“Cary’s was very helpful and communication was prompt with regular updates. Looked after Snoop for three days and returned settled and happy. Would recommend and happy to use again.”

“Ellis was great with my pup Luna, she kept me updated daily with pictures and videos, she’s a lovely person and I felt like my Luna was in great hands while I was away! Would definitely recommend:)”

About: I am a big animal lover and will soon have a big house with loads of pets, I have spent most of my life with all kinds of animals and know that as long as you give them all the love it the world they will be your best friend, I have been doing this for quite a while now and feel confident that I offer a warm and loving holiday home for the animals I look after, if you want to book me and your pet (or baby as some owners like to call them) has any specific requirements I'm more than happy to accommodate so don't hesitate to ask, I am always happy to answer any questions and always will do a meet and greet so you can feel comfortable. I currently WFH full time meaning your pets are barely alone, expect for going to the shops I do my best to not make any big plans when I know I'll be looking after someone's dog as I take the care of animals very seriously, if you have any questions drop me a message I have an ok sized garden for the dogs to use and they will have free range of as well as access to wonderful parks and beaches and enclosed land for regular excerise, I also make sure to offer meet and greets so we can go over any requirements, unless i have looked after the dog multiple times I don't offer off leash time except in enclosed tennis courts near my house as a precaution , your dog might have great recall with you, but for the first few days unfortunately I'm a stranger to them
“Jay was absolutely wonderful. This was the first time our 7 month old Labradoodle had been left. Jay let us come and meet her a week before the stay and I instantly felt at ease with her. Jay sent us photos and videos of Minnie during the stay and I know she was so well cared for. I would highly recommend Jay, I can’t thank her enough and I hope she will be our regular sitter.”

“Maria & Philip took care of our 2 huskies and they just couldn’t have done a better job. Our dogs are very excitable and quite active and they have done everything to accommodate for their needs and took such a good care of them with regular updates I just couldn’t be more grateful. If they can deal with sassy and stubborn husky I’m sure they can take care of any dog I would 100% recommend and use them again :) thank you so much again”

“We honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They have been absolutely brilliant with our dog, and it’s so clear how much they genuinely adore her. Every time she stays with them, she has the best time, and we always feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such loving, capable hands. It means the world to us to have someone we trust so fully with our precious girl, and we’re so grateful for the care, attention, and love they give her. Truly exceptional dog sitters!”
“Lauren was fantasic with Tilly. Kept us updated with messages, pictures and a video, she looked so settled quickly, which was great to see as this was the first time leaving her in doggy care, we were a little nervous but didn't need to have been as she was so well looked after. If we are in need anytime again when we are visiting Liverpool, we wouldn't hesitate booking Tilly in again or recommend Lauren to others 😀 🐾”

About: Hiya! We are Kiku and Chris, a passionate and experienced pet-sitting couple who truly love caring for animals. Jasmin provided an excellent service looking after our dog Penny for 5 days. She was very flexible about pick up and drop off times. Jasmin is friendly and kept us updated everyday with photos of Penny's adventures. She has her own dog basket full of toys and provided some of her own treats. Jasmin even paid money to take Penny to an enclosed field for an off lead run. This is going above and beyond in my eyes. Thank you Jasmin we will definitely be back next year 😊

Jay was absolutely first class. We live in London but were visiting family and friends on the Wirral. We needed our nearly 1 year old cockapoo looking after for the night while we went on a ferry party. Jay let us & Gracie meet her at her house for introductions the day before. She was very friendly and caring and really put us at ease knowing Gracie would be in safe hands. Gracie was very happy to return to Jay the next day and, in fact, pulled to get into the house! Jay kept us immediately updated with video and photos of Gracie on a walk and playing. I think Jay understood and alleviated my anxiety. I would not hesitate to recommend Jay and would definitely use her again next time we're on the Wirral.

Best experience ever for Charlie and us. Charlie got back to us super happy, calm and well treated - I even thought he wouldn't want to come back to us 😅. Casi went above and beyond our expectations! We received regular updates, pics and overall information to keep us at ease. 10 stars if I could give them! Thank you so much ❤️

I’ve never left Nebo with anyone before and had to this time as my friend, who I was staying with, has a cat and I wasn’t sure Nebo would cope with that. Plus we were travelling by train, which my border collie is happy with but once again I wasn’t sure whether Nebo would cope with. Nebo had a lovely time with Trisha and her dog Juliet, I felt really comfortable about his staying there, she gave us updates and photos whilst he was there which I really appreciated as it was the first time I’d left him and I felt a little guilty about doing that, so four days was a good test. Trisha, her partner, and Juliet (dog) were lovely and I’d feel much more comfortable if I had to leave him again, a great experience all round. Thank you Trisha, partner and of course Juliet.

Matthew was superb with Daisy from beginning to end,I was so nervous about leaving her as was worried she be fretting for us but from the minute we took her my mind was put at ease, she absolutely loved her stay,we were kept up to date with texts and photos of her on her walks and having treats, you could she was getting spoilt rotten and loving it!if your looking for someone to mind your pet,I’d 100% recommend Matthew, will definitely use him everytime we need Daisy minding

I couldn't ask for a better dog sitter. From the moment we met, it was clear how much she genuinely loves and understands dogs. Looking after my dogs in her own home meant they were treated like part of the family, with plenty of love, attention, and care. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I were away. Our dogs came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. It's such a relief knowing there's someone I can trust completely. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and professional home-from-home experience for their dog. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you for taking such amazing care of my furry family members!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
