Hands down THE best dog/cat/housesitter ever. A nicer more considerate person you will not meet. Bianca looked after my four bonkers Collies, and our three cats. When we got home the dogs were happy, calm and clearly extremely comfortable with Bianca. The cats too! She kept us updated on them whilst we were away which gave great comfort knowing they were having the best time so we could really relax and enjoy our holiday. Bianca is a well travelled, knowledgeable woman whose experience and empathy with animals is amazing. My colllies and cats absolutely loved her. Also the house was immaculate when we came home which with my four hairy dogs is no mean feat! Will definitely book Bianca again ☺️

Rhiannon was great, our dog loved her, she took him for some lovely walks, and sent great photos to show how he was enjoying himself, and of course he was happy with not having to leave home. We will be using her again🥰🥰

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, and small animals, and I genuinely love spending time with them. I’m confident with feeding routines, daily walks, administering basic medication, cleaning litter trays or cages, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, so I take the time to follow instructions carefully and keep routines consistent. Whether it’s energetic playtime, gentle companionship, or extra patience with anxious pets, I always treat animals as if they were my own. I work full-time during the week, but pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m happy to offer free pet checks and walks before and after working hours, and I can also pop in during the day between 9–5 when my schedule allows. From 12pm onwards on Fridays, I’m completely free, as well as all day on weekends, which means I can provide longer visits, multiple walks, or overnight care if needed. I’m reliable, organised, and used to planning my day around pets’ routines to make sure they get consistent care, attention, and companionship. I take safety, trust, and creating a calm environment very seriously. I live in a home with a secure, fenced garden, giving pets a safe space to play and relax. I usually have my own dog, Milo, a friendly Cavapoo who is great with other dogs and loves company — unless he’s off spending the weekend with my parents, who like to steal him for cuddles and coffee dates. I’m careful to follow each owner’s instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and make sure pets feel comfortable, secure, and genuinely at home while they’re in my care.

Maris is warm, friendly and professional. Made me feel at ease and came and met my dog before looking after him to make him and I feel at ease. Highly recommend.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Gwynedd walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Gwynedd choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
