About: I’ve had my own two dogs for over six years and have always had a passion for working with animals. I completed a Level 2 qualification in Animal Management, where I developed my knowledge of animal welfare, behaviour and care. Since I was young, I’ve regularly looked after pets for family, friends and neighbours, including feeding, walking, playing and providing companionship. About: I grew up on a farm and love having pets around. My partner Ana had a similar childhood and became a Vet. Our friends leave their pets with us when they go on holidays, so we are used to having animals in and out of the house. We try to only have one family at a time to avoid unnecessary stress on pets that don't know eachother. I work fully remote with flexible hours. I can take your dog out for walks during the day or keep a close eye on your pet if required. Being separated from your pet can be stressful and we know that first hand, but they will be treated as family and we'll give you frequent updates throughout their stay. Though we will have to agree what too many updates would look like, so I don't end up spamming you with too many of them. We have a friendly neighbourhood and a fairly large fenced and secure garden which we are aiming to cat proof soon as well. We have our own cat, Lizzie, who is very clingy with everyone she meets.

About: This summer, I completed two house sits in the UK, one for 3 weeks and another for 5 weeks, caring for dogs throughout their stay. I also have experience dog walking for people during my time in the US.i Additionally I grew up with a Great Pyrenees as well as smaller dogs, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds. Currently, I only work evenings, and I have the flexibility to choose my own hours. I also run an online startup and do food deliveries by bike around lunchtime. Because of this, I’m hoping to do most of my pet care in the mornings. However, both of my other occupations are very flexible, so I can easily work around anyone’s needs and schedule! I think it’s really important to understand each dog’s individual routine, personality and personal space, especially when caring for them in their own home. I always take the time to understand their usual schedule, including walks, meals, playtime and rest. “Matthew was absolutely wonderful and we knew from our initial messages that he would take the utmost care or our cocker spaniel,Freya. We explained that we were travelling up from Portsmouth the evening before for my Mum’s funeral so we needed someone to spend the whole day ‘house sitting ‘. He arrived at 8 am and straight away I knew that he would be perfect . He was so sensitive and compassionate , offering sympathy and condolences for my loss. He immediately began interacting with Freya , who bonded with him really quickly. Throughout the day he sent ‘pupdates’ with superb pictures and videos of the two of them playing ‘fetch’ and doing tricks in the garden. He was fabulously understanding about the timescale of his stay , saying that he was happy to stay longer with Freya if needed whilst we attended Mum’s wake. When Matthew was leaving , Freya had formed such an attachment , she wanted to follow him and go with him !!🤣🐾 We cannot fault him at all.👍 He went ‘over and above’ what was required in putting us at ease and in making Freya’s day a lovely one . If we need a ‘house sitter’ when we return north we will have no hesitation in contacting Matt..He was brilliant ! Thankyou so much !!!🥰xx”

I have looked after dogs for over 5 years in my own home and at a boarding facility. These dogs all ranged in diffident sizes, temperaments and physical well being. If you dog needs medication administered i have 5 years experience in giving oral medication and injections if needed. I have looked after dogs who have come from hospice care, needing 24/7 help. All dogs are very much welcome to sleep on my bed and have access to dog beds (you are welcome to bring cages if needed), they are welcome on the couch, will have free range of the garden and will have 1-2 walks a day. I have a fully fenced in garden the dogs can run around in. I have 5 years experience administering oral and injectable medication, if this is something your dog needs I am happy to comply. When we go out on walks they wont be left off lead unless in a fully fenced in field. I also place 2 leads on each dog, 1 clipped to me and the other to the dog. If your dog requires a muzzle when out please provide this. I have "friendly" and "unfriendly" badges for dogs to wear to tell the public to stay away if needed. If your dog is not dog friendly, I can keep other dogs in my home separate, but all dogs in the home will still be getting lots of 1-1 attention
