“Excellent service. Joshua was extremely knowledgeable on caring for Ronnie. Ronnie was relaxed on my return. He obviously loves dogs and he was able to advise me about Ronnie's separation anxiety. I highly recommend Joshua and will certainly use his services again. Thank you.”

“We haven’t needed a sitter for a couple of months so it had been a while since Molly had seen Katie, but that didn’t matter because the moment Molly saw her she recognised her and started doing zoomies around the house. Katie took great care of her as always.”

“This is our second booking with Lara and overall; fantastic! Our little girl was clearly loved and happy with Lara keeping her company whilst we were away for a few days. Her routine was followed, she was brushed (as a cocker spaniel it’s easy to see if she hasn’t been brushed) and she was comfortable, as demonstrated by the regular pictures we were sent. The house was clean and tidy and nothing was out of place, thanks Lara”

“Daisy was absolutely brilliant with Robbie, she was patient and so kind with our very elderly Shih Tzu and sent photos and messages to let us know how they were getting on as it was his first time leaving him in our new home. This was very much appreciated. I would totally recommend Daisy to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to ask her to care for Robbie again. She is really lovely and obviously cares very much about animals.”

“Serena has stayed at our house on 2 occasions now to look after our puppy Luna. She is really attentive and caring. She provides us with regular updates and photos on how lunas doing, updating us on walks and doesn’t hesitate to ask anything unsure of. We feel reassured when we’re away that Luna is in good hands :) we would of course recommend her service. Great communication throughout :)”

“This was the first time that we had ever left Meg for a day. let alone 2 weeks. Rhiannon, our sitter was amazing, we just knew as soon as she met Meg that all would be ok. Meg absolutely loved Rhiannon and we received Meg updates and photographs on a regular basis, this totally put our minds at rest. I almost didn't share my feedback as I want to keep Rhiannon all to myself, but if you are looking for a fabulous person to look after your fluffy loved one then you will not go far wrong with Rhiannon.”
“Tarrah, you are very welcome to come and look after my fur babies. Attentive to my animals. Shared plenty of videos and pictures. Clean and tidy. Great warm, friendly sitter. Thank you”

I can also crate your pup if needed and follow any routine you provide.

About: I’ve had pets all my life and dogs are a huge part of that. Very experienced living with all kinds of dogs. Experience walking and dog sitting. I am currently not working and live with my parents who are retired. There is always at least one of us at home. We go on at least 1 dog walk daily, usually more. I have a detached house with a secure, fenced, garden. Pets in our house are treated with a lot of care and a welcome inside at all times and on beds/sofas, for example.
“Will minded my dog in my home for 3 nights. I couldn’t be happier with the service provided. I came back to a very settled and happy dog. I got regular updates from Will about how the dog was getting on. I will 100% be using Will’s excellent services again!”

“Dana was amazing with Bodhi! Dana came to meet Bodhi the week before so we could go through everything as Bodhi has some specific needs. On the day Dana kept us updated with photo, videos and messages of how Bodhi was getting on. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years, looking after not only my own pets but also those of neighbours, friends, and family. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, drop-in visits, and overnight stays, ensuring pets feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m also a proud dog owner myself. My 8-year-old French Bulldog, Monty, has taught me just how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable to care for your pet. I treat every dog as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention, affection, and personalised care to suit their individual needs. As I work remotely and manage my own schedule, I have the flexibility to be available for daytime walks, drop-in visits, companionship throughout the day, and overnight stays. This allows me to give your pet the time, care, and attention they deserve while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I work remotely and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to plan my day around the needs of the pets I’m caring for, whether that’s morning walks, daytime check-ins, playtime, feeding, or overnight stays. As a dog owner myself, caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life. I enjoy being active outdoors and spending time with dogs, so making sure they receive plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship throughout the day is something I genuinely enjoy. My flexible working hours also mean I can adapt to your pet’s usual routine and provide consistent, reliable care while you’re away. I provide pet care both in the owner’s home and, where suitable, in my own home. I generally prefer caring for pets in their own home, as it keeps them in a familiar, comfortable, and low-stress environment and allows them to maintain their normal routine. I also have an 8-year-old French Bulldog, so my home is shared with another friendly dog, which can be a great fit for sociable pets. At my home, I have a secure fenced front and back garden with space for dogs to play and go to the bathroom, as well as close access to local walking trails for regular walks and exercise. For boarding, I can also offer stays at a second, dog-free home when needed, providing a calm environment for pets who prefer space without other dogs around. In all cases, my priority is making sure each pet feels safe, settled, and well cared for, with plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship.
“Stan had a wonderful few days with Ben and Alessandra. They messaged us frequently with reassuring updates and photos of Stan. Our home was very tidy when we returned to it too. We'd highly recommend Ben and Alessandra and will definitely use them again.”

Jessica was brilliant with my 6 month old pup, and clearly loved her time with him, he loved her too! You can tell Jessica really loves animals and is really kind and caring. She sent me lots of photos during the day and spent lots of time playing and giving our pup some quality time. Jessica was really responsive to messages, super friendly and eased any anxieties I had about leaving our pup with someone new for the first time.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Denbighshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
