“When we met Casimiro, we immediately felt comfortable, and Maggie did too. Today, when I left her with him, I felt completely at ease being separated from her. Casimiro kept me updated with photos the whole time and regularly let me know how the little one was doing. I’m very happy to have met him. Highly recommended and 100% trustworthy. Maggie can’t wait to go back to him.”

About: I have grown up surrounded by animals and have always had a real love and connection with them. Throughout my life I have cared for family pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, buggies and rabbits. I had two of my own cats who I cared for throughout their lives, both reaching the wonderful age of 21. I have also helped care for my mum’s Labrador and regularly look after my cousin’s Jack Russell and cat when they are away. I genuinely love being around animals and take great pride in making sure they are happy, comfortable, safe and well cared for. I’m patient, caring and attentive, and I treat every animal as an individual, taking the time to understand their personality, routine and needs. For me, looking after animals isn’t just a job — it’s something I truly enjoy. Seeing a happy, relaxed animal is what makes me happiest, and I would always give your pet the same care and attention I would give my own. I have 30 years of experience caring for animals through having my own pets and looking after family and friends' animals. I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your pets. I’m available throughout the week, and I can work around your pet’s usual routine. I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits and plenty of company and attention. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my priority. I will follow your instructions carefully and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable and settled. I’ll take the time to understand their individual routine, personality and needs, and will treat them with the same love and care I would give my own pets.
“couldn’t ask for better people to look after Bruno. Kept me updated throughout and sent plenty of pictures. Came on a day trip to Liverpool to see family looks like Bruno got to see more Liverpool than me 😅. Would highly recommend.”

“Martyna and her gorgeous dogs took really good care of Finn. She sent me regular updates. Her love of dogs is very obvious. I would definitely recommend and use again in the future. Thank you ☺️”

“Joanne is the best ❤️ Just amazing with my dog, so helpful and accommodating when I once again book super last minute and I know Mabel always has the best time with her. I trust Joanne 100% 🥰”

“Wren really enjoyed his time with Hannah. Hannah took really good care of him and was not phased by the various quirks Wren has. Hannah’s communication was great. Wren is looking forward to spending time with Hannah again soon.”

About: Hi there, I am Amélie and I am a university student currently completing an MA in creative writing. I cannot imagine a life without animals, and it would be a pleasure to provide the best care and service to your pet. I have had dogs my entire life, with about 10-12 years of intentional, considered pet care. I have experience working with rescue dogs and dogs with moderate behavioural issues, and pets with anxiety issues. As well as this, I have considerable hands-on experience working with senior dogs, including administering medication, incontinence and end of life care. I am an active individual willing and able to provide all types of walks for any age and size dogs. If your pet is more chill, I am also very happy to provide a more relaxed experience, or anywhere in between. Every pet is different and I will do my best to find the middle ground for them. I have a very flexible schedule right now. I am at university doing my Master's part time so am able to fit time in for your pets 7 days a week. Your pet is your baby - it is my role to treat them as such. All care provided will be at your discretion and in complete accordance of what has been set out. Your pet will always have a safe and loving environment with me. Walking routes can be customised to adapt to your dogs needs, including parks, quieter routes, breaks - whatever they need. I live in a pet-friendly and secure building; and there are no children or other animals in my home. So if a home visit is required, their needs will be met. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is not something many take lightly. I am happy to take this as slow as you would like to build up a relationship and establish what is right.
“We felt very comfortable leaving our Koda with Ben and they hit it off instantly! He was very communicative and you could tell was knowledgeable about dogs and their behaviour. Will definitely use Ben in the future and would recommend him to anyone. Koda says thank you too - woof! 🐶 🙂”

“Tom and Lizz are brilliant! They’re my regular minders and Mabel loves being with them. They take a great deal of care with her and are very generous and flexible too. Thanks as ever :-)”

“Thank you Jack for taking care of Phoenix so well! I really appreciated the updates during the day and Phoenix was so lovely and calm when I picked him up. I'd recommend you to anyone!”

“What can I say?! Kirsty treated our dog Ted like he was her own (literally) Ted is a young Staff, who has anxiety when it comes to walking by main roads, especially with busy traffic. So when we booked a family holiday abroad I was incredibly worried about leaving him, especially considering the fact that he'd never spent any time away from us! I'd trawled through Rover, but when speaking to other people I just didn't get a good feel. Then I found Kirsty, who from the start was excellent with communication. After a few conversations I felt at ease, so we booked Ted in for a day prior to going away to test the waters and he instantly took to Kirsty which was a huge relief. Whilst we were away Kirsty updated me daily with pictures and videos and Ted looked right at home. What really blew us away was that Kirsty took it upon herself to take Ted to the park by where we live (which isn't close to her) to ensure Ted got a good walk and was comfortable due to his anxiety. She didn't have to do this, but it just goes to show the care and consideration she had for him. I would 100% recommend Kirsty and we will be definitely using her again very soon.”
“Very happy with the service we got. Our little doggy has some special requirements and Dave was flexible to fit around what we asked for and make helpful suggestions. Happy to recommend.”

“Pablo always enjoys his stay at Sofia’s, he’s so well cared for and exercised. Loves playing with Stanley and the other resident dogs. Sofia is a top doggy host; accommodating, friendly and a true dog person!”

“We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience this week. Clyde is still only 5 months old and very much a lively, sensitive puppy, so leaving him isn’t something we take lightly. From the start, we felt completely reassured. He was so well cared for, kept active with lovely walks, and clearly given lots of patience and understanding. We really appreciated the updates and knowing he was safe, stimulated and being looked after properly. It made such a difference to our peace of mind. Clyde came home happy (and tired!), which says everything. We’re so grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you for taking such good care of our boy.”

Saoirse was a gem ! Bailey was happy and content and had lots of cuddle's and walks. Whilst having him during the whole day while I went shopping and dinning on my visit to Liverpool.. Saoirse and her partner are great animal lovers and it shows. I will definitely hope to have them look after my Bailey again !! 😃

A totally positive experience ! From initial 'meet and greet' to the 'day of care', Jasmin showed an enthusiasm and keenness to provide the best for Indy. He clearly had a great day - superman pose on the bed showing how comfortable and relaxed he was in Jasmin's care; he even snagged himself a new toy he became attached to and was allowed to keep. Friendly, great communication, I fully recommend Jasmin for any city-centre daycare.

Ellis took great care of our small senior dog! Leo was very comfortable and happy around her. Ellis was also flexible with her time and helped us out when another sitter cancelled unexpectedly. Her central location was also convenient for us as we were visiting from out of town. We’ll book in with Ellis when we come back to Liverpool!

Excellent care. In Liverpool for a show and was nervous to leave Bailey in a new city for a few hours during the show. Sylwia and boyfriend are so genuine and caring that upon meeting them I had the feeling that they had only the best intentions to make Bailey feel assured and loved. Updates were frequent and communication before and after was quick. She relaxed quickly and returned a happy pup. Recommended and would definitely contact them again when near Liverpool.

Lucy and Josh were amazing sitters, they really made Arlo feel so welcome and comfortable in their home. Arlo can be really anxious but this was no problem for Lucy and Josh and they were more than happy to help. I was sent lots of lovely photos and updates of their day together. It was a hot day and they made sure to keep him safe and comfy. I will definitely be booking in again and would recommend to others! Thanks guys ! :) x

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
