“Lilly was able to help super last minute. She was very caring and spent time getting our cat comfortable with her. I really appreciate the photos and messages as we had just lost our other cat so we were feeling very anxious. Lilly made us feel more comfortable leaving for a few days. ”

“Fay was absolutely fantastic with Albert! She came to meet us before and completely understood Albert's needs. I would recommend Fay to anyone who is looking for dog care she deserves 5 stars!”

About: Hi, I’m Lewis from Southport. I provide calm, reliable one-to-one dog walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits with a strong focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for in their usual routine. I have over five years of experience caring for dogs and pets, along with a Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care. I am DBS checked, fully insured and pet first aid trained. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different ages, personalities and energy levels, including younger dogs who enjoy more exercise and older dogs who may prefer slower, calmer walks. I understand that every dog has their own routine and individual needs, so I always aim to provide patient, personalised care and make sure each dog feels relaxed, safe and happy during walks and visits. I particularly enjoy providing solo walks and calm one-to-one care rather than large group walks, as this allows me to build trust with each dog and give them my full attention. I take pride in being dependable, friendly and professional, and I always try to keep owners updated with messages and photos for extra peace of mind. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, slower paced strolls or simply having company and care while you’re away, I’ll always do my best to make sure they feel happy, settled and comfortable. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine. I provide reliable one-to-one dog walking, pet sitting and home visits across Southport, with a focus on keeping pets comfortable in their normal routine. I aim to be flexible where possible and understand that every pet has different needs, energy levels and routines. Whether a dog enjoys longer walks and exercise or prefers slower paced walks and companionship, I always try to provide calm, patient and personalised care. Your pet’s safety, comfort and wellbeing are always my priority. I provide calm, one-to-one care and take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality and needs. I am DBS checked, insured and pet first aid trained, and I always aim to create a safe, relaxed and positive environment during walks and visits. For pet sitting and drop-in visits, I care for pets within their own home environment where they are most comfortable and familiar with their surroundings. I understand how important routine and reassurance can be, especially for pets who may feel anxious when their owners are away. I also offer a free meet and greet before bookings so both owners and pets can feel comfortable, ask questions and make sure the service is the right fit for their needs.

“Florence was amazing with our cat Derek! Derek immediately took to Florence, and Florence took really good care of him. We were sent updates and pictures which helped put our mind at ease while we were away. Derek clearly enjoyed all the fuss and attention! We will definitely book again.”

“Rebecca has looked after Kit and Ginger for us a few times now and has done a perfect job each time, which is not easy as we have a nervous boy who also needs meds! We had a great communication experience each time and really enjoyed the updates via photos etc. She was also incredibly flexible and accommodating when we had to reschedule and also extend care due to delays in our travels. We would definitely book her again!”

“Izzy was the perfect person to care for Nina, she came beforehand to meet her. I received regular updates and photos which was reassuring and give me full confidence she was well looked after.”

“Anna was brilliant! I was worried about leaving my cat at first as I had never left her alone before but was made up with Anna’s drop in visits. I felt so much more relaxed when seeing the pictures and videos of kitty without me. Anna spoilt my cat with play time and treats just the way I would’ve, will definitely use rover again and wouldn’t even think about putting her into a cattery”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for many years and I am happy to follow very specific instructions to care for your pet. I also enjoy long dog walks and would be happy to take your pet out for long periods of time. I am currently at university and only work part time so definitely have plenty of free time to fit in pet care and dog walks. “Beth gets on well with people and dogs. She is prompt and always sends pics of walks and time spent. Penny loves her and I feel confident leaving my little family member 🙂 and key with Beth. I know she looks after penny and respects my home and I would highly recommend her.”
About: I have lifelong experience caring for animals, particularly cats! I had my own cat, Smudge for 22 years so I’m very familiar with feeding, litter care, recognising changes in their behaviour and noticing when they need a little extra TLC. I have looked after my neighbour’s senior cat when she has been on holiday, ensuring she is fed and has fresh water daily and also providing her with lots of attention and love. She now greets me outside my house every time she hears my car pull up, so I think I definitely have a friend for life! I also volunteer at a local cat sanctuary, which has given me experience caring for a range of cats with different temperaments and needs as the majority of them come from neglectful backgrounds. In addition, I’ve previously dog walked on a voluntary basis so I’m very comfortable handling dogs on walks and following owner’s instructions. I’m reliable, responsible and very attentive to animals’ needs. I aim to make pets feel safe whilst their owners are away. Pet care fits into my routine quite easily as I have flexible availability and have been used to planning my day around animal care for many years. I’m reliable with feeding times, check ins and I always make sure pets receive what they need during each visit. I aim to always follow owner’s instructions carefully and prioritise routine and consistency, as I know how much of an effect this can have on animals. In the owner’s home, I can handle feeding, water, litter care and companionship based on their pet’s needs. I take a calm and caring approach and always try to ensure pets are safe, relaxed and happy!

I respect how each person takes care of their pets and have different rules/routines and follow these to ensure pets and owners stay happy. About: I’m 23 years old and currently living at home, where I’m lucky to be surrounded by family—and my adorable dog, Max my 13-year-old Shih Tzu is the calm, gentle presence in the house. He’s has such a sweet, wise nature. Growing up with max has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and finding joy in the little things. Whether we’re out on a walk, playing, or relaxing at home, spending time with them keeps life grounded and fulfilling. It’s a simple rhythm, but one that’s full of love, connection, and meaning. Services I offer: ✨ Overnight Stays: Keeping your dog safe and happy in the comfort of their own home while you’re away. ✨ Day Visits: Drop-in visits for feeding, playtime, cuddles, and toilet breaks. ✨Dog walks: Tailored walk to suit your dogs energy and needs ✨Dog boarding: A home from home experience with plenty of care, play and cuddles. (Dog would need to get on with other dogs) Available for short notice bookings, weekends, and holidays. 🐶 I’m currently working as a trainee accountant, gaining hands-on experience while studying toward my qualifications. Within this role I split my time between the office and home, working remotely two days a week. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I don’t use crate training—instead, they’re free to roam around the house and make themselves comfortable. I also have a safe, fenced back garden where they can enjoy fresh air, playtime, and exercise under supervision. Whether in my home or a pet owner’s home, I make sure their routine is kept as close to normal as possible—meals, walks, playtime, and cuddles—so they feel secure, happy, and loved while you’re away.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Southport
I rebooked Laura for the second time for our recent holiday for our two cats. Laura is great with them and works with you beforehand to ensure she understands everything she needs to for their care. One of my cats is quite skittish and very cautious of other people, but as part of the daily updates Laura sends it was clear they were comfortable being around her and she gave time and energy to each cat as they needed. My other cat loved the daily laps cuddles he got! Would definitely recommend Laura.
Cheryl is extremely professional and a huge help when last minute I had to go away and one of my cats took ill before I left. She did all his medication and checked in on him regularly. It was a great relief. Even after the booking she messaged to check up on him.
