About: I currently work with a large number of dogs caring for them in a luxury doggy hotel/ kennels, we don't like to have the dogs locked up we like to get them as much exercise and freedom as they need mixing making other doggy friends so I'm expanding to home boarding as I can offer the best services you could ever ask for I'm caring loving and will adapting my home to your doggys needs as it is not only their hotel for the time being but also their home and want them to be as comfortable as they possibly can. I currently work as and when I need to as I'm self employed but I ensure you where I go you're doggy will be with me and never left alone, as my job can involve any doggy in my care. I will be doing the sole care of the pet as my responsibility. I have a fenced back garden so no fur baby will be able to get out, I would normally walk three times a day for about an hour each time but if you're pet requires other needs I'm all here to listen twice a week on a Wednesday or Sunday it would be an adventure beach, woodlands, nature walks for a good 4-5 hours with regular breaks in-between of course its basically a day out for them doing what they love best, if you're pet requires anything different we will be here to listen and follow you're instructions if not happy with ours. We give lots of cuddles and loving.

About: Hello, My name is Mei, and I am originally from Hong Kong, now residing in the United Kingdom. I have extensive experience in pet care, having raised a Schnauzer and a Poodle for over 13 years. I enjoy spending my free time taking them out for walks, hikes, boat trips, and attending pet parties and other events where they can join me. Sadly, my Schnauzer passed away last year due to cancer, so now I only have my Poodle. Additionally, I have a 2.5-year-old daughter who adores playing with our pets. I have experience dealing with dogs with cancer and epilepsy, ensuring they receive the proper care and attention they need. Our daily routine includes letting our pets out in the backyard for toilet breaks at least three times a day. I am open to any requests and will do my best to assist you. Feel free to customize it further if needed! Our family currently working part time and I accept wide range of time from Monday to Sunday, 9am to 9pm are acceptable . DM for any special arrangement Our backyard is securely fenced, ensuring the safety of our pets while they enjoy their outdoor time. We will arrange breakfast at 9am and dinner at 7pm, DM for any special arrange

About: I’ve owned and cared for my own dog for the past 10 years, giving me hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, administering basic care, and recognising when a dog needs extra attention. I understand the importance of patience, routine, and making pets feel safe and loved while their owners are away. I work evenings, usually starting at 4pm or 6pm, which means I have plenty of flexibility during the day to give your dog the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. I’m available for daytime walks, drop-in visits, and quality playtime, and I’ll always make sure your pet’s routine is followed as closely as possible. I’m a friendly, caring person who genuinely loves dogs and understands how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I prioritise every dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness, and I always follow the owner’s instructions and routines to ensure they feel secure, well cared for, and loved while you’re away.

About: While our house isn’t huge, we have a secure fenced garden and are very close to a lovely park, so dogs will still get lots of exercise and outdoor time. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and we’d treat your dog as one of our own — with love, patience, and plenty of attention. We’re a loving family of four who genuinely miss having a dog in our home after sadly losing our beloved dog TJ last year at the age of 15½. TJ was part of our family from puppyhood through to his senior years, so we understand the patience, care, and attention dogs need at every stage of life — especially older dogs who may need extra support and gentleness. In his later years, TJ was blind and unsteady on his feet, so we became very experienced in creating a calm, safe, and comforting environment for him. Caring for him taught our daughters kindness, patience, and how important pets are as family members. Our cat Stanley absolutely adored TJ — they were best friends — and since TJ passed away, Stanley has definitely missed having a dog around the house. Both myself and my partner (Paul) work from home full time, meaning your dog will rarely be left alone and will get plenty of attention, company, cuddles, and toilet breaks throughout the day. We also have two caring daughters aged 10 and 8 who love animals and enjoy helping with walks, playtime, and giving lots of affection. We have a fenced back garden that is accessible throughout the day and also live close to Victoria Park which is perfect for walking dogs! For dogs that don't mind car rides, we love taking trips to the beach and will make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise. We will always follow your routine for feeding.

About: I grew up on a farm and love having pets around. My partner Ana had a similar childhood and became a Vet. Our friends leave their pets with us when they go on holidays, so we are used to having animals in and out of the house. We try to only have one family at a time to avoid unnecessary stress on pets that don't know eachother. I work fully remote with flexible hours. I can take your dog out for walks during the day or keep a close eye on your pet if required. Being separated from your pet can be stressful and we know that first hand, but they will be treated as family and we'll give you frequent updates throughout their stay. Though we will have to agree what too many updates would look like, so I don't end up spamming you with too many of them.   We have a friendly neighbourhood and a fairly large fenced and secure garden which we are aiming to cat proof soon as well. We have our own cat, Lizzie, who is very clingy with everyone she meets.

About: Animal lover with hands-on experience caring for a range of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs. I’ve regularly looked after my nan’s dog for extended periods of time, as well as caring for my dad’s cat while he’s been away. Having owned 2 rabbits and 2 guinea pigs myself, I understand the importance of patience, routine, attention and making pets feel safe and comfortable. I’m reliable, caring and will always treat your pets like they’re my own!🥰 I work part-time, which means I can give your pets plenty of time, attention and care whilst fitting around my flexible schedule. I’m usually available most weekdays depending on my work rota, which I receive monthly, so can plan bookings in advance with you. I also work every other weekend, so I have full availability on my weekends off for longer stays and visits. This pattern actually works really well, as it gives me plenty of free time to focus on your pets when I’m available🐾🤎 I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable and well cared for. I stick closely to their usual routines, keep their environment clean and calm, and give lots of attention so they feel secure when their owners are away. I’ve cared for a family dog multiple times in the past, I always follow a set routine of feeding, daily walks, garden playtime, and baths if needed after messy walks🦴🐾✨

Chloe clearly loves dogs and Shankly took to her straight away. They had a good walk and played games in the house on their return. We were kept updated with reports and photographs and we felt confident that Shankly had been well stimulated and cared for. Chloe came across as a lovely trustworthy person.

About: I have lifelong experience with dogs, particularly large and powerful breeds. Having owned and cared for Rottweilers, Cane Corsos, Labrador Retrievers, and Dogues de Bordeaux, I understand the unique needs, behaviours, and personalities of big dogs and feel completely confident handling them. Whether your dog is energetic and needs plenty of exercise or prefers a slower, more relaxed pace, I tailor my care to suit their individual needs. I provide reliable, patient, and loving care, treating every dog as if they were my own. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, but my experience with large breeds means owners of bigger dogs can have complete peace of mind knowing their pet is in capable hands. Which as a large dog owner I know can be incredibly difficult to find. I also have experience caring for puppies, helping reinforce basic training and good habits through consistency and positive interactions, as well as providing gentle, attentive care for senior dogs who may need extra patience and understanding. My priority is always your dog’s safety, happiness, and wellbeing. Whether it’s regular walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, you can trust that your pet will receive plenty of attention, affection, and the highest standard of care while you’re away. I am currently working part time, which mostly consists of a 6am-2pm shift on a Wednesday, a 2pm-10pm shift on a Thursday and a flexible weekend shift. I am happy and hppe to see to your dogs on not only the days I’m not in work, but also in the hours I’m not working on the days that I am in work. When caring for your pet in your home I will aim to keep the dogs routine as close to their usual. If you have preferred times of toilet breaks/ walks or any preferred walking destinations or rules I will adhere to your wishes and what is best for the dog.

Natalie, has looked after my dog George on a number of occasions now, when we go away. I would highly recommend Natalie, she is professional and looks after George extremely well, sending updates and photos. I makes leaving him not such a upsetting thing, knowing he is at home being cared for in his routine.

Laura took wonderful care of our cat while my boyfriend and I were away for a week. From the start, communication was excellent- clear, punctual, and friendly. We received daily updates with photos and notes about eating, litter, playtime, and how our cat was settling, which gave us total peace of mind. She followed our instructions perfectly, spent quality time playing and cuddling, and even noticed and accommodated our cat’s little quirks. Our home was left neat and tidy, and we returned to a calm, happy cat who clearly felt safe and cared for. Laura is reliable, kind, and genuinely loves animals. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy cat sitter.❤️☺️

This was my first time leaving my cat, Robin, for an extended period of time and the first time using a cat sitter. Laura was excellent! She responded promptly to my initial message and was friendly and professional. She kept in touch with me and sent updates whilst I was away, which really helped to put me at ease. She went above and beyond, drawing curtains and leaving a light on in the evenings. It was clear that Robin felt very comfortable with her and enjoyed her company too. Thank you so much Laura!

Would like to say a big big thank you to Nicola for today . Due to last minute having to leave our furbaby at home for longer then I would of liked today I messaged Nicola to see if she had space to do a home visit, Nicola messaged me back straight away to confirm, excellent communication and she even made him little treats to take round for him . I feel like Nicola went out of her way and above and beyond to help us today and make sure our little pup was ok with very little notice . Would 💯 recommend Nicola, Thanks again 😆

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Halton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
