“Derek Took good care of our girl in our home over 6 days. He kept us updated with many photos and videos of her having fun, she always appeared happy and safe with him. Both our dog and home were in good condition when we returned. Derek Himself is a very friendly man who was a pleasure to meet.”

I specialise in: 🐾 Small group walks (max 4 dogs) for safety and attention 🐾 Solo walks for nervous, reactive, or high-energy dogs 🐾 Enrichment-led care — mental stimulation, not just exercise 🐾 Calm, structured introductions and well-matched groups 🐾 Reliable, consistent service you can depend on 🐾 over night pet sitting 🐾 extended day sitting 🐾 drop in visits 🐾 puppy sessions 🐾 basic training Every pet is treated as an individual. I take the time to understand their personality, routine, and needs to ensure they feel safe, fulfilled, and truly enjoy their time with me. I am fully insured, first aid trained, and proud to be a family-run business — meaning your pet will always receive genuine care, attention, and consistency. ✨ i’m not here to be the cheapest — i’m here to be the most trusted. My experience with dogs has been lifelong. Growing up around German Shepherds and Border Collies on our family farm, I developed a deep understanding of working breeds, their behaviours, and their need for structure and purpose. This was further influenced by a family background in professional dog handling, giving me valuable insight into discipline, consistency, and communication with dogs. Alongside this, I have also spent time volunteering in a dog shelter environment, working with a variety of breeds, temperaments, and behavioural needs. This experience has strengthened my ability to support nervous, reactive, and more sensitive dogs with patience and care. I specialise in working with a wide range of dogs, including those who may be nervous, reactive, or require a more tailored approach. Every dog is treated as an individual, with care designed around their personality, routine, and specific needs. If you’re looking for a professional, dependable service that puts your dog first, i’d love to hear from you. I’m now taking bookings for pet sitting / dog walking from May onwards! 🐾 I’m also available Tuesday through to Sunday, for dog walking. I offer reliable, caring, and professional pet sitting tailored to your dog’s routine. Whether you’re heading away for a weekend or need regular support, you can relax knowing your dog is in safe hands and treated like part of the family. Spaces are limited, so be sure to get in touch early to secure your dates! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always aim to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their familiar environment. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, medication (if required), and any specific care needs. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and enrichment through play and interaction, while also respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. I keep the home tidy, ensure fresh water is always available, and monitor the pet’s wellbeing throughout each visit. I’m also happy to provide regular updates, photos, and messages to give owners peace of mind while they’re away.
“Fabulous as always I know my dogs can be a bit of a handful as they’re a bit noisy initially But Mark takes it in his stride and follows all the requests I make to the letter Lovely sitter my animals love him :)”

About: I have experience with a variety of species from looking after my own pets, family’s pets, pet sitting since the beginning of this year, 5 years of animal care at college up to an Animal Management degree, 2 years stable hand experience and 1 year at a small zoo with animals such as wolf dogs, lemurs, 10 foot reticulated pythons, meerkats and emu among others. I can provide further details and also have a small rescue page that documents some of the animals I’ve cared for, as my main goal is to have a flexible schedule that allows me to take in stray/unwanted pets and injured wildlife. And I would love to here from you, no matter the enquiry x I currently work part time Friday, Saturday and Sunday after 5pm, so have plenty of availability throughout the week, and if given 6 weeks advance notice I may be able to book work off. For safety reasons I prefer to have a double door system set up if possible in homes with flighty fur babies, and dogs will ideally stay on the lead unless they have good recall and we’re in a secure field. I have some experience riding, but only on a sound horse, so would only be willing to exercise horses with ground work or with test rides before your booking.
“Mike has looked after our two lovely boys on a number of occasions. From the outset he demonstrated a calm , professional yet loving approach to them . They in turn quickly took to him and are excited to see him each time. Mike is professional, kind and attentive to our dogs needs and we trust him implicitly to look after them as we would, in our absence . I have no hesitation in recommending him to other owners .”

About: Hi, I’m Heather, a dedicated and passionate animal lover with a lifelong dream of working with pets of all kinds. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely love, and I bring that enthusiasm and commitment into every walk, visit, and stay. I’ve had dogs in my life from a very young age, so being around them has always come naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve also looked after family and friends’ dogs while they’ve been away for work or holidays, as well as caring for cats in the same way. This has given me valuable experience with different temperaments, routines, and care needs. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I have my own dog, Poppy, who has given me hands-on experience in daily care, exercise, and understanding a dog’s needs, personality, and routine. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from young puppies full of energy to older, senior dogs who need a gentler, more attentive approach. My goal is always to ensure your furry four-legged best friend is happy, safe, and well cared for at all times. I am reliable, responsible, and treat every pet as if they were my own. My young baby daughter will accompany me on the majority of walks, either in her pram or carrier. Because of this, I’m best suited to working with calm, friendly dogs who are comfortable around young children. Your dog’s safety—and my child’s—will always be my top priority. I offer a range of services including regular walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, all tailored to your pet’s individual needs. I’m more than happy to take your dog to off-lead areas for exercise and play (with your permission), and I also offer adventure day walks on selected dates, visiting places such as dog parks and scenic routes like Rossett Trail. You can expect clear communication, reliability, and regular updates while your pet is in my care, giving you complete peace of mind. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely passionate about animals, I’d love to look after your pet. Caring for animals fits naturally into my daily life, as I’m currently on maternity leave with my baby daughter. This gives me the flexibility to plan my days around providing attentive, reliable care for your much-loved pets, while also maintaining a happy routine for my own dog, Poppy. Because of this, I’m able to offer a calm, structured, and consistent approach to pet care. Walks and visits are thoughtfully planned to ensure each pet gets the time, attention, and exercise they need, while still fitting smoothly into a balanced daily routine. Having my daughter with me also means I prioritise gentle, positive environments, making me especially well-suited to caring for calm, friendly dogs who enjoy relaxed, enjoyable walks and companionship. Creating a safe, happy experience for both the pets in my care and my daughter is always at the heart of what I do. I truly believe that every pet deserves individual attention, love, and patience. I take pride in giving my very best to each and every animal I look after, treating them as part of the family and ensuring they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for at all times. With me, you can feel confident that your pet will receive kind, dedicated care in a warm and nurturing environment. I offer petsitting in your own home for your pets, I unfortunately at the moment cannot offer sitting or boarding in my own home due to lack of space. However I often find pets prefer the familiar environment of their own homes.

Caitlin has looked after our dogs 3 times now and she is beyond excellent. Updates, photos and videos making us feel at ease. Professional, kind and fantastic with all my pets. I can’t thank her enough for everything she does. I wouldn’t ask anyone else to sit my pets ☺️

First time using a house sitter, for all our animals (axolotls, marine fish, 2 cats, tortoise and 2 dogs including a 10month old Labrador). From the initial house visit, Bethan put us at ease with a nice confidence that she’d be happy and comfortable looking after our house and animals and all of the different routines for the animals for 11 days. She was happy to accommodate all of our needs, including whatever updates we wanted. During our holiday, Bethan gave meaningful updates and pictures putting us completely at ease, and allowed us to completely switch off and enjoy the holiday. Can’t recommend Bethan enough!

Caitlyn was amazing with our dog, Baxter! She kept our house super clean and tidy, and we loved getting all the photos and updates while we were away. It was such a relief knowing Baxter was happy and well cared for. We’d definitely recommend Caitlyn to anyone looking for a great dog sitter!

We booked Catrin to look after our 13 year old Shih Tzu Fudge who has only ever been left with family and never left alone. As soon as Catrin arrived any apprehension we had had about how Fudge would be disappeared! Catrin's calm personality and an obvious love of dogs had Fudge making a new friend! He didn't even care when we were leaving, he was sat on the sofa next to Catrin being hand fed treats! We also received a lovely text during the afternoon to say Fudge was being a very good boy, this was nice and reassuring. We would definitely book with Catrin again and have told friends and family how great she is too.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Wrexham walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wrexham choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
