“Rachel is really lovely and welcoming. Travis went running straight in and when I went to pick him up, he kept going back over to Rachel. I got updates throughout the day which is really reassuring and it is lovely to see that he is settled, comfortable and clearly being cared for to a high standard while with someone else. I would definitely recommend Rachel and use her again if I need someone!”

“Susan was a joy to have minding my 12 week old puppy. She invited us to meet her beforehand which gave us the confidence Ruby would be in very safe hands. Highly recommended 👌”

About: I grew up on a farm and love having pets around. My partner Ana had a similar childhood and became a Vet. Our friends leave their pets with us when they go on holidays, so we are used to having animals in and out of the house. We try to only have one family at a time to avoid unnecessary stress on pets that don't know eachother. I work fully remote with flexible hours. I can take your dog out for walks during the day or keep a close eye on your pet if required. Being separated from your pet can be stressful and we know that first hand, but they will be treated as family and we'll give you frequent updates throughout their stay. Though we will have to agree what too many updates would look like, so I don't end up spamming you with too many of them. We have a friendly neighbourhood and a fairly large fenced and secure garden which we are aiming to cat proof soon as well. We have our own cat, Lizzie, who is very clingy with everyone she meets.
“I left Marlo with Neuza for the first time just for a day visit and Neuza took great care of Marlo. This was his first stay with a dog sitter as he’s only 9mths old. She welcomed him into her home and showed me her lovely garden, all fenced and safe for Marlo to play. He had a good walk and instantly looked relaxed with her. Thank you Nueza for taking care of our puppy 🐶”

“My wee fur baby had a lovely day with Sharon at her home in Warrington. I had to drop her quite early in the morning and Sharon very flexible with drop off and pick up times and kept in communication throughout the day. Hope to use her services again and would recommend to others. Thanks ! :)”

“It was my first time using Ang for a meet-and-greet for Alice ahead of her boarding stay, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Alice was so settled and happy, which gave me great confidence that she was in the best hands. Ang was warm, welcoming, and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. I’m really pleased we found her and would happily recommend her doggy day care and boarding service to others.”

About: I had my beautiful border collie, Lily, for 13 years and sadly she had to be put to rest this year and we miss her so much. Lily was so energetic up to her last day and me and my partner (who you will see in the profile photos) would take her for walks 2-3 times a day and she always loved some playtime. So we are very much used to walks, plays and doggy routines which we are really missing! We will both give your pet the care, love and attention they need, whether that is cuddles and belly rubs or long walks and fetch. Me and my partner both work from home most days so there will always be one of us available to be at home. We like to take a walk in the morning or on our lunch break (sometimes both) and after work in the evening but we can work this around how much exercise your dog needs. We always have the time (even when working) to provide care and attention and we have a good sized garden for let outs whenever is needed! I will provide as much love, care and attention as possible, just like I would my own doggy! Any additional care needs will be catered for too.
“Wot can I say but a great big thankyou, richard loves coming to your home were he is made welcome and part of your family, videos and picture are amazing and he is having best time ever, chloe keeps me updated throughout his visit I am at ease whilst I am in work and richard having best time thankyou”

About: Hi everyone 😊 Dogs have always been huge part of my life. I grew up with a golden retriever who was my absolute world! For the last 5 years, i’ve been delivering dog therapy sessions to autistic children, but as our beautiful therapy dog has just retired I’m missing frequent dog company. Through work, I received therapy dog training and I’m very in tune with handling dogs and recognising their emotions and needs. I’m forever dog sitting and dog walking my family and friend’s dogs because I enjoy it. I’m really experienced in walking and caring for lots of different breeds and sizes of dogs and I can assure you your dog would be kept safe. Please message if you have any questions 😊 I work in a school during term-time which means I’m at home evenings and most weekends. I have school holidays off so have lots of availability then too. My partner sometimes work from home and he loves dogs (possibly more than he loves me!) so he can also offer services but these days will not be reflective in my calendar so please just ask if it’s short stays during weekdays that you’re after. I have a dog safe home with a ‘yarden’ that’s securely fenced. We have none of our own pets and no children so your dog would get extra attention! Your dog would receive lots of love and attention, and as much stimulation as they require. I love giving them lots of attention with cuddles and strokes- if that’s what they like. I’d make sure they don’t get bored and have regular toilet opportunities.
About: Hi there! Me and my family are dedicated pet sitters who treats every furry guest like family. We live in a pet-friendly detached house located in a quiet and safe house development. Pets can also enjoy fresh air and sunshine in the enclosed garden. Whether your pet loves playtime, quiet cuddles, or scenic walks, I tailor each stay to their personality and needs. I keep a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for — just like at home. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your furry friend is happy and in good hands. Services we offer: 🐶 Dog boarding & daycare 🐕🦺 Dog walks & drop-in visits 🐱 Cat care 💊 Medication administration (if needed) We’m committed to providing top-notch care, clear communication, and peace of mind. Pet care is a natural and enjoyable part of my everyday routine. I structure my days around the pets I host — starting each morning with walks, feeding, and playtime, and keeping plenty of breaks throughout the day for attention, cuddles, and outdoor time. I’m around the house to give pets constant care and supervision. In the evenings, I make sure everyone gets one last round of outdoor time, dinner, and lots of affection before winding down for a calm night. Caring for pets isn’t just a task for me — it’s part of my lifestyle and something I enjoy every day. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they feel completely safe, comfortable, and loved from the moment they arrive. I keep a calm, clean environment and tailor each pet’s routine to match what they’re used to at home — including their feeding schedule, walks, and preferred play or rest times. Our building is wonderfully pet-friendly, with an enclosed garden for fresh air and sunshine. Pets have plenty of space to relax or play, and I’m always nearby to give them attention and supervision throughout the day. When I care for pets in an owner’s home, I do my best to maintain their regular routine and environment so they feel secure and happy. I follow all care instructions closely — from feeding and walks to medication and bedtime habits — and make sure the home is left tidy and cared for.
“My dog Marshall had the best time with Pauline in her beautiful home. She really made it easy for him to settle and is such a lovely warm person, which in turn made it easier for me to leave him and get on with my day knowing he was happy. Highly recommended and Marshall will definitely be visiting again! Very happy customers here!”

“It was Rita’s first time with Yewen and Ollie. They made her so very welcome, went on walks, played ball and I was sent pictures and videos of the time she spent there. Thank you Yewen, we will see you next week”

“A big thank you to Helen and Alex for looking after our mini labradoodle Oscar on Sunday! It was Oscar’s first stay and he was made to feel so welcome and had a lovely day! Communication was great during the day, Oscar can’t wait to come back and stay in a couple of weeks!”
About: Having had dogs all my life I am most content snuggled up on the couch with my fur baby! I used to work away a lot and know how hard it can be to find a stable caring environment to leave your fur baby with. I offer a home from home environment for your beloved pet and guarantee lots of walks and cuddles! My own dog Tilly loves company and would be a great companion during your fur baby’s stay! I provide all the home comforts to ensure your pet doesn’t get too home sick!! I have been looking after dogs all my life and love nothing better than walking down the transpennine way which is situated at the bottom of my road. I offer over night boarding for as short or as long as is needed Monday to Sunday.
“Maryna is a really kind,,calm and patient lady who looked after Echo for several hours at short notice. She took him for a lovely walk in the nearby park and kept us regularly updated. Very responsive to our messages and extremely flexible with drop off and pick up times. I have no hesitation in recommending her to look after your dog. Thank you Maryna so much”

Last minute booking. Emily is a lifesaver. Fast response excellent communication. Oatis and Blake were immediately at ease and relaxed in her lovely home. Blake can be a bit boisterous but she handled him brilliantly. They slept like babies the minute they got home. Thank you Emily

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
