“Molly was a wonderful sitter for our old girl Maisie. She was so patient and attentive and sent us lots of gorgeous pictures and updates. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again. Thank you Molly!”

“Opie had a great stay! From the start, everything felt really professional—they provided a form to fill out and arranged a meet and greet beforehand, which gave me a lot of confidence. During his day and overnight stay, I was kept regularly updated on how Opie was doing and what he was getting up to, which I really appreciated. It made me feel relaxed knowing he was in good hands. Overall, a very positive experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommend!”

“My dog loved staying with Rachael and her dog Hallie for 8 days. He was very well looked after and Rachael kept in touch sending me photos and messages. I would definitely recommend Rachel.”

“Thank you so much Kate for looking after Alvin when we were let down at the last minute. Kate sent regular updates and pictures throughout Alvin's stay and we could tell how comfortable and happy he looked (which put us at ease while we were away). Alvin loved spending time with Ulla, the pup, and got comfy in the pub (his favourite place!). Thank you so much Kate. We would definitely book again x”

“Benji came home very happy and tired after his weekend with Kieran and Otis. Kieran was very communicative both during the booking process and throughout the weekend sending updates and photos of Benji settling in and on his walks. An excellent pet sitter we will definitely ask again.”
“Ted had a fabulous stay with Elizabeth. He settled as soon as he arrived as she had suggested a meet and greet visit so he felt familiar with the house. She was highly knowledgeable and professional, and kept us updated about how he was doing when we were away. He'd love to stay again ❤️”

“Jhenelle and her family took such good care of Poppy, I was genuinely worried that Poppy wouldn't want to come home! The communication from Jhenelle was excellent from before we met and throughout the time we were away. We had regular updates and were reassured that Poppy was having a great time. From the moment Poppy arrived at Jhenelle's home she was a very relaxed and happy dog. I look forward to booking Poppy in again in the knowledge that she will be so well looked after by Jhenelle and her family.”

“Ellis was great with my pup Luna, she kept me updated daily with pictures and videos, she’s a lovely person and I felt like my Luna was in great hands while I was away! Would definitely recommend:)”

About: I’ve had small dogs my whole life and currently share my home with Lilly, my Yorkie terrier. Because of this, I only walk or board small dogs, so they get calm, focused, and loving care in a safe home environment. I understand the needs of small breeds, from gentle walks and patience to lots of reassurance and cuddles. Your dog will be treated like part of the family, with plenty of attention, routine, and care 🐾 At the moment I am very flexible with dates and times as I am currently looking for a job. Please message me an I am happy to discuss. I live in a two-bedroom flat in a calm, safe area with lots of green space nearby. For safety, dogs are always kept on a lead outside, which makes it a perfect setup for relaxed, controlled walks. At home, pets are cared for in a clean, calm, and loving environment and treated as part of the family. I always follow owners’ instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and make sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after at all times.

About: I know trusting someone to care for your pet can feel stressful. But I'll make your dog feel safe, happy and very loved. I've taken care of dogs for nearly 10 years. I've looked after a range of breeds and ages - from a puppy cockerspaniel through to a big and energetic Golden Doodle - and understand every dog is different. I'll get to know your pet's personality, what they like and their routines so staying with me feels like a home away from home. I am self-employed and work from home, so I'll always be around to give cuddles and lots of attention. Sefton Park, Princes Park and Otterspool Promenade are all a ten minute walk form my house. So, there are plenty of lovely green space for us to go and explore together! I am self-employed and work from home, which means I can adapt to your pet's routine and have plenty of time for cuddles and play. I have a walled yard - perfect for dogs who like to chill in the outdoors. I have a three bedroom house, so there's plenty of room for your pet to wander around indoors. Dog are allowed upstairs.
About: I have had many dogs in my family. I know there is nothing like the unconditional love of a pet. I am always the designated pet carer for my friends and family. I am used to really high energy dogs and I am capable of meeting their needs. I love exercising with them. I will take care of your fur babies as if they were mine. I’m available to pet sit on weekends from morning to night, so I can give your pets plenty of attention, exercise and company throughout the day. I’ll make sure they get four walks a day: a long, enriching walk in the morning, a short walk in the afternoon, another long walk in the evening, and a short walk before bedtime. This gives them plenty of opportunities to exercise, sniff, explore, socialise and take regular potty breaks. Alongside walks, I’m happy to provide training, playtime, cuddles and plenty of attention throughout the day. I also have plenty of experience with bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning and teeth brushing, so I can help keep your pets happy, comfortable and well cared for. I live in a big house with my partner. I have a garden and a few parks just a few minutes away from home. I am very active and will make sure your pet gets enough enrichment outside of the house so that they can rest and relax at home. I would love to welcome your fur baby in our home.
“Maria & Philip took care of our 2 huskies and they just couldn’t have done a better job. Our dogs are very excitable and quite active and they have done everything to accommodate for their needs and took such a good care of them with regular updates I just couldn’t be more grateful. If they can deal with sassy and stubborn husky I’m sure they can take care of any dog I would 100% recommend and use them again :) thank you so much again”

“I cannot thank you enough for taking such wonderful care of our dog while we were away! You treated him like family, and it gave us total peace of mind during our holiday. You are incredibly kind, caring, and professional. We will definitely bring him back next time. Highly recommended to anyone who wants the absolute best for their pet!"”
“Martyna was sending us regular updates, photos, and videos, I could see that Onyx had plenty of walks provided, a lot of play with balls and other dogs. At the end Onyx wasn't sure if she wants to go back home with us 😂”

I couldn't or asked for a better person to look after my black Labrador. Charlotte has a natural heart and soul; my dog is normally bad with social anxiety, but he smiled and they skipped away. Together. 😍🥰 In turn, this put my mind at ease slot, I had an operation short notice at the hospital, not only did Charlotte take bobbi for me with only a couple of days notice; she ensures to send you regular photos throughout the day with all the updates and the laughs and giggles they have together. Reasonable prices too, I'd highly recommend her and she's a kind hearted genuine person, who pets gravitate to, you can't ask for more! P.S The photos and updates made me smile ever so much, so it really does settle you for you to then enjoy your holiday or an overnight work stay etc.

Dobby had a great time with Heather. She has a very calm presence which seemed to help Dobby warm to her quickly. She was very attentive to the care instructions which is always super important with this breed. She was also very try accommodating to last minutes changes we made to the booking. Would recommend :)

Chico loved his time with jasmine, he was there for ten days and was well looked after. I recieved pictures and regular updates about Chico. I felt really comfortable leaving Chico in jasmines care, I’ve never left him before so I was slightly worried about how he would react especially with him being an old dog! Jasmine messaged me when she had concerns over Chico which made me feel more comfortable as I know that she was looking after him and making him comfortable as possible why I was away. I would highly recommend jasmine and will be using her service again in the future. Thank you again for looking after Chico.

Biscuit had the most amazing stay with Carys! Would hundred percent recommend to anyone to leave their pet with Carys. I felt confident from the initial meet and my expectations were far exceeded. Communication and updates throughout the stay were fab - some excellent videos and photos throughout ! He did some amazing days out !!! I will most definitely use again ! Thanks Carys !

Our boys had a lovely stay with Georgi and Mike! They are very experienced, the boys had multiple walks a day, and they were kept safe at home when it was over 30° for the entire day. The house was perfectly set up for them with many places to choose their spot (Nigel chose the windowsill and Gordon found a snug den in the corner). We got so many pupdates which really helped us relax on our mini break. Would definitely book again, thanks Georgi!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
