My dog Marshall had the best time with Pauline in her beautiful home. She really made it easy for him to settle and is such a lovely warm person, which in turn made it easier for me to leave him and get on with my day knowing he was happy. Highly recommended and Marshall will definitely be visiting again! Very happy customers here!

Bree was completely lovely with my dog and her whole family made him feel welcome. He enjoyed spending time with their sweet doggie Peggy, had a walk in the woodland and came home happy and tired. Highly recommended.

About: I’ve come from a family of dog owners 5/6 at a time! Had my own little Maltese Marley for 14 years, he was the best. I now live in a large bungalow in a suburban part of Chester with two huge gardens, fields for days, long walks, short walks we can do it all! We also love a hike if any of your pups love a good bit of exercise. My boyfriend works full time in airbus and I am home 24/7 and would love to take care of your fur babies! I am a housemaker full time so I will have all the time in the world to spend with your fur babies! We have a lovely garden which is extremely peaceful, no loud noises, trees etc and lovely walks nearby. I have a large garden surrounded by large fences/bushes high up. I would love for you to give a personalised care plan for me to follow including how many walks, specific times etc I am fully flexible and therefore can cater time directly to taking care of your pet exactly how you/they like!

About: I have been walking my neighbourhood dogs for over 7 years, ranging from golden retrievers, to labradors, to collies, pointers, spaniels and more! I have experience with dog sitting, walking, and check ups as well as looking after my own dog (Bella) back home for over 5 years. I always go above and beyond for each pet, as I truly love and treat each and every one like they are my own. Adding in enrichment, activity, rest and games to each dogs day is something I take pride in, and approach with creativity! I provide lots of communication and updates if requested! Currently I am part time remotely employed so I can give each pet the best care possible and let their needs dictate my day. Whether that is cuddles on the couch or big adventures out and about, each experience is personalised and designed to maximise your pets day. I have a car, clean license and safety equipment for transport so if you would like your dog to explore the wider area I love to take them to different walks and scenic spots. Pets are never left alone, and always given the utmost care and attention. I rigorously follow all rules/recommendations from owners regarding what the dogs can/cannot do, and their feeding/walking schedule.

About: Hi, I’m Fiona. With 30 years experience looking after family dogs and 15 years looking after friend’s and neighbour’s cats I am extremely experienced. My special passion is caring for stray and rescue cats in both the UK and Morocco. I have cared for entire cat and kitten families including feeding, socialising, administering medication, monitoring their health and helping vulnerable kittens thrive. Working with stray cats has developed my patience and compassion and how to build trust with the most shy and scared of animals. Every animal has their own personality. I completely respect that some love attention, whilst some just like a calm and reassuring presence. Whether your pet is a rescue, elderly, shy or needs medication and special care, I will care for them like they are my own. My priority is to make your pet feel safe and loved and give you complete peace of mind when you’re away. Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you. I work from home 8-17:15 and can be available at the weekends as well. I can make time for your pet throughout the day. I can be free for boardings as well week days and weekends on request I have a small patio with large walls and fence. I have no pets of my own. My house is a small terrace so no where really for them to go walkabouts and I can safely keep an eye on them.

About: I have been an animal lover and had an interest in animal welfare since I was a child. I support a number of animal charities, have been vegetarian for 30 years and owned dogs for 35 years. All of my dogs have been rescues/unwanted dogs who came to me for their forever home. My two elderley dogs have passed away over the last 2 years so I currently have no pets in the home. I do now own 2 horses which is a significant financial responsibility so have decided not to take on any more pets for the time being. I do miss having a dog around the house. I work from home full time and own some land which is perfect for exercising dog so I do have a good lifestyle and environment for a canine companion! I have my own business which I run from home full time. I also own a 4 acre secure paddock where I keep my horses. It is perfect for exercising active dogs who need a good run or for dogs who are best excercised away from other dogs. I have a good sized secure garden and plenty of space within the home. I am usually home most of the day and evening. If i do need to go out its 2-3 hrs max. I use a reward based approach rather than disciplining dogs. I aim to provide a calm and engaging environment

About: We currently have a 6 year old French Bulldog who we adore deeply. Throughout my lifetime, I have looked after all sorts of breeds including Spaniels, Staffies and Rottweilers. I’m a natural dog person, confident with handling all sorts of dogs and diligent when it comes to making sure they get what they need. We have a good amount of space, a large garden and lots of places to go for walks. I work from home full-time and so can make sure your dog is never left alone. Our own French bulldog has previously undergone surgery and required hands-on care for IVDD and so I’m experienced with complex needs. Any dog staying with us would need to be friendly with our Frenchie. I have my own business and work from home full-time, so I can fit my schedule to your dog needs. This can include multiple walks a day, a long walk, cuddles on the sofa, playtime with our Frenchie and time alone to rest if that’s what they’re used to. I have a large downstairs space, a fenced garden and a separate office space which your dog is welcome to occupy at all times. Our Frenchie sleeps in a crate in the bedroom with us, we can arrange for your dog to sleep in the room too or downstairs depending on what they are used to.

Michael was just such a super dog sitter. He calmed down Tilly, who is a little sensitive when left and sent a lovely picture of both dogs fast asleep on his sofa. They were obviously completely relaxed. He had played in his garden with them which they must have loved. He was really kind and flexible about drop off and pick up knowing that I was seeing a play and meeting friends. I would recommend Michael to anyone wanting their dog to be carefully and sensitively looked after.

There are 2,380 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Cheshire West . About 86% of Cheshire West sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Cheshire West commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in North West England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
