About: Hi there, I am Amélie and I am a university student currently completing an MA in creative writing. I cannot imagine a life without animals, and it would be a pleasure to provide the best care and service to your pet. I have had dogs my entire life, with about 10-12 years of intentional, considered pet care. I have experience working with rescue dogs and dogs with moderate behavioural issues, and pets with anxiety issues. As well as this, I have considerable hands-on experience working with senior dogs, including administering medication, incontinence and end of life care. If your pet is more chill, I am also very happy to provide a more relaxed experience, or anywhere in between. Every pet is different and I will do my best to find the middle ground for them. I have a very flexible schedule right now. I am at university doing my Master's part time so am able to fit time in for your pets 7 days a week. Your pet is your baby - it is my role to treat them as such. All care provided will be at your discretion and in complete accordance of what has been set out. Your pet will always have a safe and loving environment with me. Walking routes can be customised to adapt to your dogs needs, including parks, quieter routes, breaks - whatever they need. I live in a pet-friendly and secure building; and there are no children or other animals in my home. So if a home visit is required, their needs will be met. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is not something many take lightly. I am happy to take this as slow as you would like to build up a relationship and establish what is right.

About: Hi! We’re two friends who’ve recently moved to Liverpool and have both grown up with dogs our whole lives. My family dogs are both 13 yo siblings from the same litter, and one of them has been deaf since birth, so I’m used to adapting care to suit different dogs and their individual needs. We live in a flat with a small balcony, but toilet breaks and walks will be frequent throughout the day, with longer walks for dogs who enjoy a bit more exercise and adventure. One of my own dogs is basically my baby and the definition of a couch potato, so I’m just as happy spending the afternoon cuddled up on the sofa as I am playing with energetic dogs who want constant attention. He was very understanding and attentive to Bandit’s individual needs, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about making sure Bandit felt happy and settled. We particularly appreciated Ben agreeing to an overnight stay before Bandit’s longer stay in October, so that Bandit could become familiar with him and feel more comfortable. For the first time in 10 years I decided to leave my dogs with a sitter so I could attend my daughters wedding in Dublin. Jay was fantastic from the first time I met her, my dogs took to her straight away. They stayed for 3 nights, I was sent pics and videos, of their shannigans, which looked like a good time. I was reassured they were OK. When picking them up I expected a big welcome from my dogs, but alas no, they did not want to come home, and sulked for a few hours, which told me they had a good time. Just wanted to say thanks SO much to Alison for looking after my little Arthur, she has been amazing. This was my first time leaving Arthur with a minder, he’s usually minded by family members if I am away so I was naturally a bit anxious, but Alison’s reviews looked great and she really made me feel at ease, we even had a meet and greet beforehand. Arthur sounds like he’s had a lovely time with all of the regular updates, photos and videos I got whilst away, i didn’t worry about him at all and I loved how Alison included him on her days out too. What a wonderful time Coco had with Sylwia. From the first meeting, we knew that Coco would be happy. Sylwia was fantastic! She took the time to get to know Coco and gave Coco time to get to know her. (Coco can be a fussy old lady.) Sylwia was attentive and kept us updated with her adventures. It meant so much to know that our fur baby was safe and happy, we can’t thank her enough. Would definitely recommend Sylwia to anyone!

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
