“Absolutely brilliant, we can’t recommend Patka highly enough. Finley loved his time with her and was looked after to the highest standard. We felt very reassured knowing Patka was looking after him, and will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Tom was really amazing, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring sitter. Our dog obviously felt really comfortable and was excited to go back. Looking forward to next time.”

About: Cheshire West and Chester licence number - 26/AAL/HB/583061 (4 Star rating) We are lifelong pet lovers with 6+ years of experience caring for our family dogs. Whether your pup is a playful ball-chaser or a couch-snuggler, we’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I live in a [house/apartment with a fenced yard/near a park/etc.], perfect for walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member, so I provide regular updates, photos, and lots of love to give you peace of mind. We both work full time from home and have 2 teenage children, both at high school. We take our current dog for 2-3 walks per day around our local area. Your dogs well-being is always our number one priority. We maintain a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment where your furry friend can relax and enjoy their stay. Our home has a fenced & secure garden with plenty of space for play, rest, and cuddles. We closely follow each pet’s routine, from feeding schedules to medication needs, and we’re always mindful of special instructions. You can count on us for regular updates and photos so you feel connected while you’re away. Trust is everything when it comes to pet care, and I treat every dog like my own—with love, patience, and respect. You’ll have peace of mind knowing your pet is in safe, caring hands.
“Michael was very flexible and a responsive communicator. He looked after our dog during the day when we had a long day out with family and were worried about leaving her for too long. We needn’t have worried, she had a lovely time and he was very responsive to her needs. We got her back happy and relaxed, we would book with him again.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fiona was fantastic with Willow, and we would happily book with her again. We reached out with only a couple of days' notice when we were planning a visit to Chester Zoo, and Fiona was incredibly accommodating from the start. She was flexible with timings, allowing us to drop Willow off towards the later end of our agreed window and collect her at the latest possible time, which made planning our day so much easier. Throughout the process, Fiona was friendly, responsive, and easy to coordinate with. Willow spent the day with Fiona, her own dog Luna, and another dog she was caring for called Rosie. While we were naturally a little cautious about introducing Willow to new dogs, Fiona's confidence and experience gave us reassurance, and she was absolutely right. Luna and Rosie turned out to be the perfect companions for our energetic one-year-old Golden Retriever, providing a great balance of play and calmness throughout the day. Fiona kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which allowed us to see just how much fun Willow was having and helped us relax and enjoy our day out. The updates, combined with Fiona's obvious understanding of dog behaviour and group dynamics, gave us complete confidence that Willow was in excellent hands. The biggest sign of how successful the day was came when we picked Willow up. She was calm, happy, relaxed, and pleasantly tired after a day of fun and stimulation. It's clear that Fiona genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after and creates a safe, positive environment for them. If we're ever back in Chester, Fiona will be one of the first people we contact for dog care. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and caring sitter.”

Simply wonderful - Patricia is one of those people who absolutely adores animals. She is extremely professional, passionate and my dog absolutely loves her. She provided me with photos throughout the day; and I could tell me dog was having a wonderful time. Patricia made a huge effort to understand how she can give my dog the best possible care.

This was the first time we had left Misla with someone other than family or friends and we were nervous. However on meeting Bilgen we were soon put at our ease. She sent us a video and pictures of a happy Misla during the day while we are at a close friends 50th wedding anniversary celebration. On the basis of our experience we would highly recommend Bilgen. She helped make our day.

Rosie has really enjoyed her day care with Saskia, who was very accommodating in rearranging this day care from the 2nd to the 9th March. Saskia sent me photographs of her walk with Rosie, which was very reassuring and I could see clearly Rosie was very happy. Thank you Saskia I would highly recommend you and would not hesitate to use your services again in the future. A big thank you from Rosie. XX

Heather was exceptionally helpful throughout the process of using her service for the first time. She was very quick to respond to my messages to get my dog booked in for her first day in Heather's care, put my mind at ease straight away. She made everything very easy. Heather was brilliant on the day of looking after Ruby for the first time too. She was warm, accommodating and explained that she would update me throughout the day on how Ruby was getting on, which she did very thoroughly. She was very attentive to Ruby's needs. Will definitely be using your services again. Thank you! :)

We regularly send Pepper to Kirsty and it is one of the few places that we feel happy and confident that she is going to be well cared for whilst there! Pepper always gets so excited as soon as we pull outside as she knows where she is and pulls her way to the front door ready to greet Kirsty - would highly recommend!💛

We just want to say a big thank you to Amber! We felt very at ease leaving our dog Daisy with her. Amber kindly accepted Daisy at short notice and took the time to ensure she would get on with another dog she was already caring for, which we really appreciated. Daisy was taken on some lovely adventures around Chester and even came back washed down after a muddy walk, such a thoughtful touch. She seemed so happy and content (and tired) when we picked her up. We’d definitely recommend Amber to others and will absolutely be using her again in the future!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
