About: A few things about why I like to take care of pets, particularly of cats? This is just because I have a real, natural instinct and transparent purpose, as unfortunately I cannot have a cat due to my circumstances, however, I feel that something is missing so I found this more like a playful game for your pet, you and I. By spending high-quality time with them, so I can somehow fill that void of emptiness and need of having a pet (I would love a cat though) in my life. I would love to connect with every cat, but I reckon is not possible, because they are just cats, but I know I can do my best to gain at least their attention while you are away. I grew up surrounded by cats, always had cats around my home when I was a little and I have an immersive love for them! 🥰 Currently, I am offering services in Chester area (I can travel up to a max. 4-5 miles away). About: Growing up I never had a pet, I always wanted to have a four-legged friend. Since starting on Rover just under a year ago, I have had the pleasure of taking care of SO many dogs - all super kind and lovely. My partner and I both work from home and truly value the time we have with doggos whether its for daycare or long stays. They've been such a great source of joy and certainly a motivation for me to go for a walk, and get away from my desk! I had the joy of taking care of my partner’s family dogs initially whenever they are away on a trip (which has been fairly often!). They are 2 chihuahuas, Alfie and Nancy. Alfie was an elderly dog that required special attention through medication, regular cuddles, and feeding. I have also looked after my friend's puppy Hazel, a cocker spaniel, and went on long walks and trained her to play fetch and respond to commands like 'middle' and 'find'. My partner is also incredibly well accustomed to any dogs, he loves every dog he walks up to and has grown up around many dogs throughout his childhood and now into adulthood. About: My main experience with dogs comes from looking after my own dog, Stella, who sadly passed away earlier this year. For the last eight years, I was mainly responsible for looking after her while my parents were at work. This included feeding her, keeping her company, taking her for walks and making sure she was happy and well looked after. Towards the end of her life, Stella developed dementia, which also gave me experience with giving medication and recognising when she was unhappy or uncomfortable. I’m a caring and attentive person and genuinely love spending time with dogs, especially going on long walks with them. As I’m currently at university, I have a fairly flexible schedule. I’m only in lectures from 1–3pm on Mondays, 9am–3pm on Tuesdays and 9–11am on Fridays, so I’m often available for pet care and walks. If staying overnight, I’d also be able to balance my university work on my laptop while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention and care. I’m currently living in a student house, so I’m unable to have dogs stay at my home. I’m happy to provide care in your home, where your pet can stay in their own familiar and comfortable environment. I’m also happy to take dogs on walks and make sure they get plenty of attention and care while you’re away.
