“I’m so glad to have Steven as my cat sitter for drop-in visits! He provides daily updates along with photos, which gives me complete peace of mind whenever I’m away for weekends or holidays. I know Gianni is always well cared for. From the photos, it’s clear Gianni is happy to see Steven—whether he’s refilling food and water or spending time brushing him for some quality bonding. Steven’s calendar is always up to date, and communication is effortless—he responds quickly and is very reliable. Thank you again for the excellent service”

About: I have experience with a variety of species from looking after my own pets, family’s pets, pet sitting since the beginning of this year, 5 years of animal care at college up to an Animal Management degree, 2 years stable hand experience and 1 year at a small zoo with animals such as wolf dogs, lemurs, 10 foot reticulated pythons, meerkats and emu among others. I can provide further details and also have a small rescue page that documents some of the animals I’ve cared for, as my main goal is to have a flexible schedule that allows me to take in stray/unwanted pets and injured wildlife. And I would love to here from you, no matter the enquiry x I currently work part time Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 5pm, so have plenty of availability throughout the week, and if given 6 weeks advance notice I may be able to book work off. For safety reasons I prefer to have a double door system set up if possible in homes with flighty fur babies, and dogs will ideally stay on the lead unless they have good recall and we’re in a secure field. I have some experience riding, but only on a sound horse, so would only be willing to exercise horses with ground work or with test rides before your booking.
About: I have been a pet-sitter since 2023 and I have been both trusted and recommended by friends and family due to my calm demeanour and kind nature. I'm a caring and responsible dog-sitter, trusted for my attentive care, and dedicated to providing a safe and loving environment for your furry companion I work as a freelance artist so I am completely in control of my schedule and can be extremely flexible and accommodating in terms of my time and my ability to travel my own home has a small to medium sized, concrete-slab covered back yard with 6ft brick wall perimeter. In the home of a pet-owner I would respect any rules of the house
About: I have had dogs for as long as I can remember and I currently have a greyhound called George. I have experience in caring for dogs with various needs, including those who take regular medication. I enjoy taking George out for adventurous walks and equally, cuddling up on the sofa. I have experience in dog training, including puppy training and with senior dogs. I work for the NHS and finish my shift in the afternoon, so I’m available from around 4:30 most days. Feel free to drop me a message and we can arrange a time that’s best for you. I have a fenced garden and a lovely greyhound to keep your dog company :) We allow our dog on furniture, so yours is more than welcome to get cosy too! My mum works from home so she will always be there to keep an eye out even if I have to pop out.

“Mark has recently looked after my 4 cats for the last 6 days. Mark came for a meet and greet when I initially booked which was some time before the actual visit, he also came again for a refresh the day before which I really appreciated. He was friendly and chatty and put me at ease and I knew the cats would be well cared for. I had updates everyday and lots of photo's. The house was clean and tidy and he was happy to go and search for the cats under the bed to make sure they were all ok. My 4 cats are rescue and not all of them good with strangers so this was very much appreciated. Thanks Mark!”

“Perfect sitter, really professional and very kind to the dogs. Came on time and stayed for the full duration if not longer. Really nice to have peace of mind. Our dogs are our world and Caitlin was expecting. Definitely recommend and will use again. Super happy. Xx”

About: I’ve grown up with a mixture of all kinds of animals, especially cats and dogs and they have a special place in my heart. I love spending every minute with them and making them happy. I currently have plenty time as I am only working part time. I have my own pets which I care for too but still have plenty of time to care for others! I am happy to go on plenty of walks, keep their living space clean, tidy and comfortable and make sure their food/water is always accessible and full. I enjoy playing and making your fur baby happy by doing their favourite activities.

“Amazing - super friendly and trust worthy. Really nice guy - very quick responses and very flexible. Lloyd comes to visit coco every week while we are both in work - I don’t know what we would do without him☺️”

About: Hi, I’m Heather, a dedicated and passionate animal lover with a lifelong dream of working with pets of all kinds. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely love, and I bring that enthusiasm and commitment into every walk, visit, and stay. I’ve had dogs in my life from a very young age, so being around them has always come naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve also looked after family and friends’ dogs while they’ve been away for work or holidays, as well as caring for cats in the same way. This has given me valuable experience with different temperaments, routines, and care needs. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I have my own dog, Poppy, who has given me hands-on experience in daily care, exercise, and understanding a dog’s needs, personality, and routine. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from young puppies full of energy to older, senior dogs who need a gentler, more attentive approach. My goal is always to ensure your furry four-legged best friend is happy, safe, and well cared for at all times. I am reliable, responsible, and treat every pet as if they were my own. My young baby daughter will accompany me on the majority of walks, either in her pram or carrier. Because of this, I’m best suited to working with calm, friendly dogs who are comfortable around young children. Your dog’s safety—and my child’s—will always be my top priority. I offer a range of services including regular walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, all tailored to your pet’s individual needs. I’m more than happy to take your dog to off-lead areas for exercise and play (with your permission), and I also offer adventure day walks on selected dates, visiting places such as dog parks and scenic routes like Rossett Trail. You can expect clear communication, reliability, and regular updates while your pet is in my care, giving you complete peace of mind. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely passionate about animals, I’d love to look after your pet. Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily life, as I’m currently on maternity leave with my baby daughter. This gives me the flexibility to plan my days around providing attentive, reliable care for your much-loved pets, while also maintaining a happy routine for my own dog, Poppy. Because of this, I’m able to offer a calm, structured, and consistent approach to pet care. Walks and visits are thoughtfully planned to ensure each pet gets the time, attention, and exercise they need, while still fitting smoothly into a balanced daily routine. Having my daughter with me also means I prioritise gentle, positive environments, making me especially well-suited to caring for calm, friendly dogs who enjoy relaxed, enjoyable walks and companionship. Creating a safe, happy experience for both the pets in my care and my daughter is always at the heart of what I do. I truly believe that every pet deserves individual attention, love, and patience. I take pride in giving my very best to each and every animal I look after, treating them as part of the family and ensuring they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for at all times. With me, you can feel confident that your pet will receive kind, dedicated care in a warm and nurturing environment. I offer petsitting in your own home for your pets, I unfortunately at the moment cannot offer sitting or boarding in my own home due to lack of space. However I often find pets prefer the familiar environment of their own homes.

About: I have grown up with dogs and have over two years of experience working as a dog and cat groomer. I am confident in handling animals of different temperaments and always prioritise their comfort and wellbeing. I am reliable, patient, and genuinely passionate about caring for pets. Pet sitting fits well around my current schedule, as I work part-time and am about to finish college. I am organised and able to manage my time effectively, ensuring pets receive consistent care and attention. I am usually available on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays, and I am committed to being reliable and flexible where possible. I will care for pets in their home by following the owner’s routine closely, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their familiar environment. I will provide regular feeding, fresh water, playtime, and plenty of attention. On walks, I will keep pets safe by using secure leads, staying aware of surroundings, and tailoring the pace and distance to suit each pet’s needs and energy levels.
About: I have been a drugs detection handler for the last 4 years now and enjoy it immensely. I have 4 dogs myself and 2 cats. I’ve had 2 of my dogs for 8 years, 1 for 3 years and the other for 2 years. I have a collie, beagle, sprocker and springador. I have experience in dealing with aggressive dogs, nervous dogs and overly friendly dogs. I have training in canine first aid. I’ve had 2 of my dogs from puppies and the other 2 were rescues, one of which came with a lot of issues but thankfully over time with lots of training he is a completely different dog. I live not far from many gorgeous places to take dogs on long walks/hikes or even for a swim! Any questions please feel free to ask 🙂 I’m currently self employed so I don’t currently have a set week rota. But please feel free to message me and can let you know if I’m free. I will take care of your pets as though they were my own. Anything that’s needed I’m will do as they’re family and I know how much they mean to each person.
“Samantha was brilliant with the cats, kept us up to date daily, with photos and reports. We couldn’t have asked for more. Will have no hesitation in asking Samantha to look after them again and would recommend her to friends.”

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Wrexham
Steve was excellent. From the first meet and great, it was clear that he's really cares about animals, and he's head been gravitation. It so wonderful to know I was coming home to a calm, well fed, happy cat. Steve went above and beyond too, bringing in a parcel that arrived early and clearing up a knocked over plant. I have no hesitation in recommending him, and hyper that he will be available if I need to go away again. Thank you so much, Steve. 10/10 Hazel and Tigger

This was a repeat booking as Mark had looked after our cat Midna earlier in the year. Midna was well looked after which I knew she would be. She is not a sociable cat but she appeared to listen out for Mark and check him out when he used to arrive to feed her . I would recommend Mark looking after your pets .

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
