“Excellent service. Joshua was extremely knowledgeable on caring for Ronnie. Ronnie was relaxed on my return. He obviously loves dogs and he was able to advise me about Ronnie's separation anxiety. I highly recommend Joshua and will certainly use his services again. Thank you.”

“Katie has been unbelievably great with Molly. Molly has been dealing with a lot of anxiety so leaving her for the night was a worry. But Molly loves Katie, she has been amazing at keeping Mol relaxed and reassured. Excellent communication throughout the stay, all round great sitter.”

About: I've always grown up around dogs and love all kinds. We've had a boxer, springer spaniel, and smaller breeds too. I love walking and would love a companion to join me :) I will be available on weekends (Fri - Sun) all day as well as evenings 4:30pm onwards, so loads of time to care for your animals! Happy to travel further if needed as I have a full driving license. I am happy to walk your dogs or do home-visits to feed and play with your pets! Also happy to feed other pets such as fish or rabbits if you have any!
“Serena has stayed at our house on 2 occasions now to look after our puppy Luna. She is really attentive and caring. She provides us with regular updates and photos on how lunas doing, updating us on walks and doesn’t hesitate to ask anything unsure of. We feel reassured when we’re away that Luna is in good hands :) we would of course recommend her service. Great communication throughout :)”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 8 years old, so caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. I’ve looked after family members’ dogs and now regularly care for friends’ dogs in their homes. I’m confident with dogs of different personalities and love giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks and cuddles. I understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you can completely trust, and I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own. I work full-time, but I have evenings, weekends and days off available for pet care. I’m organised and will always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime and company. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my priority. I’ll follow their usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime and any specific instructions. I’ll keep a close eye on them and make sure they feel comfortable, settled and cared for in their own home. I’m respectful of your home and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your pet is happy while you’re away. 🐶❤️
“Rhiannon was great, our dog loved her, she took him for some lovely walks, and sent great photos to show how he was enjoying himself, and of course he was happy with not having to leave home. We will be using her again🥰🥰”

About: Ive had dogs for years, my last dog had Addisons disease, so I learnt to care for dogs that require medications and more observation than most. All my dogs have been spaniels, very well behelaved and friendly. I only ever have love for all types of dogs. They are precious animals and we are their world. I work irregular hours and am sometimes away on cruise ships. But when I am home, I am home all day. Normally Daphne gets 2/3 walks through the day. As well as daily training and brain stimulation. Throughout all services I will treat the pups with respect and as if they were my own. Then dependant on the service booked I will always work toward the owners daily routines or the instructions left for the care of their wonderful pet.
“Tarrah, you are very welcome to come and look after my fur babies. Attentive to my animals. Shared plenty of videos and pictures. Clean and tidy. Great warm, friendly sitter. Thank you”

“Dana is incredible, we can't say enough to give her the credit she deserves. Peggy and Bob had just moved to the UK all the way from Canada and only had a few days to settle in to a new home after a long journey. Dana made them feel so comfortable while we were away for a wedding and had such great communication with us through the stay. She kept us updated on how they were doing and sent us lots of pics and videos which was so sweet and let us now they were in loving hands and we could relax and enjoy the wedding. Dana surpassed every aspect you could want from a pet sitter and we highly recommend her services to everyone on here. We will definitely be looking to book her services again. On top of everything great that Dana did for us and our pets she even left us an adorable Polaroid picture of Bob and Peggy that we will cherish forever. Thank you so much Dana. Bob and Peggy say they love you and can't wait to see you again.”

“Will minded my dog in my home for 3 nights. I couldn’t be happier with the service provided. I came back to a very settled and happy dog. I got regular updates from Will about how the dog was getting on. I will 100% be using Will’s excellent services again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of Beau since I got him nine years ago, he’s my precious boy. He spends most of his day having naps on the sofa. I travel often but have loads of time at home when I’m not abroad. Your pups will be well looked after and crated should they need to be left unattended. We are located on nine acres so there is plenty of room to run, play, and sniff. On warm days we get lots of sunshine in the front garden and it’s great for sunbathing or an afternoon nap. The property is fenced in, we keep few pet sheep and a pygmy goat, and have no children.
About: Dedicated to your pet always, you can be reassured they will be in safe hands with me. I am an animal lover who has been lucky enough to have grown up around pets with many different personalities, so I am naturally drawn to looking after their needs. I love being a dog sitter & grateful for the little friends I've met along the way! I have happily cared for family pets when they were working or on holiday. Since being young I have looked after pets from taking them for walks, playing to feeding them at suitable times. It has always mattered to me that they are being well cared for. I volunteered at an animal sanctuary in Thailand looking after rescue dogs and elephants. It was an amazing experience that I would love to do again! I will take good care of your pet with patience, love and commitment. I can't wait to meet them! I am currently self employed and the type of work I do is remote. Therefore I can choose my hours and take my work with me if needed. I have a fenced garden and a cosy bedroom that is very suitable for dogs. My home is spacious and your dog would have flexibility to wonder around.
“Vivien was great with our dog Ringo. Daily updates and pictures were sent. Ringo had a great time and settled in well with her! It’s evident that Vivien has lots of experience with dogs. Would definitely leave Ringo with Vivien again. Thanks a lot!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, looking after not only my own pets but also those of neighbours, friends, and family. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, drop-in visits, and overnight stays, ensuring pets feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m also a proud dog owner myself. My 8-year-old French Bulldog, Monty, has taught me just how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable to care for your pet. I treat every dog as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention, affection, and personalised care to suit their individual needs. As I work remotely and manage my own schedule, I have the flexibility to be available for daytime walks, drop-in visits, companionship throughout the day, and overnight stays. This allows me to give your pet the time, care, and attention they deserve while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I work remotely and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to plan my day around the needs of the pets I’m caring for, whether that’s morning walks, daytime check-ins, playtime, feeding, or overnight stays. As a dog owner myself, caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life. I enjoy being active outdoors and spending time with dogs, so making sure they receive plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship throughout the day is something I genuinely enjoy. My flexible working hours also mean I can adapt to your pet’s usual routine and provide consistent, reliable care while you’re away. I provide pet care both in the owner’s home and, where suitable, in my own home. I generally prefer caring for pets in their own home, as it keeps them in a familiar, comfortable, and low-stress environment and allows them to maintain their normal routine. I also have an 8-year-old French Bulldog, so my home is shared with another friendly dog, which can be a great fit for sociable pets. At my home, I have a secure fenced front and back garden with space for dogs to play and go to the bathroom, as well as close access to local walking trails for regular walks and exercise. For boarding, I can also offer stays at a second, dog-free home when needed, providing a calm environment for pets who prefer space without other dogs around. In all cases, my priority is making sure each pet feels safe, settled, and well cared for, with plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship.
“As usual Allessandea was on time and Milo greeted her with much enthusiasm. I received lots of updates and photos whilst we where away for the night meaning I could relax and enjoy our event. It is always a pleasure to see Alessandra and know that Milo is in good hands and happy to stay with her.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Denbighshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
