About: What sets me apart is that animals have always been a big part of my life. I have had pets since I was born, so I have grown up learning how to care for them, understand their personalities, and build strong bonds with them. I have had the privilege of watching my pets grow from young animals into their senior years, adapting their care as their needs changed. I have experience with training and teaching pets tricks through patience, encouragement, and positive interactions, as well as providing extra care, comfort, and attention as they get older. I understand that every pet is unique and deserves to feel safe, loved, and cared for like they are part of the family. Pet care is something that already plays a big part in my daily life, as I come from an animal-loving home and have experience caring for both cats and dogs. I am currently unemployed and looking for work, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that’s going for walks, playing games, giving lots of fuss and attention, or simply keeping them company. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away, and I will always treat them as if they were my own. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping to their usual routine as much as possible. Whether I am caring for them in my own home or in their owner’s home, I make sure they have fresh water, meals on schedule, plenty of exercise, playtime, and lots of attention. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn about their individual needs, personality, and any special requirements they may have. I am happy to provide regular walks, play sessions, cuddles, and companionship, as well as keeping owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. My goal is always to make pets feel happy and relaxed while giving owners confidence that their beloved pets are being well looked after.
“Corrina took excellent care of my 3 kitties whilst I was away for a week. She sent me lots of photos, and messages to reassure me. Corrina also hoovered for me to keep on top of the shedding. I came back to three happy, content and well cared for kittens and a spotless house. Would definitely recommend her and will be using her again without a doubt.”

“I always know our little Pippin is happy and well cared for, when Justine is looking after him. She sends daily photo's of their cuddles and playtime and updates of feeds. We are very grateful to have peace of mind while we go away and would highly recommend her as a sitter. Thank you Justine. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! 😊”

About: Had dogs in my family my whole life, trained puppies and cared for older dogs at the end of their life. Regularly take care of friends pets in their home and my own. I currently work from home so have time in the day to give lots of snuggles and go for walks! Available mid-week and weekends depending on my schedule. I have a secure garden for all of the playing. No children or visiting children in the home. Pets won’t ever be left alone. Regular toilet breaks can be accommodated
“Rebecca has looked after Kit and Ginger for us a few times now and has done a perfect job each time, which is not easy as we have a nervous boy who also needs meds! We had a great communication experience each time and really enjoyed the updates via photos etc. She was also incredibly flexible and accommodating when we had to reschedule and also extend care due to delays in our travels. We would definitely book her again!”

“Nicole was amazing! She took such great care of my cats and kept me updated every day with messages and photos. It was so reassuring knowing they were in good hands. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: With 20 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, l've developed a deep understanding of animals and their unique personalities. l've provided everything from daily walks and playtime to administering medication and training. I also have experience caring for senior pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved. What I enjoy most about pet sitting is building a bond with each pet, getting to know their individual quirks, and making sure they feel safe and happy. I'm dedicated to providing reliable, attentive, and compassionate care for every furry friend I meet. I have flexible availability, which means I can adapt to your pet's routine and needs. Whether it's weekdays or weekends, I have plenty of time to give your pet the care and attention they deserve. I understand the importance of tailoring care to your preferences. I create a safe, comfortable environment for every pet, ensuring they feel secure and loved. I follow your instructions closely, whether it's about feeding, playtime, or any special requirements, so your pet always feels at home.

About: I am a caring person that loves to give as much as attention to a dog as possible. I have been around so many in life and therefore have the confidence to approach any on the street for a stroke or cuddle. I am organised and like to stick to routines for myself or pets I look after. I am definitely an outdoors person but also can relax inside with a lovely cat when I am feeling in the mood for that on a rainy day or for an indoor cat to be loved. I have worked in a lot of customer service roles and therefore have the ability to deliver great experiences for any owner I connect with I have recently completed an Animal and Behaviour psychology course via Alison courses and learn't about various topics - communication, social structure within the animal kingdom, cognitive processes including memory, learning and problem solving for domesticated animals too. I am happy to evidence my certificate and course transcript for any owner and I am keen to do anything else which improves my skills and knowledge about animals in the future too. ** Please note - I am also fully registered on DBS on update service too". Any questions, just drop me a message Mike 😊 I am a general volunteer for a community theatre group (In another place) and a self-advocate for People first Merseyside so a lot of my voluntary work is split between those organisations that are very important to me in the week. I generally help In another place on Saturdays in the castle where games and shows happen until 3pm so my day is busy from 10am-3pm on most Saturdays. I can work my hours around my voluntary work or hikes during each day of the week unless there is something that is extremely important not to miss out during my advocacy work at People first. Church for me is attended on 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month as it's part of the open table network and therefore allows for Sunday pet sitting opportunities too I have a secure locking system on my door and a indoor camera which is good for looking at what's going on indoors as well as outdoors in the estate I live in. There is a beautiful canal nearby me and rimrose valley which has plenty of space for dogs to run about in. I like to keep my home as quiet as possible and don't like disturbances much from neighbours either so dogs or cats can relax easily when I am watching TV a low volume or reading a book in the evening in bed. I have very high standards and like to keep my flat as clean as possible through an organised system of tasks to complete each week. I don't have a lot of clutter around me and tend to keep floors as spacious as possible for me or animals too.

“Jemma is amazing! She took such great care of our cat and even brought him treats without us asking. We had lots of great videos from her of a very happy cat. I highly recommend Jemma she won’t let you down!”

About: I have been an animal lover all my life and have many years of personal experience caring for both dogs and cats. As someone who has used Rover for my own pets, I understand how important it is to find somebody you can genuinely trust with a much-loved member of your family. I recently lost my beloved dog, Aspen, to congestive heart failure shortly before her 12th birthday. Aspen and my other dog, Jetson, had been together since they were puppies. I am not ready to welcome another dog of my own just yet, but I would love to open my home to other pets, giving them a safe, comfortable and loving home from home while also providing some gentle companionship for Jetson, who misses Aspen greatly. Jetson is almost 12 years old, and I also have a 15-year-old cat who is comfortable around dogs. Because of my experience with older pets and Aspen’s heart condition, I understand the importance of patience, close observation, established routines and giving medication exactly as instructed. I am particularly comfortable caring for senior pets and providing the calm, reassuring environment they may need. I work from home, so your pet will have plenty of company, attention and regular access to our fully enclosed garden throughout the day. I only accept pets from one family at a time and will never board or care for another client’s pets during your booking. This means your pet will receive my full attention without unfamiliar visiting animals coming and going. Pets staying with me will be treated as part of the family and given plenty of affection, reassurance and companionship. In my home, pets are welcome to relax on the sofas and sleep on the beds if that is what they are accustomed to. However, I will always follow your household rules so that your pet’s routine remains consistent. Please let me know about any boundaries, habits or special requirements. I will carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, toilet breaks and sleeping arrangements. Every animal has their own personality, so I am happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to ensure that your pet is comfortable with me, Jetson and my cat. I will also send regular photographs and updates so you can relax knowing that your pet is safe, settled and receiving lots of love. As well as home boarding, I am available for house sitting, drop-in visits and dog walking. Whether your pet is playful and energetic, older and in need of a gentler pace, or simply happiest with cuddles and company, I will care for them as lovingly and responsibly as I would my own. I work from home, so I am available throughout the day to provide plenty of company, attention, toilet breaks and supervised time in the garden. Walks, meals, medication and bedtime will be arranged around your pet’s normal routine wherever possible. I am also available for house sitting, drop-in visits and dog walks, subject to availability. My home has a fully enclosed garden, and visiting pets are treated as part of the family. I only accept pets from one family at a time, so I will not care for another client’s animals during your booking. Your pet will share the home only with my gentle senior dog, Jetson, and my dog-friendly senior cat, Tillie. I will follow all instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, sleeping arrangements and household rules. Pets are welcome on our sofas and beds, but I will maintain your own rules if you prefer them not to use furniture. When caring for a pet in their own home, I will treat both the animal and the property with care and respect. I will keep doors and gates secure, follow the agreed routine and send regular photographs and updates for your reassurance.

About: I've had cats and dogs since I was just 1. I have always grown up and loved them unconditionally all my life. I treat every animal like family and as the friend that they are. Every animal has their own personality and I'd love to get to know your dog/cat better also 😊 I work full-time 3 days a week, on a 3 on 3 off basis. So I am available for bookings on my 3 days off work or at extra times throughout the year when I am on leave. Just enquire with a booking to see if I'm available 😊 I have a fur baby and cats of my own, that all love meeting new people. Which will give your little family member someone to have fun with if they board with me. If I am sitting in your own home, I have plenty of experience of caring for dogs and cats, as I've had them since a very young age continuously throughout my life. I treat every animal I meet as family and will give them all the best care and love that I can possibly offer.
About: I’m looking for dog owners around Crosby who would like regular walks for their dogs health and wellbeing. Happy to do off-lead walking with recall-trained dogs after checking their obedience with a new walker, but also have experience with dogs who need to stay on lead for more sniffy walks. I am studying Environmental Management with the Open University so fitting in dog walking alongside studying part-time. I try to walk or cycle to most of my clients and am based near Crosby Village. If I sound like a good fit for you, please get in touch! 🚴🏼♀️ 🦮 🐾 I’m currently studying part-time with the Open University so generally quite flexible. I am trying to keep my dog walking schedule to two to three days per week! Happy to drop-in to your home to care for your pet and will make every effort to follow the care routine your dog is used to (e.g. feeding / walking schedule, when they can be treated etc.). Happy to follow your lead as the owner (no pun intended!)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
