“When we met Casimiro, we immediately felt comfortable, and Maggie did too. Today, when I left her with him, I felt completely at ease being separated from her. Casimiro kept me updated with photos the whole time and regularly let me know how the little one was doing. I’m very happy to have met him. Highly recommended and 100% trustworthy. Maggie can’t wait to go back to him.”

“I left Chloe with Priya and could not have been happier! Plenty of photos and contact throughout the day so I knew Chloe was fine and when I picked her up, she seemed disappointed to be leaving! Perfect service! Thank you”

About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life and absolutely love being around them. For the past three years, I've regularly dog-sat for friends and family, caring for dogs for anything from an afternoon to several weeks at a time. I live in a pet-free city centre flat with access to green space within the grounds, and we're right next door to a park and gardens where I take dogs for regular walks and exercise. I'm confident with all aspects of dog care, including feeding, walking, administering routine medications, and providing plenty of love, attention, and companionship. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet and will always care for your dog as if they were my own. I work four days a week and have Wednesdays and weekends off, which allows me plenty of time to spend with the dogs in my care. Walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention are all built into my day. My long term partner (Josh), who I live with, also shares responsibility for caring for any dogs staying with us. He works from home full time, meaning dogs are never left alone during the day and always have company, supervision, and access to toilet breaks, walks, and plenty of fuss. Together, we provide a safe, caring, and consistent environment where dogs can feel relaxed and at home. We live in a secure two bedroom flat. We currently have no pets of our own, so any dogs staying with us receive our full attention and care. Dogs are welcome throughout the flat and can relax on sofas and move freely between rooms, helping them feel comfortable and at home. When out for walks or toilet breaks, I always ensure dogs are kept on the lead for safety. The grounds around our building include green space and are away from the main road, providing a safe and calm environment for exercise and outdoor time. My priority is always to provide a secure, relaxed, and trustworthy space where dogs are well cared for at all times.
About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember, looking after family members dogs when I was young and growing up to be that person at a party playing with the dogs 😅 6 years ago I finally got myself my first ever Furbaby, Halle. Halle loves other dogs just as me so I can’t wait for us to play and look after others ❤️ I currently work from home full time Monday - Friday and I am free most weekends! My job is flexible making this perfect for me. I have my own dog Halle and I regularly look after my mums dog, Arthur. They are both loving and playful dogs who will be over the moon to have another dog help fill our day! I have a large fenced garden, with lots of grass creating lots of space for your four legged friend to zoomie round the garden! I have mine and my mums dog, Halle and Arthur (both Cockapoo’s) to help keep your dog company too! Our house is spacious and full of love and company to ensure your dog has a great time!

“We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience this week. Clyde is still only 5 months old and very much a lively, sensitive puppy, so leaving him isn’t something we take lightly. From the start, we felt completely reassured. He was so well cared for, kept active with lovely walks, and clearly given lots of patience and understanding. We really appreciated the updates and knowing he was safe, stimulated and being looked after properly. It made such a difference to our peace of mind. Clyde came home happy (and tired!), which says everything. We’re so grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you for taking such good care of our boy.”

“Lottie had another great day with Eabha and her partner. I received photos throughout the day and little messages to let me know how she’s getting on and I can tell she is being well looked after, especially by the photos where she’s cuddling up with them, she seems very relaxed and happy.”

“Chloe is awesome! She is a great communicator and wants to understand your dog and it’s quirks from the start. Our dog Koda settled in right away and it was lovely to see her having fun on the photos sent! Will definitely be using Chloe again 👍🏼”

About: I have a deep love for animals and have been caring for my own pets for many years. I currently live with my cat Legoshi, who has been part of my family since my partner and I got together—he’s smart, curious, and a little mischievous! Taking care of him has given me hands-on experience with feeding, cleaning, grooming, and understanding animal behavior. I’m patient, attentive, and always treat pets like family. I specialize in dog walking and drop-in visits, and I’m confident handling pets of different sizes and temperaments. I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m available every day of the week, from 6 AM to 7 PM. I’m happy to provide dog walking or drop-in visits during these hours. To make sure I can give your pet the best care and attention, I kindly ask that bookings be confirmed at least 2 days in advance. I look forward to meeting your furry friend! When visiting a pet in their own home, I always make sure the environment is safe, clean, and stress-free. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully when it comes to feeding, walking, or any special needs. I always double-check doors, gates, and leashes to make sure your pet is secure at all times. I treat every pet with patience, love, and respect—just like family. I believe trust is built through consistency, clear communication, and gentle care. You can count on me to keep your pet safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: I’ve had cats my whole life and I currently have 3!! I’ve also pet sat for both cats and dogs since I was 11 for my local neighbours and family friends. When I was a child I used to walk my neighbours dogs for free because I just enjoyed spending time with animals. I’ve now been using Rover for a year and I love it so much. Looking after animals is just the best job ever and so much less stressful than swimming teaching which is my other part time job. I feel so happy and fulfilled being able to do something I love so much as my job. My boyfriend also uses rover so sometimes we help each other out or join each other on the other ones pet sitting stay as we enjoy being able to spend time together with animals there as well! Sometimes when I go to visit him and he has drop in visits I go along to, because I just wanna go and pet the animals too. I’m currently studying international relations at the uni of Liverpool. It's a low contact hours course so I have lots of free time. I am in a shared student house with 4 other people. We are a house of animal lovers and my house mates are very eager for me to have dogs come and board with me, so they can get some cuddles in themselves. Since moving away from my home in London, I desperately miss my cats, so looking after other animals helps to make me feel much better. Animals have always brought lots of joy to my life and I don't know what I would do if I wasn't able to spend time with them. I like getting out a lot so I enjoy travelling to other peoples homes. I like having lots of structure in my day to day life and looking after animals definitely helps to provide that. I live in university halls which are often very loud and the kitchen is sometimes left very dirty by other people, so I really love house sitting as its like mini holiday away from everyone, where I can get some peace and quiet! I am also a swim teacher however my shifts are never longer than 3 hours so it's very easy to fit my pet care around it. Because I’ve grown up with animals I’m very comfortable with creating boundaries with them and an aggressive animals does not scare me as one of my cats has always been very spicy and grumpy. I’m also used to reading my cats body languages very carefully as they can often just suddenly turn when they decide they have had enough of the petting. All 3 of my cats at home are rescues so I’ve learnt to adapt to their needs. They all have unique and individual personalities that require different things.
“Tracey has been great with Yubyub. Every time I have drop her off Yubyub gets very excited and is super happy when I pick her up. Tracey send plenty of photos and provides plenty information. I definitely recommend her!”

About: Happy to meet before any services so you can decide if I’m the right fit for you❤️ 25 year old southerner in Liverpool who has a passion for animal welfare and care🐶🐱. I’ve been around animals my whole life and understand more than anyone how important they are and how quickly they become an integral part of a family unit! As a uni student missing the comfort of home and missing my very own cockalier Milo you’d ideally be doing me as much of a service as I for you! It is because of this that my rates are significantly lower than other walkers may charge. I also have experience in caring for puppies/ kittens as well as senior cats and dogs 💕 As a student, I’m on campus part time during the week.. leaving me at home every other day with buckets of free time! If you have a particular date/ time where you need some extra help please drop me a message and we can definitely work something out! While I do not have a large garden at home, I do live 20 minutes away from Sefton Park and go there as part of my daily routine anyways. I also currently have no other pets on the property and will only look after multiple if pre arranged with their owner/s. If your baby is shy or prefers to be in a house with no other animals that’s absolutely fine and we can accommodate for that☺️

Last Reviewed 2025… My Winston is a regular visitor, he is always excited when we get to Leanne’s gate he stops and wags his tail. The minute the door opens my Win is straight inside, no invite necessary 😂. He’s always happy to see Leanne, her family and the other dogs. Even when I pick him up he’s never to sure if he’s ready to leave just yet… I always have peace of mind he’s well looked after and content. The photo updates are great, it’s always lovely to see my Winston with his other doggy friends. My Winston turned 2 in May and Leanne and her family went out of their way to celebrate, my Win was certainly made a fuss of with birthday treats and presents… such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Thank you for all your care and attentiveness… 10 STARS from me and Winston’s. We certainly would recommend.

Megan was an amazing sitter for Arlo! Great communication and easy to talk to, helped me out at short notice and looked after Arlo really well! Arlo can be really anxious and Megan made him feel so comfortable in her home, I recieved nice updates and photos of their evening together which was really nice to see. Would absolutely book in with Megan again, she was fantastic :)

Charlotte was a fantastic sitter, great communication, helped me out really last minute and took amazing care of Arlo! I was updated and sent photos of Arlo’s day and could see he was well looked after and all his needs were met, nice and tired when I picked him up. Will definitely book in again with Charlotte and would definitely recommend! X

As always, we always receive the highest level of care from Heather, she really goes above and beyond to make sure that Arlo has the best day with her and all his needs are met whilst also maximising his comfort. Always happy to help us out and there is no one in the city my dog would rather spend his day with! :)

Booked in with Tara a few times now and every time Arlo has received a great level of care. Tara makes sure that all his needs are met, that he’s exercised, happy and comfortable. Always happy to help out and great communication. Always receive nice updates. We will definitely be back :)

Hate the thought of leaving my pup with anyone, but had to this time.. Anna was so good with him, gave updates, photos, took him for a walk. Expected my pup to of been a nightmare but was the opposite and he seemed to of loved the time away from me 😅. He was there about 8 hours, had his dinner there, he came home and slept. Would deffo use again and will be doing.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
