“Absolutely amazing! Plenty of updates, allowed us a little leeway on times due to fight delays! Met up before hand to make sure our dogs got along! Poppys come home happy and tired 😂 thank you so much!”

“Great sitter! Super friendly, quick to respond and was able to accommodate at fairly short notice. She sent just the right amount of updates to assure us our Hugo was having a great time. I would have no hesitation booking again and would recommend to anyone. Thanks Rachel!”

“Our bulldog Winston has stayed with Paige twice now and on both times Paige has been so welcoming and accommodating to Winsty’s needs. He’s come home a very happy boy both times now and we will definitely be booking Winsty in with Paige again in future. Thank you so much x”

“Ian was an incredible host. He and his family welcomed Nala with open arms. Nala also seemed very relaxed on all the photos that he sent me through whilst we were apart. I would absolutely recommend Ian as a host and would definitely use him again.”

About: Hi everyone 😊 Dogs have always been huge part of my life. I grew up with a golden retriever who was my absolute world! For the last 5 years, i’ve been delivering dog therapy sessions to autistic children, but as our beautiful therapy dog has just retired I’m missing frequent dog company. Through work, I received therapy dog training and I’m very in tune with handling dogs and recognising their emotions and needs. I’m forever dog sitting and dog walking my family and friend’s dogs because I enjoy it. I’m really experienced in walking and caring for lots of different breeds and sizes of dogs and I can assure you your dog would be kept safe. Please message if you have any questions 😊 I work in a school during term-time which means I’m at home evenings and most weekends. I have school holidays off so have lots of availability then too. My partner sometimes work from home and he loves dogs (possibly more than he loves me!) so he can also offer services but these days will not be reflective in my calendar so please just ask if it’s short stays during weekdays that you’re after. I have a dog safe home with a ‘yarden’ that’s securely fenced. We have none of our own pets and no children so your dog would get extra attention! Your dog would receive lots of love and attention, and as much stimulation as they require. I love giving them lots of attention with cuddles and strokes- if that’s what they like. I’d make sure they don’t get bored and have regular toilet opportunities.
“Linus had a great 11 night stay with Justyna. He had obviously been very well looked after and was very happy and settled when I went to collect him. Justyna's house is clean, tidy and secure and she made Linus feel very at home. I highly recommend Justyna to look after your dog.”

“Second time Paddy has stayed, and as before, Helen and Alex were great and Paddy enjoyed himself. Took extra care of him during the recent heat wave and were very accomodating. Both Helen and Alex are dead nice and easygoing. When I needed to change the original booking by adding an extra day, they fitted it around their existing arrangements.”

“Huge thanks for taking care of Jasper and Maya. Great feedback on first trial.thanks also for the pictures. It was hard on their first trial run but you made it stressfree. Thank you J & C, M & J.”

“Christine is really friendly & recently looked after my Cockapoo Lola. She was well looked after & really happy on collection. She settled in well which was good as she does have a bit of separation anxiety. Would definitely recommend Christine and will use her again.”

Finding someone to trust with your pet is hard. Jennifer made it so easy and made me feel at ease leaving him. She went above and beyond with everything! Woody loved every minute. I received super cute updates every day and was always informed on the activities or places he had gone too. My dog came home happy and relaxed. Thank you for such loving care! I would absolutely recommend and would love to have Jennifer look after woody in the future.

Wow what can I say… Christine is amazing! Reassured and kept us up to date with how Blue was getting on. She went above and beyond, even dropping Blue off for us, when our flight was delayed. I would not hesitate to recommend her to look after your fur baby. Thanks so much Christine! 🐾♥️

Reggie stayed with Ange for two weeks, and I was extremely nervous as I’d never left him for that long before. Ange put my mind at ease from the very beginning. I received daily updates on all the adventures Reggie and Louie had together, which I really appreciated. Every day, my boys would ask, “What’s Reggie’s update today?” They loved hearing what he’d been up to! Thank you so much, Ange. I couldn’t recommend you highly enough. Reggie was so well looked after, and we’ll definitely be back!

We left our two year old spaniel Buster with Rachel having never boarded before. The whole family made Buster feel welcome and a part of the family straight away. Rachel kept us updated with regular message and pictures and helped keep our minds at ease. Highly recommended!

Snoop has had another wonderful stay with Chloe. Chloe truly loves animals and goes above and beyond to look after Snoop and make him feel loved and at home when he stays with her. It's lovely to get pics and videos of their adventures and puts my mind at ease that he's being so well cared for. Thanks again Chloe, Snoop can't wait for his next sleepover! X

I can’t recommend Mandy highly enough - she was fabulous. Severus was looked after so well and we got regular updates while we were away with photos of their outings and how comfortable he was. He slept in Mandy’s dog’s bed rather than his own, even though the beds were identical 😂. He usually goes bananas if we leave him for any length of time but he was quite calm when we picked him up after 6 days - I don’t think he was keen on leaving 🤣🤣. 10/10 and 5 stars.
Excellent service and a "home from home" - Liam made Reggie feel very at home which was great as we knew he would be in safe hands, and didn't need to worry about leaving him with someone different for the first time. Liam is also great with dogs. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again.
Rachel was not well message me the night before and explained but wanted to take Bailey for cuddles. Rachel always looks after him. When I pull up Bailey gets excited to see her. Which to me is a credit for Rachel as when we have used others he wouldn't get out the car. I know my dog is safe and happy when his with Rachel. The communication is amazing photos what his been upto Bailey loves going to see her Thanks Rachel even when u not well

Ian and his family looked after our dog Ziggy while we were away in Poland and she honestly couldn’t have been happier. She was clearly loved just as much as at home, had loads of walks, and we got plenty of photo updates which was lovely. Not sure she even missed us! Would definitely recommend.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
