About: Hi, I’m Gemma, I really love spending time with dogs and cats and have experience in both owning one and taking care of them for others. I don’t currently own a dog or a cat. I'm friendly, caring and reliable. I am happy to take your pets for walks on all weather. I’m currently working from home freelance so I'm flexible on availability for drop ins and walks. I am currently working freelance from home so will have plenty of flexible time and availability to play with and care for your pets. I’m always flexible in the mornings and afternoons . Availability in the evenings and on weekends may vary but if a regular time slot is needed so am more than happy to work around and commit to that I have a fenced garden and plant of space for crates or large toys or anything you may need to help me take excellent care of your beloved pets and ensure they can settle in quickly. The outside space is suitable for cats and dogs and equally if they need to be kept indoors that is more than easy to accommodate. I’ll take your lead and advice on what works best for them. I live in a semi rural area with gorgeous surroundings along the canal so plenty of opportunities for lovely walks,in a very dog friendly area. Equally there are plenty of areas to walk if being near water doesn’t work for them.

About: I’m a 23 year old Veterinary Medicine student in her 4th year of Vet school. I take pride in making sure animals are healthy and happy whilst in my care. Alongside this I’ve studied an animal management BTEC course and got a grade of D*D*D*. I have a wide range of work experience alongside animals including doggy day cares, catteries, farm settings and pet shops and I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals. :) My weekly routine usually consists of having to go to university, hence why my availability is a bit staggered. Weekends are fully free for me usually (other than pet sitting!). But when I’m on university holiday or study break I’m available to fit within your schedule! I build towards your schedule where I’ll try and mimic your usual routine to ensure your pets feel as comfortable as possible in their own home. About: I am a cat person at heart but love all animals! I have completed a Cat and dog behaviour certification. I can provide daytime, evening and night animal care and complete additional house duties, such as post collection or plant watering. I will Feed, walk and entertain pets, such as dogs, cats and rabbits and am able to administer medication and ointments per pet owner instructions. I currently work full time at home, I go for a walk every morning and on my lunch, I have times during the day where a visit or a walk would be fit perfectly. Safety and trust is super important to me, I carry my own poo bags, have spare towls and leads, treats and water always on hand in the car. I am happy to provide updates through my visit or walk and happy to complete any other request which will put your mind at ease that your baby is in safe hands.

About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. During my work experience, i have learnt how to analyse basic animal behaviour well and have learnt how to follow a schedule of feeding times, medicine that need to be administered and how to meet the needs of both dogs and cats. I’ve helped with grooming and bathing at the kennels and i am patient at all times, giving space to animals when they need it. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. No matter the house im caring for your pet in, i will stick to a schedule and your rules however you prefer. I will make sure your pet is entertained and cared for well and will return home happy!

About: Having always been around Dogs, Cats and Aquatics, I have a long history of pet care. Additionally, I have experience with pets with complex medical needs, along with pets of all ages - from over-eager babies to over-opinionated elders. Every circumstance is different, so I try my best to curate my services and tailor them to your needs specifically. I have also had the joy of working with many different breeds and mixes over the years, including all sizes. I currently House and Pet sit full-time. I am open to short or long-term bookings, and am happy to travel if needed, even outside of the distance marked on Rover. Safety is my first priority, and I'd much prefer to be safe than sorry. Any approved off-lead walking is off the table until not only I trust the dog, but the dog trusts me. If I'm not confident in a dogs socialising, or their reactiveness, I will keep to quieter walks or presence in the home. Equally, I will not force a pet to interact with me, a stranger; I'll encourage cuddles, play and routine to maintain a sense of stability for your pets, but please don't worry at the idea of me getting offended if they stick their noses up at me - I'm not their human! Any relationship takes time, and I hope to build trust and respect not only between humans, but between any animals and I as well. I endeavour to be as respectful to your home as possible, while being as practical as possible.

About: A lot of my background is in health care, from the elderly, to young children. But helping people feel relaxed when leaving there pets makes me happy 😃 to make new furry friends and to help paw-rents feel comfortable when leaving family, as we know it can be a very stressful time. About: I've owned and cared for dogs, cats and horses from a young age, from large breeds such as German Shepherds to small breeds like Toy Poodles. I have experience with puppies, senior, nervous and reactive dogs, including raising two litters of puppies. About: I have had cats since I was little, adopting them from friends, the RSPCA or relatives. I have also owned rabbits, and dogs, in the past as an adult. My dog experience includes an excitable Border Collie, a happy-go-lucky mixed breed and a fun-loving German Shepherd. I do miss dog walks and dog cuddles, but currently one of my adopted senior cats isn't keen on dogs so I am currently a dog free house! I have looked after pets since I was about 5 or 6 so have nearly 50 years experience with animals.I work from home so if you have wifi and need a sitter in your home, I can be in most of the day with your pet. I love walking dogs on or off lead and I am happy to go with the personality of your pet, whether that's a cat that likes their own space, or a dog who wants cuddles and long outdoor walks. As for my cats, they have my Mum to look after them when I am away, so I can do overnight or longer stays. I work in education, have a car, flexibility on dates/times and I will look after your pet as if they are my own, sending lots of photos and updates. I work Monday-Friday in term-time, and work from home, with occasional meetings outside my home, depending on schedule. I usually get up, feed my cats, have breakfast, start work at 8 and if I'm in a Teams meeting online, try to keep my cats from coming into shot or stepping all over my keyboard! Sometimes I might need to do an external visit or meeting, but if so then I am back home within 1-2hrs. At tea time the cats get fed again. At the weekends my cats have to wait a little longer for breakfast if I have a lie-in. At home I have a fenced-in garden, a cat flap and litter trays. I also have a small park 5 mins walk away where I used to walk my dogs, and a larger one 10 mins drive away. I live in a very quiet cul de sac.

About: I absolutely adore animals, growing up surrounded by both dogs and cats. I currently own 3 cats with my partner, and had my beautiful golden retriever Talar with me for 14 years until she very sadly passed. I like to spend my spare time horse riding, and have frequently cared for pets for friends whilst away on holiday. As a genuine animal lover with over 10 years of pet care experience, I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where your pet can feel comfortable, settled, and well cared for while you are away. I understand that every pet is different, with their own personality, routines, and individual needs. I currently work full time as a customer service manager but I’m looking into transitioning my career into an animal care focused sector. I can offer full time care most weekends and evening care after 5PM. I will also have some full day weekday availability at periods. I always look after dogs in their own home, so they can stay in a place they know and feel comfortable in. I’m calm and confident with all kinds of dogs, including those who are a bit nervous, excitable, or need a bit more patience and understanding. I’m also happy following any routines you already have in place, whether that’s feeding, walking, grooming, or just keeping things consistent for them. After visits or walks, I like to send a quick update with a photo so you can see how your dog is doing and what they’ve been up to. If something ever seems a bit off, I’ll always let you know. For overnight stays, I’m happy to adjust how often I update you - some people like lots of updates, others prefer to relax knowing everything is taken care of, and I’m happy either way.

About: I have owned animals since I was a child from guinea pigs to cats to dogs. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat and a rabbit. My dog is a husky so I am used to getting out walking daily. I am available all day for drop ins and walks. I own a husky who is very kind and gentle, she gets along with other dogs but can be left at home if it is an issue. I love long walks as well as short ones and plenty of play time. I have a very big secure back garden which is great for the dogs running around or relaxing in. I have a very small for her age husky who gets along with other dogs with no issues.
