“Ka Yu was very professional, and our cats were very well cared for, especially Cola, who has chronic kidney disease. Communication was easy and effective. We received clear updates every day about how the cats were doing, together with photos and video clips. Whenever Ka Yu noticed anything unusual or had any concerns about the cats’ condition, she would let us know promptly so that we could decide whether any further action was needed. She was also very reliable and punctual, visiting at roughly the same time each day. If there was any change to the usual visiting time, she would always let us know in advance. Overall, I highly recommend Ka Yu. I would definitely choose her again whenever I need a cat sitter in the future.”

She popped in to our house for three days while we were away for the weekend in Prague, and after recently moving to St Helens and not knowing many people locally yet, we were a bit nervous about leaving our 10-year-old cat daughter, Sasha Fierce. She followed every instruction perfectly, took lovely photos each visit, and sent a detailed Rover card every day with little updates about how Sasha was doing. It was so reassuring to see those messages come through – you can really tell she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. Sasha was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after when we got home, which says everything. Emma was reliable, thoughtful, and just overall brilliant. About: I have looked after a wide range of animals for family and friends for most of my life. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and find it incredibly rewarding to care for them and ensure they are happy, safe, and well looked after. I have a friendly, well-socialised dog who loves to play and spend time with other dogs. He also enjoys being around cats, although they don't always share his enthusiasm! I I recently resigned from a high-pressure role to focus on improving my work-life balance and overall well-being. About: I've had numerous pets since before I could remember my mum has a habit of taking in strays. From dogs to rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes,ferrets,fish, mice and even our 98 year old tortoise. I'm pretty good at training puppies and I can do senior care as we had our rottweiler til she was 14 and I helped out loads. I am very nurturing as I have been a carer for my mum and sister and for my nan as well before she passed. Currently I have a lurcher called Jeff and two kittens Dante and Damien. As well as a tegu called friyja and a snake called neala and of course the 98 yr old tortoise chigley. I understand when booking a housesitting some people want you to stay overnight but I would prefer to discuss that before a booking is confirmed. This is something that can be talked about at the meet and greet. I will also be providing a pet plan care guide to fill in at the meet and greet. I am a carer for my mum but happy to pet sit as long as I can keep in contact with my mum and make sure she's okay. I have a pretty flexible schedule but would appreciate notice of changes. I will always keep an eye on your pet making sure they have food and water and are let out to go to the bathroom enough and also make sure they have a bit of playtime as well and if you have your pets on walking schedules I will assist with that as well.

“We have a Boarder Collie which we got just before Covid so he doesent like strangers coming in to the house. We found Michael on Rovers and from the first time he came to our house he knew how to handle Teddy. He came twice to meet Teddy and then we went away for a week. Michael kept us updated with pictures and when he had been fed etc . If you have a dog that’s nervous or anxious I highly recommend Michael he’s excellent your dog will receive 5 star service .”

About: I've been around animals my whole life and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently own two dogs, including a 25kg Goldendoodle, and caring for them has given me hands-on experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities. About: From a young age I have worked at an animal sanctuary which rescued and re-homed a variety of abandoned animals from rabbits, guinea pigs, cats dogs and even farm animals ☺️ I wish I could have continued to do this into my adult years. Over the years I have had pets of my own and regularly look after my daughter dog and even take her away on short breaks with us. I enjoy long walks and always find myself jealous when people walk by with their pets as I walk alone. My mum is an Area Manager for Guide Dogs, before that she started her own dog training business which she ran evening classes which I would attend with her, so I have training experience. I currently work part time at home. I like to go for at least 2 walks a day which would be much more enjoyable with a dog to accompany me. There are no children at our home through the week, my partners daughter is here at the weekends she is 8 and also adores dogs, she practically begged me to sign up to Rover ☺️ We have a large fenced back garden which overlooks a local park with plenty of land for walking pets on short walks. We are also 1 minute walk away from farmers fields which is perfect for longer walks If you prefer for me to come and sit at your property with your pet this can also be arranged. I am also available to have your pet stay over on a weekend provided they are friendly and safe to be around children, we have children here alternative weekends, so if you have booked a weekend away or last minute been asked to work away and it falls on the weekend the child is not here if your dog is a little nervous around children then we would be more that happy to accommodate your pet ☺️ I care for pets as if they are my own. Pets will always be kept on a lead whilst out on a walk with me even after the trust has been built to ensure safety at all times. Please make me aware at the time of booking if your dog is not good with other dogs, children or any other areas of concern so that I can make sure you pet always feels safe and happy in my care. I have worked as housekeeper and nanny previously, for a home with 2 dogs. I had a key to the property, looked after their 4 children and 2 dogs. I am honest and trustworthy so if you are planning for me to come to your home when you are at work to let your pet out or take them for a walk I am more than happy to do so. If you would prefer for your pet to come to my home for the day so they can be fussed and walked and have some company while your at work, we have a bungalow so they have the run of the house and our fully fenced back garden which backs onto a park and the farmers fields are 1 minute walk away, so our location and property is ideal for pets.
