Rufus had a lovely time and Pauline looked after him with great care in the current heatwave, making sure he was drinking regularly, keeping him cool and only attempting short walks at cooler times of day. It had been a little while since he last stayed, but we could tell he was excited to see her when we arrived. As usual, we had great communication from Pauline and updates as to how Rufus was getting on. And she had remembered all his details, funny habits and requirements! Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
