After being let down by another sitter we contacted Emma and she was able to help on very short notice, even fitting in a meet and greet with our dogs. My youngest dog is historically very prickly with strangers in the home but he took to Emma straight away and they all had a peaceful time together with lots of contact and pictures to ease my mind while I was out. Would highly recommend and will be inviting Emma round again!

Excellent service. Joshua was extremely knowledgeable on caring for Ronnie. Ronnie was relaxed on my return. He obviously loves dogs and he was able to advise me about Ronnie's separation anxiety. I highly recommend Joshua and will certainly use his services again. Thank you.

Serena has stayed at our house on 2 occasions now to look after our puppy Luna. She is really attentive and caring. She provides us with regular updates and photos on how lunas doing, updating us on walks and doesn’t hesitate to ask anything unsure of. We feel reassured when we’re away that Luna is in good hands :) we would of course recommend her service. Great communication throughout :)

Katie has been unbelievably great with Molly. Molly has been dealing with a lot of anxiety so leaving her for the night was a worry. But Molly loves Katie, she has been amazing at keeping Mol relaxed and reassured. Excellent communication throughout the stay, all round great sitter.

Tarrah was great. Would highly recommend. She immediately created a rapport with the dogs and wanted to get to know their personalities. She took them on long walks and kept us well informed with lots of photos. Also took good care of our rabbits.

Lara was an absolute life saver for us. We needed a sitter to look after our dog whilst my husband and I were in hospital for the birth of our son, so were unable to give an exact indication of when we needed a sitter or for how long but Lara was incredibly accommodating and able to rearrange her own plans to suit us last minute. She was very polite, communication was clear and I felt confident that our dog was being well cared for whilst we were away, with photos being sent periodically for reassurance. We were lucky to have found Lara - I couldn't fault the service and would definitely recommend to others.

This was the first time that we had ever left Meg for a day. let alone 2 weeks. Rhiannon, our sitter was amazing, we just knew as soon as she met Meg that all would be ok. Meg absolutely loved Rhiannon and we received Meg updates and photographs on a regular basis, this totally put our minds at rest. I almost didn't share my feedback as I want to keep Rhiannon all to myself, but if you are looking for a fabulous person to look after your fluffy loved one then you will not go far wrong with Rhiannon.

Will is a kind and gentle person that you can trust to care for your animals in your home. We're so pleased to have found him, he's an excellent house guest and we came home to happy pets. Will looked after our 3 dogs and cat, gave us lots of updates and photos of the animals and puts us at ease as pet parents. We have an elderly dog, 2 rescue 2 year old dogs and a rescue cat and Will met all their individual needs. He's built a lovely relationship with all the animals and we look forward to him caring for our pets again, thabk you Will! 🙏🏻

About: Dedicated to your pet always, you can be reassured they will be in safe hands with me. I am an animal lover who has been lucky enough to have grown up around pets with many different personalities, so I am naturally drawn to looking after their needs. I love being a dog sitter & grateful for the little friends I've met along the way! I have happily cared for family pets when they were working or on holiday. Since being young I have looked after pets from taking them for walks, playing to feeding them at suitable times. It has always mattered to me that they are being well cared for. I volunteered at an animal sanctuary in Thailand looking after rescue dogs and elephants. It was an amazing experience that I would love to do again! I will take good care of your pet with patience, love and commitment. I can't wait to meet them! I am currently self employed and the type of work I do is remote. Therefore I can choose my hours and take my work with me if needed. I have a fenced garden and a cosy bedroom that is very suitable for dogs. My home is spacious and your dog would have flexibility to wonder around.

About: I've grown up around dogs since I was a baby and have a natural bond with them. Now 24, I’ve been caring for dogs professionally for over 5 years—especially large breeds. Friends, family, and clients trust me to walk, feed, and bathe their dogs, and I always treat them like my own. I'm confident, calm, and experienced in handling all temperaments and sizes. I do pet care full time alongside running my online business from home, which means I’m around all day to give your pets constant attention, playtime, and care. I'm also flexible for walks, check-ins, and boarding throughout the week and weekends. I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment where your dog will feel right at home. I can also crate your pup if needed and follow any routine you provide.

About: I’ve been taking care of Beau since I got him nine years ago, he’s my precious boy. He spends most of his day having naps on the sofa. I travel often but have loads of time at home when I’m not abroad. Your pups will be well looked after and crated should they need to be left unattended. We are located on nine acres so there is plenty of room to run, play, and sniff. On warm days we get lots of sunshine in the front garden and it’s great for sunbathing or an afternoon nap. The property is fenced in, we keep few pet sheep and a pygmy goat, and have no children.

About: 🐾 Who’s looking after your pet while you’re away? If your answer is: “someone who loves animals”… that’s lovely. If your answer is: “a veterinary surgeon”, that’s a whole different level of peace of mind. Hi, I’m Ana, a qualified veterinary surgeon offering professional pet sitting in your pet’s own home. Whether your companion is young, elderly, recovering from surgery, anxious, diabetic, epileptic, arthritic, on multiple medications, or simply needs someone experienced, they will receive knowledgeable, compassionate care, not guesswork. I can confidently: • Administer medications (including injections where needed) • Monitor ongoing medical conditions • Recognise subtle signs that something isn’t right • Respond quickly and appropriately if problems arise • Follow complex treatment plans precisely • Care for senior pets and those with special needs Of course, it’s not all medicine! Every pet also gets plenty of cuddles, enrichment, playtime, walks, and the individual attention they deserve. Their routine stays as normal as possible, helping them feel relaxed and secure while you’re away. Because pet sitting isn’t just about feeding and walking. It’s about knowing when everything is fine… and recognising immediately when it isn’t. Your pet deserves expert care. You deserve complete peace of mind I’m at home majority of time. Happy to play and interact full time with the pets in a safe an stimulant way. If left alone for short periods (example pick up groceries) there are interactive cameras inside and outside the premises, also crates will be used to prevent accidents while away. All the activities including: play time, napping, eating will happen in the conservatory and back yard or my bungalow. At least 2 walks a day. The backyard is fully fenced with wood panel of about 2m tall. Dogs who are unsociable/untrained/young/traumatized will require separate accommodation inside the house, away from the rest of the pets. This will incur in 50% safety fee on top of normal rates.

About: I’ve had pets all my life and dogs are a huge part of that. Very experienced living with all kinds of dogs. Experience walking and dog sitting. I am currently not working and live with my parents who are retired. There is always at least one of us at home. We go on at least 1 dog walk daily, usually more. I have a detached house with a secure, fenced, garden. Pets in our house are treated with a lot of care and a welcome inside at all times and on beds/sofas, for example.

Dana is incredible, we can't say enough to give her the credit she deserves. Peggy and Bob had just moved to the UK all the way from Canada and only had a few days to settle in to a new home after a long journey. Dana made them feel so comfortable while we were away for a wedding and had such great communication with us through the stay. She kept us updated on how they were doing and sent us lots of pics and videos which was so sweet and let us now they were in loving hands and we could relax and enjoy the wedding. Dana surpassed every aspect you could want from a pet sitter and we highly recommend her services to everyone on here. We will definitely be looking to book her services again. On top of everything great that Dana did for us and our pets she even left us an adorable Polaroid picture of Bob and Peggy that we will cherish forever. Thank you so much Dana. Bob and Peggy say they love you and can't wait to see you again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Denbighshire on Rover is £46 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 783 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Denbighshire. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Denbighshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Denbighshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
