About: I had my beautiful border collie, Lily, for 13 years and sadly she had to be put to rest this year and we miss her so much. Lily was so energetic up to her last day and me and my partner (who you will see in the profile photos) would take her for walks 2-3 times a day and she always loved some playtime. So we are very much used to walks, plays and doggy routines which we are really missing! We will both give your pet the care, love and attention they need, whether that is cuddles and belly rubs or long walks and fetch. Me and my partner both work from home most days so there will always be one of us available to be at home. We like to take a walk in the morning or on our lunch break (sometimes both) and after work in the evening but we can work this around how much exercise your dog needs. We always have the time (even when working) to provide care and attention and we have a good sized garden for let outs whenever is needed! I will provide as much love, care and attention as possible, just like I would my own doggy! Any additional care needs will be catered for too.
“Natalie stepped in last minute to look after our 3 cats when we were let down by our regular sitter. Fast to respond and very reliable. Even the timid one seemed to take to Natalie on her initial visit. We came home to a lovely clean area and happy cats! Thank you Natalie x”

“Molly was a great sitter, looked after my cat exactly the way I would have done it myself. I was always informed by text and photos, she was really professional. I hope to find her available next time when I travel as well, and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants their pets to be well looked after.”

“Would definitely rebook Amy again, she made the dogs feel safe and happy, was anxious about leaving them allday but Amy sent pictures and updates which made me happy knowing they was safe, so thank u Amy for yesterday if ever I need u again I will definitely book u .”

“Ria took excellent care of my Cats on her drop in visits. She kept me informed with daily updates and photos and even brought my bin wheelie bin in for me which was much appreciated! Would definitely use her services again. Highly recommended A**”

“Absolutely chuffed to bits with Nicola, first time using Rover but from start to finish Nicola was great, even taking the time to visit us beforehand and doing everything and more than was asked, highly recommended.”

“Aunty G is our furbabies best aunty, she takes them for long walks, plays with them, feeds them and they love her to bits. They are her friends for life, we couldn't wish for a better dog walker because if the dogs are happy we're happy.”

In the evenings, I make sure everyone gets one last round of outdoor time, dinner, and lots of affection before winding down for a calm night. Caring for pets isn’t just a task for me — it’s part of my lifestyle and something I enjoy every day. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they feel completely safe, comfortable, and loved from the moment they arrive. I keep a calm, clean environment and tailor each pet’s routine to match what they’re used to at home — including their feeding schedule, walks, and preferred play or rest times. “Lucy has been absolutely fantastic with Gretchin and really impressed us with how she has handled her. She has only recently moved house and is a very timid and anxious cat and Lucy was able to get her playing, something our friends struggled with when they used to watch her! She was always prompt to reply and very appreciative and understanding if we had any further requests. Highly recommend and we will certainly be using her again!”

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and have cared for them since I was very young. Coming from a big family with many cousins who also owned dogs, I’ve had the chance to look after pets of all sizes and personalities. Over the years, I’ve house-sat for friends and family, caring for both dogs and cats — sometimes up to four dogs and a cat at the same time. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, and giving each pet the attention they need to feel safe and happy. I also have experience caring for sick dogs, including administering oral medication as part of their routine. I recently moved from Argentina to the UK to continue my medical career and I’m currently studying for my exams. This means I have a flexible schedule during the week and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. Looking after animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so it’s the perfect way for me to stay active, de-stress, and earn a little extra while doing something I love. I can walk dogs regularly and also house sit in the owner’s home, making sure pets are happy, safe, and well looked after in their own familiar space. I follow each pet’s routine, whether that’s feeding, playtime, or medication if needed. My tenancy doesn’t allow pets in my own home, so I don’t host animals here, but I’d love to care for them in their own environment where they feel most comfortable.
“Hayley did an amazing job looking after my two junior cats. There was good communication and I came home to everywhere being spotless and two happy and relaxed cats I would definitely use her service again”

Animals are genuinely my passion — I treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them the same love, patience, and attention they get at home. What sets me apart? I take the time to learn each dog’s personality, quirks, and comfort zone. Whether it’s a shy pup needing slow introductions or a high-energy dog who loves long walks and playtime, I tailor every visit to what they need most. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine — I’m flexible, always available, and happy to take last-minute requests! Leung did a wonderful job looking after our cat Milo for 10 days. She followed all instructions to the letter and sent me lots of photos and updates every day. Milo clearly loved her because I received videos and photos of him showing her lots of affection. I definitely felt relieved that she was looking after him as if I was there myself and I was able to enjoy our holiday and not worry about him. I will definitely be hiring her again for our next holiday 🙂

Lucy took excellent care of Milo while we were away. She is very kind, friendly, and clearly loves animals❤️❤️. She kept us updated after every visit, which gave us great peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy our holiday. Milo’s food bowls and litter tray were always spotless, and when we returned home, Milo was healthy, relaxed, and very happy. It was obvious that he had been very well looked after.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I would highly recommend Lucy to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy pet sitter.❤️❤️❤️

Very friendly and experienced in pet care! She took care of Morty for two weeks and kept me updated each step of the way. Extremely nice and responsible, she kept me updated even for a few minute delays over the agreed times. Strongly recommend and will definitely reach out again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
