“I left my 2 ( very spoilt) shihtzus with Joanne for 5 days/nights. Joanne sent lots of messages/ photos and little updates and assured me that my boys were fine and happy, the photos proved this. They were a bit unsettled and Joanne actually slept on the sofa with them. This lady is so kind, accommodating, caring and has empathy. She went above and beyond helping my boys settle and happy, and reassuring me they were happy loved and cared for, a true dog lover and such a lovely lady. Thank you Joanne for all you done, for me and my boys they loved their holiday with you and of course the chicken. I have no hesitation in recommending Joanne for looking after your furbabies, she truly is a patient caring wonderful dog loving lady xx🤗 🐶 🐶”

About: In the last 10 years I've regularly looked after several dogs owned by family members. This ranges from cockapoos to German shepherds of various ages. I live within walking distance to Crosby beach with my fiance and our lazy cat Lei. I work from home 2 days a week with weekends free. On days when I'm working in the office, I'm back home by 17:30. My partner runs a restaurant in town which opens in the afternoons, so is free most mornings. We have a walled patio garden at the back of the house and are within a 5 minute walk to Crosby beach which is perfect for dog walking.
“Saoirse was fantastic at looking after Milo for us. We received regular updates and photos, and he seemed like he had the best time staying with her. She took such good care of him and we can tell he was shown so much love and attention. I think he was a little sad his own holiday was over when we picked him up 🥲 Milo became very fond of Saoirse and we will be booking again for our next trip very soon and all future trips. 100% recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I am a caring person that loves to give as much as attention to a dog as possible. I have been around so many in life and therefore have the confidence to approach any on the street for a stroke or cuddle. I am organised and like to stick to routines for myself or pets I look after. I am definitely an outdoors person but also can relax inside with a lovely cat when I am feeling in the mood for that on a rainy day or for an indoor cat to be loved. I have worked in a lot of customer service roles and therefore have the ability to deliver great experiences for any owner I connect with Any questions, just drop me a message Mike 😊 I am a general volunteer for a community theatre group (In another place) and a self-advocate for People first Merseyside so a lot of my voluntary work is split between those organisations that are very important to me in the week. I generally help In another place on Saturdays in the castle where games and shows happen until 3pm so my day is busy from 10am-3pm on most Saturdays. I can work my hours around my voluntary work or hikes during each day of the week unless there is something that is extremely important not to miss out during my advocacy work at People first. Church for me is attended on 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month as it's part of the open table network and therefore allows for Sunday pet sitting opportunities too I have a secure locking system on my door and a indoor camera which is good for looking at what's going on indoors as well as outdoors in the estate I live in. There is a beautiful canal nearby me and rimrose valley which has plenty of space for dogs to run about in. I like to keep my home as quiet as possible and don't like disturbances much from neighbours either so dogs or cats can relax easily when I am watching TV a low volume or reading a book in the evening in bed. I have very high standards and like to keep my flat as clean as possible through an organised system of tasks to complete each week. I don't have a lot of clutter around me and tend to keep floors as spacious as possible for me or animals too.

About: Get to know me: Hey! I’m Trish, I’m 22 years old and I’ve recently just qualified as a Nurse. Caring for others has always been at the heart of who I am, and completing my degree in Nursing has taught me responsibility, attention to detail and how to stay calm and dependable in situations that may be stressful – all qualities that naturally roll over into how I care for pets. I’m compassionate, reliable, and organised – someone you can trust to show up consistently for you and your fur baby. I offer a calm, safe and structured environment, and I treat your pets like their part of my own family. I enjoy staying active, being outdoors and making sure that every dog in my care is happy, safe and loved. Pet care experience: As a lifelong animal lover, caring for pets isn’t just something I do – it’s something I truly enjoy. I appreciate that our pets are family, and I treat every dog in my care with the same patience, attentiveness and affection that I would want for my own. Although I’m a new member of the Rover community, I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life, so providing loving and reliable care has always come naturally to me. I’m highly attentive to behavior, energy levels, and comfort, and I adapt care to each dog’s needs while following owner instructions closely. I have a dog of my own and have also regularly cared for dogs of friends and family while they have been away on holiday, giving me experience with in-home boarding, longer stays and maintaining consistency through familiar routines. In 2019, as part of my year 10 studies, I completed work experience at a local veterinary practice, which gave me invaluable insight into animal wellbeing, handling and the importance of staying calm and gentle in various situations. This experience strengthened my confidence around dogs of all temperaments and ages, and reinforced how much I enjoy caring for animals. From energetic puppies to senior dogs, I am confident adapting to each dog’s unique personality and routine. Services and what you can expect: I take pride in providing a low stress, attentive, dependable care in a calm and nurturing environment where your dog’s wellbeing and safety always comes first. Whether your dog is staying with me, joining me for the day or venturing out on sniff approved walks, you can expect structured care tailored to their needs. With every service, for your peace of mind, I provide regular photo updates and message updates so you can feel at ease with how comfortable and content your dog is at all times. 🏠Boarding – A home away from home A calm, secure home away from home experience where your dog can enjoy a structured daily routine that is tailored to their needs, quality sniff approved walks and enrichment, plenty of affection, and a safe environment. 🐶Doggy Day Care – Fun, safe and tailored days Structured and supervised care designed around your dog’s energy levels, personality and care needs. From drop off to pick up, you can expect plenty of play and enrichment, regular walks and toilet breaks, calm rest periods and personalised attention throughout the day. 🐾Dog walking – Purposeful and sniff approved Reliable, attentive walks at your dog’s pace focusing on their happiness and wellbeing. From being picked up from your home to being dropped off, your dog will be taken on a walk that is suited to their ability and energy levels, safe handling and can benefit from reinforcement of basic training cues if required. As I’m currently not working as a Nurse, I work a part time job with my contract days being Saturday and Sunday, which means that I’m available to provide loving care and stimulating walks for your pets. My flexible weekday schedule allows me to accommodate doggy day care, weekday boardings and dog walking services, ensuring your pets get the attention, exercise and companionship they need whilst you’re away from home. Whether it’s a stimulating walk (both short and long), an all day visit or a longer boarding stay, I want to work with you to establish a routine that keeps your pet happy and comfortable. To ensure your pet feels secure and confident, consistency and safety are my main priorities. During the week, I am able to dedicate my time to play, train and bond - giving your pet plenty of affection and mental stimulation. My goal is to make weekday care seamless for both you and your pet, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they are in safe, caring, gentle and attentive hands. As my apartment is in a secure building with a shared garden area just outside, your pet will have plenty of space to play, explore and get the exercise they need. For longer walks and adventures, I’m just a short 5 minute drive away from Birkenhead Park and within close proximity to local beaches, the Wirral Coast Path, and other dog friendly parks. Keeping your pet safe and happy are my top priorities - when your dog is in my care, they will always be supervised during walks and playtime to ensure they feel comfortable and secure in new environments. I will also follow any specific instructions you provide so you can feel confident your furry friend is in caring, responsible hands.

“Justine was absolutely amazing with popping in and seeing to my two cats while I was away. She kept me updated with how they were doing with photos as well. Felt really nice and easy to set up. Thank you so much ❤️”

About: I absolutely adore cats having had them in my family for over 40 years. I have vast experience of looking after multiple cats (at one time we had 5!). I know how much a cat means to people, they are part of a family and so I understand you would only want the best for your family member whilst you are away. I understand that every cat is different and I take the time to understand each cat’s personality. I appreciate that some cats love the attention while others prefer to have their own space. I tailor my approach to each cat but always ensuring they know they are safe and cared for. I am currently cat mum to 3 beautiful furry felines with very different personalities including an agoraphobic cat.

“Jenna was very accomodating and flexible to suit my needs. She is very friendly and passionate about animals and I felt at ease having her look after my special girl. Jenna brought Dolly out of her shell and seems to be a cat whisperer! Jenna also kept me updated with photos and videos which I appreciated a lot. I will be using Jenna to mind Dolly whenever I need her looking after. I highly reccommend. Thanks Jenna :)”

About: I feel that cats are the funniest animals to be around as they're so energetic, random and look after themselves well. I used to mind two of them when I lived with a friend between 2019-2021 as she needed to go to work and enjoy social time with friends, so I welcomed the opportunity to be around Star and raven. They would chase each other round this 3 bed apartment for hours but one of them would make me feel so appreciated by sleeping on the end of my bed every night too. My mum has had her cat over 5 years and because of this I have seen how gentle a cat can become in old age or sleepy which is really cute. I have loved a lap cat and enjoyed the peaceful side of them when they're lying next to me in front of a TV programme.
About: I’m looking for dog owners around Crosby who would like regular walks for their dogs health and wellbeing. Happy to do off-lead walking with recall-trained dogs after checking their obedience with a new walker, but also have experience with dogs who need to stay on lead for more sniffy walks. I am studying Environmental Management with the Open University so fitting in dog walking alongside studying part-time. I try to walk or cycle to most of my clients and am based near Crosby Village. If I sound like a good fit for you, please get in touch! 🚴🏼♀️ 🦮 🐾 I’m currently studying part-time with the Open University so generally quite flexible. I am trying to keep my dog walking schedule to two to three days per week! Happy to drop-in to your home to care for your pet and will make every effort to follow the care routine your dog is used to (e.g. feeding / walking schedule, when they can be treated etc.). Happy to follow your lead as the owner (no pun intended!)

About: I have years of cat care experience, both personally and from working in animal rescues. Prior to starting my veterinary degree, I volunteered for 2 years at Freshfields animal rescue, and was involved in feeding, cleaning and generally spending time with the cats and kittens there. Since then, I have spent many months working with cats and their owners in veterinary settings, and so I understand that many cats require a gentle and calm approach. I have experience administering medicine in food, as well as via injections.

“Absolutely incredible!! Will 100% be using again! Took the time to come and meet us and Willow beforehand. Was happy to send photos and updates on how Willow has been, Willow really seems to be comfortable with Halle as well! Thank you so much for checking in on our baby whilst we were gone!”

“We very recently adopted a puppy while already having two cats. Kelly-Marie paid a drop-in visit to us while my partner and I were attending a wedding. We received lots of updates in the form of pictures and videos and we can tell everyone was well taken care of! Also, our cat Kit, who is an anxious boy and tends to keep himself hidden away from unfamiliar people, even made an appearance so that was great to see!”

“Laura is such an amazing sweetheart. She never let any day without an update, photos and videos. She took care of my cats , played with them, fed them on time. Also my boys loved her. I highly recommend her xx”

“We left Woody at home with my parents and arranged for India to walk him twice a day for 5 days. They report that she was very punctual, really lovely and Woody seemed happy in her company. She also provided treats and poo bags. India sent us photos of Woody out on his walks with her, which provided us with reassurance as we had not had a dog walker before. Overall it was a positive experience and we would definitely use India again if we needed this service in the future. Thanks so much India.”

I treat every animal I meet as family and will give them all the best care and love that I can possibly offer.

“My dogs love it at Karen's. One of them is a bit nervous so I worry about leaving her but she has been fine on both occasions. Will be booking again in future. Karen updates me at different points while I'm away which gives me the reassurance they are both happy.”

“Arnold stayed with Tiffany & Matt for two weeks and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We received regular updates and they let Arnold treat their home as his own. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!! Can’t thank them both enough!”

“Lauren looked after Bertie for us again perfectly. Bertie can be a nervous dog but settled in right away . Lauren kept us updated with lots of updates and pictures of Bertie loving his time with them . Taking away all the little worries you have leaving your beloved pet when your away . Thankyou so much , we have Bertie booked in again for our next trip , he loves his little holidays too .”

“I cannot thank Gugu and Steve enough. I was really nervous at first as I’ve only ever had my dogs looked after by family, however Gugu did a meet and greet with the dogs prior to boarding and put me at ease straight away, and seeing my dogs getting along with hers straight away I knew my boys would be in safe hands. Admittedly, I am a bit of a worrier when it comes to the dogs, however I was provided with frequent updates and photos which not only put me at ease, but genuinely put a massive smile on my face. The dogs were loved, cuddled, and didn’t look like they missed me at all! I’m sure I’m not the only one, but having two dogs, especially bulldogs in the family, has at times proven difficult in terms of putting restrictions on what you can and can’t do as there’s always the question of “what about the dogs”… the level of care Gugu and Steve provide goes further than looking after my two little rascals, but gives the whole family the opportunity to do more things and take more trips together, and do those things without worry. I really cannot recommend them enough and cannot thank them enough! They are SUPERB!!”

“Absolutely amazing! Was really good with my cats and sent photos too! Unfortunately there was an emergency with one of my cats that was unrelated to the booking which meant I had to collect early, but they were super informative and let me know about it immediately!”
“Excellent, highly recommended. Charlene helped us out at short notice and even changed the booking earlier when our plans changed again. The boys had so much fun, she sent regular updates and we knew they were well cared for. She was very sad to see them go, it’s obvious how much she loves dogs, would highly recommend her services”

About: Hi, we’re a dog loving couple with a lifetime of experience caring for animals. I grew up with dogs, and my fiancé Bobby grew up on a farm surrounded by horses, cats, and dogs, so we’re very comfortable with pets of all kinds. We regularly look after my family dog Max, an energetic Staffy, as well as my brother’s fluffy Pomeranian, Chappy. This has given us hands-on experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities. We provide a safe, loving home where your dog will get plenty of attention, exercise, and care. We look forward to welcoming your pet into our home and treating them like part of the family.” We both work full-time during the week, so we mainly offer weekend availability. As I’m a teacher, I also have school holidays and half terms off, meaning I’m available for longer stays and full weeks throughout the year. We’ll always make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. They’ll never be left alone during their stay, and we only take one booking at a time unless otherwise agreed with owners. As we’re very active, plenty of walks, playtime, and exercise will never be a problem.
“Bailey has stayed overnight a couple of times with Linda & James. He can be a handful but he has been welcomed into their home and made us feel relaxed leaving him. Lovely home. So happy to have found them. Thank You Linda & James.”

“We honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They have been absolutely brilliant with our dog, and it’s so clear how much they genuinely adore her. Every time she stays with them, she has the best time, and we always feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such loving, capable hands. It means the world to us to have someone we trust so fully with our precious girl, and we’re so grateful for the care, attention, and love they give her. Truly exceptional dog sitters!”

“Lok Him was absolutely fantastic with Jaffa and I would not even have to think about boarding her with him again. He will be the first port of call from now on. Jaffa seamed to return to us enjoying walks more than previously. She was herself and in great health. Thank You So much. Received regular updates, photos and communication. I felt I totally can trust Lok him with my precious dog.”

“Terry's staycation with Kayleigh was superb! She took great care of him, including tending to his pug care needs. Also sent us updates during the week, so we knew he was happy and getting on well.”

About: Recent experience puppy training with the Kennel Club to top up my skills. Relied upon by friends and family to care for their pets so they can have worry-free holidays. I’m currently working from home, so I’ll have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet’s needs. They’ll have love, care and enrichment throughout the day. If they have a routine at home, I will endeavour to follow the same schedule to enhance their feelings of safety and stability. I will share updates throughout their stay to reassure their owners. “Really happy with kyon's services, Simba loved his stay with kyon while we were away and we were sent loads of pictures of Simba during his stay. Thanks kyon and we'd definitely use kyon again to mind simba”

“We couldn't be happier with the care Luke and his family provided for Bailey and Benji! The boys absolutely loved their time with them — it was clear from the moment we dropped them off that they were in wonderful hands. We received regular updates throughout their stay, which gave us such peace of mind. The photos and videos of their walks were a highlight — it was lovely to see them so happy and well looked after. Luke and his family are just the loveliest people, and it really shows in the way they care for the dogs. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a warm, attentive, and reliable family to look after their fur babies. We'll definitely be booking again!”
