Lovely family home who welcomed Chase in as one of their own, Chase is a very anxious dog and has only ever stayed with my mum previously, outside the family home, but Evgeniy built up his trust with him and Chase was much more relaxed by the time I came to pick him up. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with the family again

Tillie and Poppie had their first visit with Kelly Marie which went really well. They are 6 years and 4 months old so a new place for Poppie being a pup! First we went for a meet and greet, Kelly Marie’s, warmth made us feel like the girls would be safe and sound and be loved like they are at home. Their play date went really well and Kelly Marie’s children were so good with the girls as well. Our older dog is on heart meds, so they were given too. Will be booking more sessions in soon. I was really happy with the love and care they had.

About: I have always had dogs all through my life, but due to living alone I can’t keep one for now this is why I took up dog walking as I absolutely adore pets especially dogs. I love to walk and be outdoors with them, teaching them new tricks and loving them like they are my own. I have 5 years of dog walking/pet sitting experience, I have a pet first aid certificate and I am insured I am currently full times dog walking, so any time during the day to the evening I am available. I also provide day care 9-5pm. I will feed them if they need it and they have regular snacks during the day if agreed with owner. Also the will be offered water

Charlene is incredibly positive and extremely attentive. Many sitters on the platform seem to treat dogs like furniture, but Charlene truly sees animals as individuals with their own personalities. We are here on holiday, and if I ever come back to this city, I wouldn’t trust my Orbit with anyone else. With Charlene I feel absolutely confident that my dog is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I am a reliable and caring professional dog sitter who has been taking care of dogs for over 5 years. With my love for animals and extensive experience in dog sitting, I have become a trusted caregiver for many pet owners in my community. Known for my patience, attention to detail, and ability to create a safe and comfortable environment for the dogs I care for. I am well-versed in dog behaviour and know how to handle different breeds and temperaments. My goal is to provide the best possible care for every dog I look after, ensuring that they receive the attention, exercise, and affection they need. I am semi-retired so I'm at home most of the day. My clients appreciate my flexibility, reliability, and willingness to go above and beyond to meet their pet's needs. I have a fenced back garden but I also take the dogs out twice daily for longer walks in the park as well as frequent visits to Hall Road and Crosby Beach.

About: Recent experience puppy training with the Kennel Club to top up my skills. Relied upon by friends and family to care for their pets so they can have worry-free holidays. I’m currently working from home, so I’ll have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet’s needs. They’ll have love, care and enrichment throughout the day. If they have a routine at home, I will endeavour to follow the same schedule to enhance their feelings of safety and stability. I will share updates throughout their stay to reassure their owners. I have a large, fenced-in garden that is perfect for exploring. Both the home and garden are pet-proof and checked regularly for hazards. Pets will sleep downstairs in their own, secure space. I will maintain their schedule, command words and normal life as much as possible to encourage a seamless, stress-free experience.

About: I’ve had cats my whole life and I currently have 3!! I’ve also pet sat for both cats and dogs since I was 11 for my local neighbours and family friends. When I was a child I used to walk my neighbours dogs for free because I just enjoyed spending time with animals. I’ve now been using Rover for over 2 years and I love it so much. Looking after animals is just the best job ever and so much less stressful than swimming teaching which is my other part time job. I feel so happy and fulfilled being able to do something I love so much as my job. My boyfriend also uses rover so sometimes we help each other out or join each other on the other ones pet sitting stay as we enjoy being able to spend time together with animals there as well! Sometimes when I go to visit him and he has drop in visits I go along to, because I just wanna go and pet the animals too. I’m currently studying international relations at the uni of Liverpool. It's a low contact hours course so I have lots of free time. I am in a shared student house with 4 other people. We are a house of animal lovers and my house mates are very eager for me to have dogs come and board with me, so they can get some cuddles in themselves. Since moving away from my home in London, I desperately miss my cats, so looking after other animals helps to make me feel much better. Animals have always brought lots of joy to my life and I don't know what I would do if I wasn't able to spend time with them. I like getting out a lot so I enjoy travelling to other peoples homes. I like having lots of structure in my day to day life and looking after animals definitely helps to provide that. I live in university halls which are often very loud and the kitchen is sometimes left very dirty by other people, so I really love house sitting as its like mini holiday away from everyone, where I can get some peace and quiet! I am also a swim teacher however my shifts are never longer than 3 hours so it's very easy to fit my pet care around it. Because I’ve grown up with animals I’m very comfortable with creating boundaries with them and an aggressive animals does not scare me as one of my cats has always been very spicy and grumpy. I’m also used to reading my cats body languages very carefully as they can often just suddenly turn when they decide they have had enough of the petting. All 3 of my cats at home are rescues so I’ve learnt to adapt to their needs. They all have unique and individual personalities that require different things.

Now in Liverpool, I share my home with my dogs Bruno and Bolt, and I dedicate myself to making every pet feel happy, safe, and loved while their owners enjoy complete peace of mind. My weekends are a bit busier, but I’m always happy to arrange pet sitting in advance, ensuring every visit is relaxed, safe, and full of care. Your pets are my priority, and I make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you have complete peace of mind. your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Sefton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Sefton on Rover is £27.6 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 2,208 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Sefton. About 86% of Sefton sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Sefton commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
