She has undertaken her canine first aid certification, and is a knowledgeable, vigilant and competent first aider and care giver. She has excellent breed knowledge, and insight into different breed behaviours. I can not recommend her highly enough.”

“I live in Fulham, in South West London. Taking the time to look after Ceaser: my energetic huskey, is hard enough even when I have free time at the weekends! I got recommended Billy from a friend of a friend, and Ceaser took an instant liking to him. Which came as a welcome suprise, becuase he can be fussy with his humans! Perhaps dogs are a better judge of character than us. Regardless of which, Billy was great with him, he was always available even when I didn't give him fair warning and Ceaser loves him which is the greatest praise I can give. Billy himself was very easy to talk to and get on with. Of all the half a dozen or so dogsitters I've had for Ceaser, I will happily say he was in the top 2 I've hired - perhaps even the best. If he ever moves back down London I will easily give him a call whenever he is available.”

“Teddy and Doug had obviously been very well looked after by Gemma for the 3 nights that we were away. She updated us regularly with photographs and videos which was reassuring and both dogs looked like they were having a good time with longer walks for Teddy which he enjoys. She is very caring and was happy to let Teddy sleep on the bed which he is used to. Excellent communication before her stay in our house with a visit to meet us. Would highly recommend Gemma for dog care.”

About: Knowledge and experience from work within a daycare, with multiple breeds of different ages and different personalities. I have experience within a rescue centre and also doing my own dog walking, dealing with different routines, behaviours and catering to different dogs and their owners. I’m soon to go part time in my other job and being able to work flexible around that would benefit me, I will be working 3 days there. I would ensure I follow all instructions set out by the owner, ensuring the dogs safety as best I can and taking extra measures to keep them happy and safe where needed incase of emergencies.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was in primary school. My first pet was gifted to me for Christmas, he was a beautiful cream point Siamese boy. I fell in love instantly and doted on him, we then adopted my nans Siamese boy so he came to live with us and it was great to have a friend for my boy. Sadly he passed away and I was heartbroken and couldn’t imagine having another cat after him. After some time, I was yearning for another cat so I finally decided on a beautiful seal point Ragdoll boy named Cali. He has been my main experience with pets as he is completely mine. I treat him like he’s my baby, I put his needs first and make sure he has everything he needs to be happy and healthy. We also have a dog in the house, his name is Huncho and he is a Chowski (Chow and Husky mix). He’s a big boy who is very protective, proud and loves peanut butter. My main experience with dogs is with him, it was a big shock as he’s a huge dog but he gets on with the cat (the cat is actually the boss) so I love him. I have also taken care of my friends dogs for the day, caring for them, cleaning up after them and making sure their needs some first. I’m currently having a break from work, so I have more free time than I am used to. Looking after animals would be a lovely way to use my time. I believe there has to be trust built between humans and animals, especially when entering their homes. Building that relationship is critical, more so with dogs but also cats can be scared at first. It’s about making them comfortable and showing them you’re on their side. Making sure they have water and feeding them correctly according to their schedule, having play time if the pet initiates and ensuring they are taken out for toilet breaks (applies to dog) / clean their litter if soiled (applies to cats).
