time or garden zoomies. I can't wait to have a dog of my own in the future! I’m patient, reliable and happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding instructions, walks, playtime, medication where needed (having owned a disabled cat previously that required medication) and regular updates for owners. As I have my own cats and rabbit, they can be kept separate from visiting dogs and cats if needed, so everyone feels safe and settled. I'm 28 years old and currently a Masters student completing my dissertation so I will be at home all the time and I live with my partner who's a high-school teacher. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and so I promise to care for them with kindness, attention and genuine love until you return to them. Ready to accept boarders, stay at your home wiht pets and offer dog walking if its close to my home. My current routine is ideal for pet care, as I’m home most of the week and love having animals around while I study. I’m currently at home throughout the week while completing my Master’s dissertation, so my schedule is very flexible and I’m able to give pets plenty of time, attention and company during the day. Because I’m home-based at the moment, your pet wouldn’t be left for long periods, and I can easily work around their usual routine — whether that includes feeding times, walks, playtime, garden breaks, medication, cuddles or quiet time. I also really enjoy getting out for local walks, so having a dog to care for fits perfectly with my lifestyle. I’m happy to build walks into the day depending on your dog’s energy levels and needs, whether they prefer a gentle stroll or something a little more active. If I go to the gym, I usually go very early in the morning around 5:30–6:00am, so it doesn’t take away from the time I can dedicate to looking after your pet but I can work this around the dog/cats routine. Overall, my routine is calm, flexible and home-based, which means I can offer a reliable and attentive environment for your animal while they’re in my care. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, settled and loved, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m visiting theirs. In my own home, I offer a calm, welcoming environment where pets can settle in at their own pace and be treated like part of the family. I have a large secure garden where dogs can enjoy fresh air, playtime and toilet breaks safely. Inside the house, pets are welcome to make themselves comfortable, whether they prefer being close by, relaxing in a quiet spot, or having space to themselves. I always follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding instructions, walks, medication, sleep arrangements and any specific rules or preferences from their owner. Because I have two cats and a rabbit of my own, I’m very mindful of introductions, boundaries and keeping animals safe. My own pets can be kept separate from visiting pets if needed, and I would always discuss this with owners beforehand to make sure the arrangement is suitable for everyone. I’m also happy to care for one or two dogs/cats at a time if needed or just look after one if that helps your pet feel more settled and gives you extra peace of mind. I take time to understand each animal’s personality, behaviour and needs before a booking, including how they are with other animals, whether they have any anxieties, allergies, medical needs or triggers, and what helps them feel calm. I believe in gentle, patient care and would never force interaction or rush a pet who needs time to adjust. Happy to have a call or meeting beforehand if that makes you feel more comfortable. If I’m caring for pets in an owner’s home, I treat the home with the same respect and care I would expect in my own. I’ll make sure pets are fed, checked, comforted and cared for properly, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so owners know their pet is happy and well looked after.
About: I've always been an animal lover, with pets my whole life. For the past few years, I've taken care of all sorts of dogs, from dachshunds to flat-coat retrievers. I've also done a lot of cat sitting for family. I absolutely love spending time with and taking care of dogs and cats, making sure they're comfy, fed, and happy. While I was in Asia, I even volunteered at an animal rescue shelter, which just added to my experience and love for animals. I currently work from home every Monday, so I'm available to spend the day or a long weekend if needed. I am currently employed full-time, and my Mondays are designated as work-from-home days, which would allow me to accommodate any daily care requests or even an extended weekend. When I'm pet-sitting, I always make sure to treat the home with respect and ensure the animal is comfortable, well-cared for, and gets all the attention they need! 🐾🏡

I absolutely love dogs—they really are the best companions, and I enjoy spending time walking, playing, and making sure they feel happy and comfortable. Whether your dog needs a relaxed stroll or a more energetic walk, I’m happy to adapt to their needs and personality. I also have experience walking dogs of all shapes and sizes at Manchester dog home, in which I used to volunteer through work. I currently work full time Monday to Friday mainly 8:30-5, but can be flexible (7:30-4) etc. I work from home on Monday and Friday. Flexible times over lunch that can range from 1-2 hours dependant on hours worked etc. Not looking to provide pet sitting due to the dog we own not being the best around dogs coming into the house. However we look after her well (juniper - staff) and take on regular walks

About: I’ve looked after my own dog since a puppy he’s now nine. I’ve also looked after other people’s dogs that have varied in age from puppies to senior. I’m currently on my summer holidays after finishing my A-levels. So I’m available most of the time. This can help those who need support with their pets while at work I have a big fenced garden and a dog of my own. The house is located away from the road which can help with safety. I live near the jumbles reservoir which is great for longer walks.
“Holly and Ryan are absolutely amazing! They looked after our two dogs (both with their own little problems) and they made them both so comfortable and at ease while we were away! They kept us updated regularly and we came home to two happy pups who were sad to see them leave ❤️ Could not recommend highly enough.”

About: Hi! I’m Lita, a proud pet mum to three lovely pets: one dog and two cats. I’ve cared for animals for over 10 years, so I have plenty of experience with both cats and dogs, from everyday care and playtime to giving oral medication when needed. I’ll treat your pet with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether they need a nice walk, a game of fetch, brushing, cuddles, feeding, or a little extra spoiling, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m also happy to help with small pet care tasks such as cleaning litter trays or pet toilets. Just let me know what your pet’s routine is, and I’ll follow it carefully. I work from home as a graphic designer, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, visits, and quality time with your pet. I currently work fully remote so I only need somewhere I can plug a computer next to your pet. I can have as many walky or play-time breaks as needed and real cuddles! I am happy to provide daily updates and photos and keep a diary/summary of the day. My house is fully fenced and has a small garden to where the dog can have full access during the day

Bolton pet owners share their Rover experiences
Caitlin house sat our two French Bulldogs over February half-term, our 8year old blind Ralph, and 10month old puppy, Benji. She was fabulous. We had a couple of settling in sessions beforehand and walks, but the dogs loved her from the start. She was incredibly approachable, seeking to learn all of their habits so she could match their homelife as much as possible. This gave us a lot of confidence, especially as we haven't left Ralph since his eyes were removed 18months ago. Ralph settled easily with her, bizarrely it was Benji the puppy who cried a bit. Caitlin told us this straight away and followed our suggestions which meant this wasn't repeated the following night. She kept is fully informed as to how they were getting on, sent us plenty of pictures, and we were getting quite jealous of how easily we had been replaced as they snuggled up to her!! Caitlin also looked after our axolotl Mo, feeding her worms- not for the squeamish, but no issue to Caitlin! Our house was spotless when we got back too!! Wr would happily recommend Caitlin to anyone, and will definitely be using her again! Thanks so much Caitlin!

Alisha was fantastic! Really considerate and professional, very attentive to the needs to our two nervous and reactive dogs, they were even cuddled up with her! Very respectful of the house and space she was in and dealt really well with the meds they need as well! 100% will be booking again, couldn't recommend her enough!

Austeja and Maizon house sat our 2 dogs Roxy and Marley over 11 days and they where amazing. The dogs where walked and fed everyday and never left alone, my house was left very tidy and they had even left little gifts for me and my daughter, and toys for the dogs which I thought was so kind of them. I would definitly recommend them and will 100% be asking them to dogsit again in the future. Thankyou both xx
