“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter with Lara. She looked after our two pugs and our tortoise for a full week while staying in our home, and we returned to happy, relaxed pets and a spotless house. It was clear from the start how much she genuinely loves animals. Our pugs absolutely adored her, and it was reassuring to know they were receiving so much attention, affection and care while we were away. She also made sure our tortoise was well looked after and kept to his usual routine. Communication throughout the week was excellent. She was always responsive to messages and regularly kept us updated with photos and updates, which gave us real peace of mind. We were also incredibly impressed with how clean and tidy she kept our home. Everything was exactly as we left it, if not tidier! We would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring and professional pet sitter, and we wouldn't hesitate to book her again in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our pets and our home. 🐾”

Hard to let go after that long! :) I work from home and would be able to keep a loving eye on any pet staying with us, plus give them regular walkies and play times. Just reach out to see if I'm available as the Rover calender seems to be glitching and isn't letting me input my availability as I'd like it to...hopefully will get it sorted soon though, thank you for your patience! I make sure your beloved pets have everything they need at the right times and will be happy to go above and beyond to make sure they are kept happy and comfy, happy to follow any specific instructions provided!
“Holly is an absolute pleasure. She is courteous, kind and very caring. She embodies absolutely EVERYTHING you would want to have in a dog sitter. An absolute dream, honestly. Very tidy too. Looked after Alfie amazingly. I’m over the moon that she is having him again. Highly recommend (although I don’t want to lose her 😥). But seriously she is perfect. Such a delightful person.”

I love walking and would love a companion to join me :) I will be available on weekends (Fri - Sun) all day as well as evenings 4:30pm onwards, so loads of time to care for your animals! About: I've loved being around dogs for most of my life. I grew up with a family dog, regularly care for my parents' dog and as a teenager I worked in a dog kennels. This is where I've gained the most experience caring for dogs with different personalities, needs and routines. Professionally, I have worked as a nanny for over 10 years. Providing attentive, reliable care comes naturally to me. My role requires patience, responsibility and the ability to quickly build trust, which are qualities I bring to caring for pets as well. I understand how important it is for owners to know their dog is safe, happy and well looked after. Whether your dog enjoys walks, playtime, companionship or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'm happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. I'll also keep you updated so you can feel confident and reassured while you're away. I treat every dog as if they were part of my own family and look forward to providing them with a safe, caring and enjoyable experience. Pet care fits easily into my routine as I currently only work one day a week. This gives me plenty of flexibility and availability throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, daycare and pet sitting. I'm able to dedicate time and attention to each pet's individual needs. Regular exercise, playtime, companionship, feeding routines or simply providing a calm and caring presence. I understand how important consistency is for pets and will do my best to maintain their usual routine while they're in my care. When caring for pets in their owner's home, I aim to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I understand that pets are often most comfortable in familiar surroundings, so I follow the owner's instructions carefully regarding feeding, exercise, medication and any other specific needs. Safety and wellbeing are always my priority. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality, adapting to their individual needs.

“This was the first time that we had ever left Meg for a day. let alone 2 weeks. Rhiannon, our sitter was amazing, we just knew as soon as she met Meg that all would be ok. Meg absolutely loved Rhiannon and we received Meg updates and photographs on a regular basis, this totally put our minds at rest. I almost didn't share my feedback as I want to keep Rhiannon all to myself, but if you are looking for a fabulous person to look after your fluffy loved one then you will not go far wrong with Rhiannon.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Conwy walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Conwy choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
