Since I'm currently on sabbatical, pet care isn't something I'm trying to squeeze into my routine—it is my routine, and I love it that way. Without the constraints of a traditional work schedule, I have the flexibility to be there whenever your pets need me. My days revolve around the animals in my care. Morning walks when the world is still quiet, midday play sessions when energy is high, evening cuddles when it's time to wind down—I structure my time around what your pets need to thrive. If your dog loves an early morning jog or your cat prefers interactive play at sunset, I'm there for it. I'm also available for last-minute bookings, extended stays, or those times when life throws you a curveball and you need someone reliable on short notice. Whether you need daily visits, overnight care, or someone to simply be present throughout the day, I have the time and dedication to give your pets consistent, unhurried attention.

Information Patricia P. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best possible care for your furry family members, I'd love to learn as much as possible about them before we start. Here's what helps me prepare: Health & Medical Needs: Any medications, allergies, chronic conditions, or dietary restrictions? I want to ensure I'm fully prepared to keep them healthy and comfortable. Personality & Quirks: Is your dog anxious during thunderstorms? Does your cat hide from strangers? Knowing their temperament helps me build trust quickly and avoid unnecessary stress. Behavioral Notes: Any triggers, fears, or special training commands I should know? Does your dog pull on the leash or have recall issues? Does your cat prefer to be left alone or constantly entertained? Routine & Preferences: What's their daily schedule like? Favorite toys, treats, or activities? The more I can mirror their normal routine, the more at ease they'll feel. Emergency Contacts: Your vet's information and any specific instructions in case of emergencies. The more I know, the better I can tailor my care to make your pets feel safe, happy, and loved.
A typical day
Mornings start with enthusiastic greetings and breakfast—because nothing beats the excitement of a wagging tail or happy meows at feeding time. For dogs, we head out for a morning walk or jog while the air is fresh, exploring new routes to keep things interesting. Cats get their morning play session with feather wands or laser pointers to satisfy their hunting instincts. Midday is for training games with dogs—practicing commands, learning new tricks, or simply playing fetch in the park. For cats, I refresh litter boxes, provide puzzle feeders, and offer cozy lap time for those who love to snuggle. Afternoons might include another walk for high-energy pups, grooming sessions (because everyone loves a good brush), or simply lounging together while I work on my laptop—your pets curled up beside me. Evenings wind down with dinner, gentle play, and plenty of cuddles. I'll send you photos and videos throughout the day so you can see all the joy and mischief. Before bed, it's one last potty break for dogs and quiet time for cats who prefer nighttime affection.

Pet care experience
My name is Patka (short for Patricia), and animals have been woven into the fabric of my life since childhood. Unfortunately, I had very bad experience with one of the pet owners recently, which reflects my rating. You can find more about the incident in one of my latest reviews. Every coin has two sides. I grew up in Prague surrounded by the gentle giants of the dog world—Caucasian Shepherds—and the elegant companionship of Persian cats. When my family moved to the countryside, I discovered my calling: rescuing cats from the bushes and giving them the love they deserved. At one point, our home was a joyful chaos of 7 dogs and 5 cats, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I've had the privilege of caring for breeds of all temperaments and sizes—from the powerful Cane Corso to the delicate Yorkshire Terrier, from playful Poodles and French Bulldogs to loyal Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs. When it comes to cats, I've loved them all—Siamese, Persian, Sphynx—though Maine Coons and Ragdolls hold a special place in my heart. Two years ago, I lost my soul dog, a Maltese rescue who taught me what unconditional love truly means. The ache of that loss reminds me every day how precious our time with our furry companions is, and it's made me even more devoted to ensuring every pet feels safe, loved, and cherished. Currently on sabbatical from my career in marketing and PR, I'm fully available to give your pets the attention they deserve. I'd love nothing more than to take your dogs on adventures through the neighborhood, engage your cats in playful sessions with their favorite toys, and shower them all with the affection and care they need while you're away. Your pets aren't just animals to me—they're family, and I'll treat them as such.

Reviews

Avoid at all costs. We dropped off our 2 dogs with Patricia, with the first thing to note that she lives with a partner that we did not notice in her description. Not an issue with a couple, but a lone woman would appreciate the heads up. He house was not ready for the 'bouncy boxer' we told her to expect - 1000 piece jigsaw at tail height, all black clothing... but none of that was an immediate worry. We left the dogs with her, all smiles, and drove 2 hours to a special birthday weekend away. On arrival, and on sitting down in the hotel, we found dozens of messages via the app on email. Patricia had invented an issue with our dogs to have them kicked out and was demanding we drove home to collect them. This was despite rover support being involved. Her messages were aggressive, endless and intimidating. We began to fear for our dogs. She accused me of being an irresponsible owner for not answering emails whilst I was driving the car... she seemed detached from the reality of the fact that I was driving, I was the contact and that she had an emergency phone number. She insisted we had lied that our dog was incontinent and 'leaking' urine. This has never been an issue at home, or with any of the in our home or in the sitters home carers. The vet has never been approached about any such issue. At no point did Patricia consider if this was new, it might be a veterinary emergency and seek help. She just abused us. Rover support tried to help, but in the end the abusive messages got too much and we begged a friend to help. When she collected the dogs she messaged us to say were clearly distressed, and when she walked them they needed to toilet so much that she was sure they hadn't been out all the time in Patricia's care. We rushed home the next morning straight after an early breakfast, not the relaxing treat we had hoped for or paid for to find one of our dogs flinching and terrified, so much so we had to take him to the vet the next day (Monday) for an examination for signs of abuse. Patricia endangered our dogs and ruined our weekend away. Our boys are nearly 11 and 13, they are good boys who just needed walks and to be safe. Patricia claimed to have experience of many dogs, but had kept a bouncy boxer in not just his collar in the house but his harness. he could have been seriously injured and every boxer owner knows never to have them in a collar inside the home. We have over the years used many dog sitters, they have always loved our boys. Many have been used repeatedly as they are welcomed back everywhere as good boys. This experience was horrific.

Patricia was perfect! Our little Pip adored her and felt like at home while we were away. She was very pampered. Patricia kept us updated with plenty of pictures. I highly recommend her, don't hesitate to choose her!

Patricia was amazing! Luna was well looked after, and was taken in many adventures every day! She was always looking forward to going to Patricia’s and was loving her stays there. I was also receiving regular updates and pictures during the day, which made me feel at ease, as it was luna’s first time with a doggy sitter. Highly recommend☺️

Buster had a great time. We were so grateful Patricia could accommodate him last minute while we were away for the week! We had regular updates and Buster was very well looked after x I would 100% recommend Patricia x thank you so much x
