Kayleigh has looked after our cats a couple of times now and I would not hesitate to contact her again. She is so loving and caring and really does look after them well, giving lots of love and playtimes. It is always good to receive photos too. They are so chilled when we return. Thank you Kayleigh.

Natalie stepped in last minute to look after our 3 cats when we were let down by our regular sitter. Fast to respond and very reliable. Even the timid one seemed to take to Natalie on her initial visit. We came home to a lovely clean area and happy cats! Thank you Natalie x

Kylie is very friendly and easy to communicate with. She updates me every time she visits. My cats urinated on the floor, making a mess at home. Kylie spent a lot of time to help me clean it up.

About: I've been around animals my whole life and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently own two dogs, including a 25kg Goldendoodle, and caring for them has given me hands-on experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, and senior dogs with medical needs, as well as administering medication, feeding, walking, and providing plenty of love and attention. My own dogs are reactive, so I'm currently working with Dog Pawfection on ongoing training. This has given me valuable experience in handling reactive, nervous, and aggressive dogs safely, including lead handling, crate training, and managing challenging situations calmly while out on walks. Alongside caring for my own pets, I've regularly looked after friends' and family's dogs over the years, so I'm confident adapting to each dog's individual routine and needs. I'm also planning to complete a canine first aid course to continue developing my knowledge and provide owners with even greater peace of mind. I work as a dental nurse during the week, so I'm available after work and on weekends. I genuinely love spending time with animals, and I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. My goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I currently work full-time as a dental nurse, which means I'm available for pet care on evenings and weekends. Pet sitting is something I'm truly passionate about, and I'm excited to grow my client base while providing reliable, loving care to every pet I meet. My long-term goal is to gradually reduce my dental nursing hours and dedicate more of my time to caring for animals. Whether I'm looking after your pet for an evening, a weekend, or regular visits, you can count on me to treat them with the same care, patience, and attention that I give my own. When caring for your pet in your home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while keeping to their usual routine. I'll provide plenty of love, attention, playtime, walks, feeding, fresh water, and, of course, lots of cuddles if they enjoy them! I have experience with crate training, lead training, and reinforcing basic training around the home, so if you'd like me to continue practising simple commands and good habits while you're away, I'd be more than happy to help. I also have experience caring for reactive, nervous, and senior dogs, so I'm confident adapting my approach to suit each pet's individual needs. For cats, I'm equally happy to spend time playing, giving them affection on their terms, keeping litter trays clean, feeding them, and ensuring they have everything they need to feel relaxed and settled. Every pet is unique, so I'll always follow your instructions carefully and tailor my care to their routine, personality, and any specific requirements. I treat every pet as if they were my own, so you can have peace of mind knowing they'll be cared for with patience, kindness, and plenty of attention while you're away.

About: I've had numerous pets since before I could remember my mum has a habit of taking in strays. From dogs to rabbits, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes, ferrets, fish, mice and even our 98 year old tortoise. I'm pretty good at training puppies and I can do senior care as we had our rottweiler til she was 14 and I helped out loads. I am very nurturing as I have been a carer for my mum and sister and for my nan as well before she passed. Currently I have a lurcher called Jeff and two kittens Dante and Damien. As well as a tegu called friyja and a snake called neala and of course the 98 yr old tortoise chigley I am a carer for my mum but happy to pet sit as long as I can keep in contact with my mum and make sure she's okay. I have a pretty flexible schedule but would appreciate notice of changes. I will always keep an eye on your pet making sure they have food and water and are let out to go to the bathroom enough and also make sure they have a bit of playtime as well and if you have your pets on walking schedules I will assist with that as well.

About: What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to each pet’s individual needs. I have experience with both young and senior pets, so I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training and routines for puppies, as well as providing gentle, attentive care for older animals, including administering medication if needed. I’m patient, reliable, and always focused on making pets feel safe and comfortable. I also keep owners updated with regular messages and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I work night shifts at the hospital as a Health Care Assistant, so I am used to being responsible, reliable, and caring. Pet care fits well into my routine because I am available around my shifts, especially during the day, on some evenings, and on my days off. I have cared for cats most of my life and currently have two kittens myself, so looking after animals is already part of my daily life. I always make sure pets feel safe, calm, and comfortable. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding times, litter trays, walks, medication if needed, and house rules. In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and secure. I give pets gentle attention, patience, and care, especially if they are shy or nervous.

About: While our house isn’t huge, we have a secure fenced garden and are very close to a lovely park, so dogs will still get lots of exercise and outdoor time. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and we’d treat your dog as one of our own — with love, patience, and plenty of attention. We’re a loving family of four who genuinely miss having a dog in our home after sadly losing our beloved dog TJ last year at the age of 15½. TJ was part of our family from puppyhood through to his senior years, so we understand the patience, care, and attention dogs need at every stage of life — especially older dogs who may need extra support and gentleness. In his later years, TJ was blind and unsteady on his feet, so we became very experienced in creating a calm, safe, and comforting environment for him. Caring for him taught our daughters kindness, patience, and how important pets are as family members. Our cat Stanley absolutely adored TJ — they were best friends — and since TJ passed away, Stanley has definitely missed having a dog around the house. Both myself and my partner (Paul) work from home full time, meaning your dog will rarely be left alone and will get plenty of attention, company, cuddles, and toilet breaks throughout the day. We also have two caring daughters aged 10 and 8 who love animals and enjoy helping with walks, playtime, and giving lots of affection. We have a fenced back garden that is accessible throughout the day and also live close to Victoria Park which is perfect for walking dogs! For dogs that don't mind car rides, we love taking trips to the beach and will make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise. We will always follow your routine for feeding.

About: I grew up with 4 cats and 2 Labradors in my family, this sparked my compassion for animals. I adore playing, training, and most importantly making sure they have everything they need such as enough sleep, the right nutrition, enrichment and exercise! Presently, I am the owner of a Labrador puppy (and a cute elderly hamster)! She is incredibly well behaved, extremely well trained and always happy - this did not go without lots of highs and lows 😂. If you choose me to walk or look after your pet I will not disappoint. I am positive I will be able to give your dog anything it needs. I am able to handle large, strong breeds and I am also experienced with reactive dogs and how to train them. I am currently a postgraduate Student Doctor at the University of Liverpool meaning I have free time when most people are working! I am available intermittently during week days and available most weekends. I have a large fenced garden where my Labrador puppy loves to play and forage for food! She gets an amazing variety of exercise and training including tug of war, fetch, heel and recall work, and lots more enrichment. Our puppy also has specific nap times after a large meal or exercise which hugely helps dog behaviour as well as limiting any problems with digestion.

We were very nervous using this service for the first time, we chose Hayley from her perfect review score from over 100 reviews and I can honestly say they were right, even after me giving her the wrong key 🤦‍♂️ she showed nothing but professionalism and care for reggie and peaches and we could not be happier with her, she will now be our go-to for cat sitting in future. Thankyou Hayley, you were brilliant 👏

There are 1,430 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Saint Helens. About 92% of Saint Helens sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
