I'm currently working part time, so I have time to help look after your furry friends inbetween work or on my days off plus I will be fully available in school holidays. Food and water: Fresh water will always be available, and food should be appropriate for the pet's species, age, and health needs. Safe living space: Pets need a clean, comfortable environment with enough room to move around and rest. About: I’ve always loved animals and grown up surrounded by them, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had my own Pomeranian since I was 10, and I regularly help look after my mum’s Rottweiler. I also have experience walking and caring for dogs of different sizes and temperaments, including terriers, miniature poodles, and German Shepherds, as well as looking after pets for other owners while they’ve been away. I’m confident with both small and large dogs, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I love spending time with dogs and making sure they have all the attention they need. I currently work part time, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to spend with your dogs. Most of the time I’m able to work around your schedule and offer reliable, consistent care, whether that’s walks, check-ins, or overnight stays in your home. I always look after dogs in their own home, so they can stay in a place they know and feel comfortable in. I’m calm and confident with all kinds of dogs, including those who are a bit nervous, excitable, or need a bit more patience and understanding. I’m also happy following any routines you already have in place, whether that’s feeding, walking, grooming, or just keeping things consistent for them. After visits or walks, I like to send a quick update with a photo so you can see how your dog is doing and what they’ve been up to. If something ever seems a bit off, I’ll always let you know. For overnight stays, I’m happy to adjust how often I update you - some people like lots of updates, others prefer to relax knowing everything is taken care of, and I’m happy either way.
About: I have owned animals since I was a child from guinea pigs to cats to dogs. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat and a rabbit. My dog is a husky so I am used to getting out walking daily. I am available all day for drop ins and walks. I own a husky who is very kind and gentle, she gets along with other dogs but can be left at home if it is an issue. I love long walks as well as short ones and plenty of play time. I have a very big secure back garden which is great for the dogs running around or relaxing in. I have a very small for her age husky who gets along with other dogs with no issues.
About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. During my work experience, i have learnt how to analyse basic animal behaviour well and have learnt how to follow a schedule of feeding times, medicine that need to be administered and how to meet the needs of both dogs and cats. I’ve helped with grooming and bathing at the kennels and i am patient at all times, giving space to animals when they need it. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. No matter the house im caring for your pet in, i will stick to a schedule and your rules however you prefer. I will make sure your pet is entertained and cared for well and will return home happy!
“Helen was absolutely amazing. She took such great care of our cat and also sent regular updates and photos which put us at ease. I can highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again! ”

About: Since moving from rural Scotland to Lancashire, I’ve been able to open my doors to friends and family’s pets on countless occasions, where I have always given them the royal treatment. I have experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments, from quiet Collies to lively terriers. I have also done the hard yards with puppies, too, so that’s never an issue. I’ve had pets all my live and know how special your companions really are! I have a large garden to the front and back, conservatory and secure perimeter for your dog to enjoy my home safely. We both work full-time during the week but both working in education we are currently free until September - we walk every day so it would be nice to have a fur friend We are both very calm natured and would ensure that your dog is comfortable before taking them on a walk. We would always walk the dog on a lead as that is what we feel most comfortable with until we can build up trust with the dog - and the dog with us!
“Our dog loves Matthew. They bonded straight away. He met all our dog’s needs and provided me and my husband with peace of mind that he was being well cared for. We would recommend Matthew to anyone. Thank you Matthew!”

About: Having always been around Dogs, Cats and Aquatics, I have a long history of pet care. Additionally, I have experience with pets with complex medical needs, along with pets of all ages - from over-eager babies to over-opinionated elders. Every circumstance is different, so I try my best to curate my services and tailor them to your needs specifically. I have also had the joy of working with many different breeds and mixes over the years, including all sizes. I currently House and Pet sit full-time. I am open to short or long-term bookings, and am happy to travel if needed, even outside of the distance marked on Rover. Safety is my first priority, and I'd much prefer to be safe than sorry. Any approved off-lead walking is off the table until not only I trust the dog, but the dog trusts me. If I'm not confident in a dogs socialising, or their reactiveness, I will keep to quieter walks or presence in the home. Equally, I will not force a pet to interact with me, a stranger; I'll encourage cuddles, play and routine to maintain a sense of stability for your pets, but please don't worry at the idea of me getting offended if they stick their noses up at me - I'm not their human! Any relationship takes time, and I hope to build trust and respect not only between humans, but between any animals and I as well. I endeavour to be as respectful to your home as possible, while being as practical as possible.

Proud Mum (Helen) was terrific. She's a lovely, caring person. The dogs were very settled when I returned and had obviously been well loved whilst I was away. The house was immaculate. I can fully recommend Helen and would not hesitate to book her again in the future.

Ellie jumped in last minute to have our Lab during a business trip in the area. Communication was clear, got lovely photos and video and even better was that she was able to pick up and drop off. Mishka got some much needed play time with her dogs and all was wonderful. Highly recommend!
