About: Hi! My name is Jane, and I’m a fully qualified veterinary nurse with several years of hands on experience caring for animals. Alongside my veterinary qualifications, I have previous experience working as a dog walker and pet sitter through Pawshake, where I provided daily walks, feeding, exercise and companionship for pets while their owners were away. I have worked in veterinary clinics in Ireland, Malta and Turkey, gaining extensive experience handling dogs and cats of different breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. My veterinary background has given me the skills to recognise signs of illness or distress, administer medication, monitor animals’ health and provide additional care for pets with medical needs. This gives me plenty of time to fit pet care around my studies! I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits and pet sitting throughout the week, including weekends. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine and can be flexible with timings where possible. About: I've been around cats and dogs my whole life and have always loved caring for animals. When I was younger, I volunteered at a local dog shelter, where I gained experience looking after dogs with different personalities and needs. These days, I regularly take my boyfriend's Beagle and his sisters' Shibas out for walks, making sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and treat every pet as if they were my own, providing them with lots of care, affection, and a safe, happy environment. I work fully remotely, so I'll be home throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, companionship, and regular toilet breaks if needed. Your pet won't be left alone for long periods, and I'll make time for play, cuddles, and keeping to their usual routine. I have a large, secure garden where dogs can enjoy supervised time outside, whether that's playing, exploring, or simply relaxing in the fresh air. My own cat, Flo, loves spending most of her day sunbathing in the garden and is used to being around dogs, as my partner regularly brings his Beagle over to visit. She's calm and comfortable sharing the space with well-behaved, cat-friendly dogs. My priority is always making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and at home during their stay.

“Mark has recently looked after my 4 cats for the last 6 days. Mark came for a meet and greet when I initially booked which was some time before the actual visit, he also came again for a refresh the day before which I really appreciated. He was friendly and chatty and put me at ease and I knew the cats would be well cared for. I had updates everyday and lots of photo's. The house was clean and tidy and he was happy to go and search for the cats under the bed to make sure they were all ok. About: I’ve grown up with a mixture of all kinds of animals, especially cats and dogs and they have a special place in my heart. I love spending every minute with them and making them happy. I currently have plenty time as I am only working part time. I have my own pets which I care for too but still have plenty of time to care for others! About: I began working for a locally well-known, independent dog walking company in Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA) when I was 17 years old. It was the best job and taught me so much about dogs, pet care, but also about who I was and who I wanted to become. I stayed with the company for 3 years before branching off on my own venture (“The Pooch Au Pair”). From 2015-2022 I was self employed as a dog walker and in-home pet caretaker/house sitter. During this time I also invested energy into developing my knowledge and practice of pet care, including pet first aid and dog behaviour & training workshops and courses. I balanced this venture alongside studying full time at University, where I achieved a 1:1 BSc (Hons) Psychology degree in 2021. After 4 years in full-time employment in Higher Education, I have decided to refocus on pursuing work aligned with the things I am most passionate about: dogs, helping people, and continuing to learn and apply new knowledge. I treat every pet as if they were my own, keeping their safety and well-being the top priority. I understand no two dogs are exactly alike - while there are patterns and traits unique to and consistent across types, breeds, and ages, every dog has their own story and “quirks”. I truly enjoy observing, interacting with, and getting to understand each dog as an individual. Transforming these experiences and lessons into specialised, bespoke care is a task I relish and take pride in achieving. I plan to continue pursuing further education on canine psychology, behaviour, training, and care with a goal of becoming a fully qualified canine behaviourist.
