About: I have had 3 boxer dogs, all in which towards their old age I took great care of them including medication. I now have a cocker spaniel who has an ear problem so I am used to having to put medicated cream in his ears. I have also for the past year looked after a Jack Russel and a German shepherd. For these dogs I have house sat so I have done all the feeding and walking etc. I have also had experience cat sitting on 2 different occasions, so this opened me up to how to deal with litter trays, different dietary requirements and medication. These experiences have enabled me with many different opportunities to look after dogs and cats of all sizes! I am currently a university student who has a lot of free time after finishing my dissertation, so I am currently available everyday! Living in Manchester means I have easy access to many different bus/tram/train routes so I am very easy accessible. I have experience with all different breeds and ages so I am happy to be looking after animals who need medication, I can also safely put the dogs in their crate, also senior dogs if there is special needs that they need such as aid getting onto their bed. I have house sat on many occasions and never had any problems I always keep in contact with the Owner, happy to send lots of pictures so they are kept updated and if keys are involved always made sure I follow the owners instructions!
“Nia looked after our cat Claude while we were away for the weekend. She is very thorough, reliable and I’d completely recommend her to anyone that needs drop in visits for their cat or dog. We were provided with regular updates and photos to feel reassured everything was fine at home while we were away. Thank you and Claude’s looking forward to seeing you again later this week 🙂”

“Lauren was absolutely brilliant and took great care of my newly blind cat, sending lots of updates and letting me know he'd had his meds. She didn't see much of my other cat but he's a wary boy - but managed to get a great shot of his rear end disappearing up the garden. Highly recommended!”

“Leah was a really great sitter, conscientious, quick to reply to messages and looked after our boys really well. We could relax and enjoy our time away knowing our boys were in great caring hands. Thank you!”

“Thomas accommodated my last minute booking and set my mind at ease leaving my cats for a few days. He is very attentive and the cats loved him! I will always book Thomas when I go away. I couldn't be happier. He is really nice and I came home to happy cats and a clean area!”

About: Hiya, I’m Tarrah and I’ve been caring for animals pretty much my whole life. I grew up surrounded by animals and have spent the last 5 years pet sitting and the last 2 years house sitting for people around the world and in the UK. I genuinely treat pets like family, and I’m big on routines. I’m very intuitive with animals, and I take time to understand each pet as an individual. Different personalities need different care, and I always adjust to what your pet is comfortable with, and needs. You can expect regular updates, photos and videos while you’re away, and the peace of mind that your home and your pet are being looked after properly. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and kittens to senior and end-of-life pets, so I’m comfortable with both high-energy and gentle, slower routines. I have such a special connection with animals that growing up, my nickname was Ace Ventura and Dr Dolittle… which honestly still feels pretty accurate 😅. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet and your home with someone, and I take that responsibility seriously. If you’re looking for someone calm, reliable and genuinely invested in your pet’s wellbeing, I’d love to help. I work fully remotely and run my own business, which means my schedule is completely flexible. I can fit in walks, playtime, feeding, medication and cuddles throughout the day, and I’m always available to respond to updates or messages. Whether your pet prefers structured routines or more relaxed days, I can adapt to their needs and ensure they feel happy and cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. Whether I’m in your home or caring for your pet at mine, I make sure the environment is secure, clean and calm. I follow your instructions to the letter, feeding, walks, medication, routines - and pay close attention to each pet’s individual needs and temperament. I also provide regular updates, photos and videos, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy and loved.
“Lauren has dog sat for our 3 Maltese dogs on numerous occasions and the dogs love her. She is very reliable and professional, very easy to deal with, asked all the right questions and clearly understood our dogs needs. We would definitely recommend her and will be booking her again!”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals of all kinds - from rabbits to rats, fish to cats, and a dog or two as well! Having such a variety of pets taught me that every animal, big or small, needs the same things: care, attention, patience, and lots of engagement. Although I haven’t had pets of my own while at university, I’ve consistently lived with cats and dogs that needed looking after, so caring for animals has always been part of my daily life. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel relaxed and safe. What matters most to me is a pet’s quality of life. I make sure every animal I care for feels happy, stimulated, and well looked after while their owner is away. I’m a graduate student with a flexible schedule, and much of my work can be done from home. This allows me to easily plan my day around your pet’s routine and give them plenty of attention and care. I attend class on Tuesdays and every other Monday for no more than six hours, but outside of that I’m generally home and available throughout the week. This means I can be a consistent and attentive companion for your furry friend while you’re away. I follow your pet’s routine closely, whether it’s feeding, walks, or playtime, to keep them happy and comfortable. On walks, I tailor the pace and activity to their energy level while always keeping safety in mind. When house sitting, I treat both your pet and home with care, giving companionship, attention, and a calm environment so your furry friend feels secure while you’re away. Clear communication and reliability are always my top priorities.
“Kristine was great. She was very organised and ensured that everything was as we had discussed. She spent time with the cats and sent some super photos. I would highly recommend her.”

“Ellen has been amazing! Really great communication and regular updates. When we came back our cat was chilled out - this is the happiest we’ve seen her after being away. I would definitely recommend Ellen and we will be using her again.”

About: Growing up, I have always been around pets and taken care of them for family members, friends, and neighbours. I have a love for any range of animals, especially from having a dog and cat myself. I am flexible with any Rover needs, just at least a few days notice is required, and your pet will be happy being walked or looked after by me! I am currently a student at the University of Chester, which is very close to my house, and I only tend to have one or two classes a day so I am available the majority of the days to look after pets. I am happy to go on constant walks and to play with the pets. am also happy to go to someone else’s house to look after their dog or cat, as well as check-ins.
“Becky made sure our fur baby was very well looked after whilst we were away. Sends great video updates and also does the extra stuff without us having to ask (eg water plants). Would definitely use Becky again! ”

About: I’ve always had a dog in my home for as long as I can remember so have a true love of them, I have taken care of other dogs since the age of 15 including boarding and simple drop by. I am also training to be a vet at university and have other qualifications in animal care and welfare that I studied prior and during university I am currently at university however am looking for summer work mostly around July-August perfect for those going on holiday for the school summer holidays I used to take my dog out at least once a day if not twice, her feeding routine was twice a day and this has been similar to most dogs I have taken care of, some dogs need more exercise then others and that I will take into consideration. I often wake up early and let my animals out to the toilet at this time. Routine varied depending upon the household so I am more then happy to take into consideration the routine normally set by owners such as yourself :)
About: Born into a family where there was always a dog and a cat, many other animals came and went along the way! This was replicated when bringing up my own family. I have many years of experience caring for different animals with different needs and temperaments! Now semiretired, I have a background in healthcare, and am a practical person. I am now able to do my dream job of pet sitting and dog walking, having the necessary experience and practical attributes for the task. Always reliable, professional and discreet, I offer a service which is tailored to individual needs. Caring for pets is my full time job, so I would have time care for your pet at anytime. I have a very flexible lifestyle, so am happy to fit in with people as to their individual requirements. I offer an individual service based on people’s requirements. Respect for the owners wishes in caring for their pet would be adhered to at all times. All instructions would be followed. Working in someone else’s home means that trust is paramount. Discretion and confidentiality would be adhered to. On top of this, I am DBS checked to reassure customers of my honesty and integrity.
Chester cat owners share their Rover experiences
Chloe has been absolutely fantastic and I'm sure she's replaced me as Miri's favorite human! It made a real difference to our holiday, having complete peace of mind that Miri was content and well looked after. I really looked forward to the daily updates that Chloe sent me about what Miri was getting up to, how she was eating, and the cuddles she was getting, and sent great photos and videos of their play sessions. It was fantastic to see Miri so content and getting some love. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Chloe, and would not hesitate to ask her to look after Miri again.
Ellen was absolutely great! Responsible, responsive and reliable. She took great care of my three cats for me while I was away, sent me updates on their status after visits, and when I arrived home they were all healthy and happy! I would definitely recommend her!
Would recommend caitlin to look after your fussy pussys. Caitlin looked after my two very different cats, one shamelessly craving affection, the other very shy over 5 days. Both were well cared for and caitlin kept me up to date with photos of ginge happily sitting on her knee soaking up the attention. Thank you caitlin would happily use you again if you'd have us 😻
Emma was great. We had a visit prior to our booking date so she could meet our cat. He was very shy at first but she gently got him to come round. She followed our instructions to the letter and sent us regular updates on his behaviour and eating. We’ll be booking her again

I would 100% recommend Heather in a heartbeat. She is calm, efficient and exactly what we needed to visit and feed our extremely nervous little cat while we were away. We got daily updates and it was obvious that Heather genuinely cares about animals and their welfare. Thank you so much Heather, I shall be telling friends and neighbours about your excellent service.
