“Lovely family home who welcomed Chase in as one of their own, Chase is a very anxious dog and has only ever stayed with my mum previously, outside the family home, but Evgeniy built up his trust with him and Chase was much more relaxed by the time I came to pick him up. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with the family again”

“Kayleigh was very welcoming, super friendly and very attentive to Diggy’s needs. Also I was contacted and updated throughout Diggy’s stay, along with photographs and a video. Diggy was made to feel like is was home from home. Would definitely recommend anyone, who like me is very sceptical about leaving their fur babies to stay with Kayleigh ☺️”

About: I have always had dogs all through my life, but due to living alone I can’t keep one for now this is why I took up dog walking as I absolutely adore pets especially dogs. I love to walk and be outdoors with them, teaching them new tricks and loving them like they are my own. I have 5 years of dog walking/pet sitting experience, I have a pet first aid certificate and I am insured I am currently full times dog walking, so any time during the day to the evening I am available. I also provide day care 9-5pm. I will feed them if they need it and they have regular snacks during the day if agreed with owner. Also the will be offered water
“Bernie has enjoyed both his last daycare days with Violeta and she is very accommodating as both times we had to book last minute due to a change in work commitments. Bernie will definitely be returning 🐶”

“Tillie and Poppie had their first visit with Kelly Marie which went really well. They are 6 years and 4 months old so a new place for Poppie being a pup! First we went for a meet and greet, Kelly Marie’s, warmth made us feel like the girls would be safe and sound and be loved like they are at home. Their play date went really well and Kelly Marie’s children were so good with the girls as well. Our older dog is on heart meds, so they were given too. Will be booking more sessions in soon. I was really happy with the love and care they had.”

“So friendly and what a lovely place for my dog to stay too!!! I was reassured from our first meet that Finnley would be taken care of & seeing him so happy when I picked him up, I was so overjoyed. I'll definitely be using your services again in the very near future! x”

About: We absolutely love dogs and love their company. We recently lost our 13 year old cocker spaniel Lottie and are a little lost without her running round our feet. We often look after our families doggies and take them out over the fields in Lydiate for a good run. We have a lot of experience with small and medium dogs, we are patient and kind and love spending time on the couch with the pups. I work for myself at home and I’m never out for more than a couple of hours at most. I love going out on walks in any weather. I am lucky enough to have a large garden that is fenced in and spend most of the day with the doors open so dogs can have a wander a frequently as they need.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
