“We were very happy with the care and attention Yan gave our cats and house while we were on holiday. She provided excellent cat sitting duties- the cats loved her! Would definitely use her again and I have no hesitation to recommend her to anyone. Thanks again David”

“Amazing!!! Rob was fantastic sitting both my cats, he was also very respectful of my house, and when I got home both my cats seemed really happy, chilled and stress free which is very important to me as my cats mean the world to me... Thank you Rob for everything, will definitely book with you again 😁”

“Karen was incredible, she was so calm and considerate around Pearl who can be nervous and bark at new people. Karen took the time to let Pearl get to know her and they bonded very fast! Pearl was looked after amazingly well and we felt so comfortable leaving Pearl and the house with Karen while we were away. Could not recommend Karen enough! And I’m sure Pearl can’t wait to have her back soon. 🐾”

“Second time in 2 days we used Nicola as mentioned in previous review she was wonderful with our dog. Just felt so relaxed leaving them together. Ruby had a great evening with Nicola don’t think Ruby missed us one bit which is great, highly recommended will definitely be using Nicola again”

“India was fantastic! She communicated with us brilliantly, from making arrangements to for a meet and greet to sending us multiple daily photos and updates of what Peanut was up to while we were away. We felt our dog and our home was in really safe hands the whole time we were away, Peanut loved her and we won’t hesitate to book her again.”

About: I've taken care of dogs for over 10 years. Currently have a 6 and 1/2 year old beagle who would love some company and make new friends. I currently work full time so can only offer weekend boarding, walking or drop in service unless during school holidays where availability is more flexible. I have a large, enclosed back yard which is large enough for a good run around and play as well as being near 2 local parks. Your pet will get a fun, active environment as we as the company of another fur baby.
“Natalie was amazing she house sit my two dogs for 10 nights. She update me daily with photos of them both, which puts your mind at ease when your away. When I got back both of them really happy. Even Chase was happy and normal he is sad when we go away and come back. I would recommend Natalie to everyone. Will be definitely booking her again”

“My 8 year old labrador loved spending the day with Dana! Dana was punctual, extremely polite and kind and sent updates throughout the day. I came home to a very happy dog and would highly recommend Dana.”

About: I’m 18 years old and have grown up with 3 different dogs since I was 8 years old. Through my own personal experience with family dogs, I’ve gained plenty of confidence and independence from my responsibilities walking my dog, feeding, bathing, dog-proofing the house, playing, etc etc. I also have a strong knowledge of certain precautions you may need to take depending on the dog, for example my dog, Karmel, is an anxious, quite barky lurcher who can get too playful with other dogs and therefore I take extra care on walks when she’s saying hello at the dog park, and have dealt with aggressive dogs barking and jumping at her before. My family have also done borrow my doggy beforehand so I’ve met and looked after a range of different dogs, adding to my experience and knowledge of how to take care of them. I’m currently on a gap year so I’m almost fully flexible at the moment (I have some tutoring jobs), so pet care fits in perfectly for me as it’s something I’m genuinely passionate and excited about, and something I definitely have the time and love for! :) I would not be able to bring other pets into my home due to owning a dog myself that can be quite hot and cold with other dogs and therefore I don’t fully trust her getting along with a new dog in the house.
About: Hi there! I’m Matei, a dedicated pet sitter who treats every furry guest like family. I live in a pet-friendly building that’s truly a dream for animals — complete with an enclosed garden downstairs, a rooftop terrace where pups can enjoy fresh air and sunshine, and even an on-site pet spa for extra pampering! Whether your pet loves playtime, quiet cuddles, or scenic walks, I tailor each stay to their personality and needs. I keep a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for — just like at home. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your furry friend is happy and in good hands. Services I offer: 🐶 Dog boarding & daycare 🐕🦺 Dog walks & drop-in visits 🐱 Cat care 💊 Medication administration (if needed) 🧼 Grooming and wash & dry services I’m committed to providing top-notch care, clear communication, and peace of mind — because your pet deserves the best. Let’s schedule a meet & greet and see if we’re the perfect match! 🐾 Pet care is a natural and enjoyable part of my everyday routine. I structure my days around the pets I host — starting each morning with walks, feeding, and playtime, and keeping plenty of breaks throughout the day for attention, cuddles, and outdoor time. Since I work from home (or adjust if you don’t), I’m around to give pets constant care and supervision. Our building’s pet-friendly spaces — including the enclosed garden, rooftop terrace, and pet spa — make it easy to keep them active, relaxed, and happy throughout the day. In the evenings, I make sure everyone gets one last round of outdoor time, dinner, and lots of affection before winding down for a calm night. Caring for pets isn’t just a task for me — it’s part of my lifestyle and something I truly enjoy every day. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they feel completely safe, comfortable, and loved from the moment they arrive. I keep a calm, clean environment and tailor each pet’s routine to match what they’re used to at home — including their feeding schedule, walks, and preferred play or rest times. Our building is wonderfully pet-friendly, with an enclosed garden downstairs for safe outdoor time, a rooftop terrace for fresh air and sunshine, and even an on-site pet spa for extra pampering. Pets have plenty of space to relax or play, and I’m always nearby to give them attention and supervision throughout the day. When I care for pets in an owner’s home, I do my best to maintain their regular routine and environment so they feel secure and happy. I follow all care instructions closely — from feeding and walks to medication and bedtime habits — and make sure the home is left tidy and cared for. In both cases, communication is key: I send daily photo and video updates so you can see how your pet is doing and feel completely at ease while you’re away.
“Molly was so calm and relaxed throughout and kept us reassured that Ramsay was on his best behaviour. Clearly has experience with bigger dogs which was helpful with our big boisterous puppy. Definitely will book again!”

“Lily was absolutely wonderful looking after my cat, Dennis. She kept me updated throughout with regular messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Dennis was happy, comfortable, and very well cared for. Lily is lovely, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She also left my home spotless and tidy, which was greatly appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you, Lily!”

About: Hey! My name was Ellie but I go by Elijah. I have had/cared for animals all my life since I was 3 years old. From dogs of all sizes to cats, birds, rabbits and hamsters. I have been trusted on to not only care for these animals but feed, walk, train, bathe and be a companion for all these animals and above all else love them. I have some experience within training dogs, I am persistent and quickly gain their trust. I really sense that animals know that I am a loving person and I quickly put them at ease. I am patient and confident with all breads, and I know that every dog is individual, and id genuinely treat all animals with the love and respect as if they were my own. I’m currently working self employed but the hours are short, 3 days a week, 4 hours a day. so I will definitely have plenty of time to play and look after your furry friends. I will follow any set instructions, left by the owner, and assure any special requests are met exactly as instructed, following a set routine that insures a healthy and happy pet and I want the owner to know I will treat them as my own and give the owners peace of mind.
“Joanne came to my house to meet my dogs before we finalised our booking and we had a lovely chat. My bouncy pups settled quickly while she was here which was a good sign! Joanne was really accommodating when I requested a couple of changes to our booking. Although nervous leaving the dogs initially, I was updated daily on how they were doing. When we collected them it was heartwarming to see them run back to Joanne while excitedly greeting us. Thanks again”

Couldn’t recommend Natalie anymore, literally covered with 12 hours notice and saved the day. Come for an intial introduction with Mimi and they got on from the off. Communication was brilliant throughout the stay with photo updates. Really managed to bond with the little time and managed to even get cuddles (rare from a chow). - house was left in perfect condition. Couldn’t recommend more and will 100% be using again.
Bei Bei was absolutely brilliant with my cockapoo Reggie She was friendly , happy , lovely , kind and treated Reggie as I do She sent lots of photos and videos of her and Jack out walking Reggie , playing and cuddling him , which put my mind at rest With it being Christmas, I was so grateful I found such a reliable friendly person I would definitely book Bei Bei again My Reggie was very quiet after we dropped Bei Bei and Jack off at the train station , he really was missing them both They both are a credit to your company Lesley & Reggie 🐾

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Knowsley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
