About: My current Rudy boy the cocker-spaniel has been with me for almost 3 years, I have been training him to become an assistantlce dog alongside a professional trainer. Rudy is very friendly and wants to meet everyone. Apart from this I currently work in assisted living supporting autistic individuals and people with various learning disabilities. I have grown up in a house with multiple pets and I am a lover of all animals. I will show your pet great care and attention and I am happy to listen to and help with any training points you are working on. I am currently working 2 days a week and other times I work from home. I can be an adventure seeker and I often take my Rudy out to the hills or into the ocean on the SUP for a paddle and a swim. I have a high walled back yard that is easy to access and lovely and quiet. Your pet would have the run of the house, they are allowed to cuddle up on the sofa and their is also enough room for them to be kept separate from the home pet Rudy or that could become the best of friends and play engagement games together or just cuddle up for a snooze.

“Oskar and Jo were amazing! The dogs had the best time with them! House was spotless, lots of photos and videos of the pair out and at home! Made us feel very at ease with the whole situation as we’ve not left them before whilst we go away! Massive thank you for making it so seamless, and would 100% recommend!”

About: I've have been taking care of dogs for about 10 years and recently I have also been taking care of reptiles and birds. I have a level 3 certificate in Animal management and care where I learnt and practised basic animal first aid and had to design and complete an animal training course. Due to owning two senior dogs and a young dog I have experience with all ages of dogs. I am now am now studying Zoology with animal management at a university degree level. I have also worked at a local pet shop that specialised in reptiles and birds where I learnt about behaviour and the first aid for those to groups of animals. I'm currently studying at Bangor university and have a infrequent schedule however most of days I only have about 3 hours of lectures and I'm able to do a range of times. My dogs have free range of our downstairs section of our house and garden, and they have two meals a day however I'm happy to do accomodate for any dietary restrictions or limitations around the house that you have for your pet's.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and have plenty of experience caring for them. I currently have a friendly Golden Retriever and work from home, so I’m around throughout the day to give your dog plenty of attention and company. I have a calm home environment and a secure, enclosed garden. Your dog will be well looked after & I will send regular updates of how they are getting on❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my routine, as I work from home and have plenty of time and flexibility throughout the day. I’m used to having dogs around and my own Golden Retriever is a big part of my daily life so caring for other pets fits well into my home and schedule. There's always someone around to give them attention, walks, and company. My home is a safe, dog-friendly environment with plenty of indoor space and a secure, enclosed garden for outdoor time. My Golden Retriever is gentle and sociable, providing great company for visiting dogs. I have experience with crate training too, so I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine to help them feel more comfortable and at ease.
“Rhiannon was fantastic. She embraced a last minute dog sitting for our large dog. She made the process very easy, was eager to know as much as possible about Bruce to maintain his usual routine and maintained communication and sent us pictures which really put us at ease. House was spotless and couldn’t fault her, highly recommend and Bruce looks forward to being looked after again in the near future. Thanks Rhiannon.”

About: caring for your pet as if they were my own. I know how hard it is to trust someone with your babies, that’s why I created coastal paws Anglesey, because I genuinely care and I would choose animals over humans every single time! Pet care is a central part of my daily routine and something I’m genuinely passionate about. My schedule is structured around providing reliable, consistent care for the dogs and pets I look after, including dedicated walking slots, home visits, feeding routines, enrichment, and plenty of attention. I keep my group walks small to ensure every dog receives proper care, supervision, and a calm environment. I’m also flexible where possible and understand how important reliability and communication are for pet owners. Safety, trust, and animal wellbeing are my biggest priorities. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine, behaviour, and individual needs so they feel comfortable and secure in my care. For dog walks, I keep groups small and structured to maintain a calm, safe environment and ensure every dog gets the attention they deserve. I always follow owner instructions carefully regarding leads, recall, feeding, medication, routines, and home access. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I treat both the pets and the property with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else, and I never take that responsibility lightly.
“Bianca took amazing care of our four cheeky fur babies in our home for two weeks and made everything easy and stress-free. Communication was smooth from the start - we got regular updates showing happy and healthy pups, and we felt like we could truly relax while being away. :) Bianca was calm, considerate of the girls' different needs, and left our house tidy (with a sweet welcome note, too!). We would happily recommend Bianca to others for her relaxed, caring and resourceful approach. :)”

“Ruby was superb, great communication, quick to respond and sent daily updates. Helped above and beyond as stayed longer when our flight was delayed. Visited prior, both house and Scarlett well cared for. Reliable, flexible and would certainly recommend. Many thanks Ruby!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter with Lara. She looked after our two pugs and our tortoise for a full week while staying in our home, and we returned to happy, relaxed pets and a spotless house. It was clear from the start how much she genuinely loves animals. Our pugs absolutely adored her, and it was reassuring to know they were receiving so much attention, affection and care while we were away. She also made sure our tortoise was well looked after and kept to his usual routine. Communication throughout the week was excellent. She was always responsive to messages and regularly kept us updated with photos and updates, which gave us real peace of mind. We were also incredibly impressed with how clean and tidy she kept our home. Everything was exactly as we left it, if not tidier! We would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring and professional pet sitter, and we wouldn't hesitate to book her again in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our pets and our home. 🐾”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
