“Angela (and Christian) was spectacularly good with our Yorkie/Maltese cross Poppy. Poppy could not have been in better hands. Thank you Angela and we feel very lucky to have been able to meet you through Rover!”

About: I have a natural love and passion for dogs. Not only have I had dogs all my life I currently have 2 English pointers, 2 Patterdale terriers and a Deutch Herder x. All very different but equally as loving. I know everyone’s dog is their pride and joy and I will treat every dog in my care as if it were my own. I’ve recently just moved home so I’m looking to set up my little dog walking business to fit in and around my own dogs, horses and little girl. I have a well fenced garden for the fur babies that need it equally I have some stunning free range fields we can walk in. My doggies at home will keep yours happy and play all day. Equally if they need to be walked seperate I have facilities to kennel or crate away and walk alone. If it’s just a drop in visit you require I offer 30 mins or 1 hour slots from your home.
About: I have 35 years of experience caring for my own, my family's, and my friends' pets. I have cared for all sorts of dogs, cats and small furries I will care for your pets like they were my own. I currently work for a vet two half days per week on a Tuesday and Thursday so I have plenty of spare time to take care of your like they are one of mine. Your pet will never be left alone for any significant length of time. I live in a securely fenced 2.5-acre semi-rural equestrian property. The large garden is also fenced for a smaller secure area, if your dog doesn't like the horses. Walks will be provided both in the morning and the evening each day. And I live half a mile from a very secure purpose-built dog paddock, if you would prefer me to take your pooch for an off-lead run. Your dog is welcome to snuggle on the sofa with me in the evenings, just like mine does! At night, the dogs will stay in a large garden room, either in or out of a crate, as per their preference. All feeding requirements can be catered for, and any oral medication needs can be administered. You are welcome to call or message anytime if you are feeling anxious about your pet, and I will send you regular updates if you would like them.
“Sonia and Mick looked after our Labradoodle Jess, for the second time this year, this time over the Christmas period, for which we were very grateful . Jess is always extremely well looked after , her feeding regime is strictly adhered to and we were very pleased to see that Jess was once again, put on a long lead when taken out on walks . We got photos of her over Christmas, where we could see she was very much a part of the family … many thanks to Sonia and Mick”

“Ffion looked after our little pug, George, for the evening and was absolutely wonderful. She was polite, friendly, and instantly made George feel comfortable—he took to her straight away. Throughout the evening, Ffion kept me updated with lovely pictures, which was very reassuring. George was walked, cared for, and clearly had a great time; he was full of energy and happiness when I picked him up. I couldn’t have asked for better care and will definitely be using Ffion’s services again.”

“Nothing but praise for Terry and Sue: Libby dog loved her stay and is missing her new friends. Pics sent of her relaxed and happy- walks on the beach etc. Libby is an elderly pooch and received 100% tlc so I cannot say a big enough 'thank you'”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have my own whippet puppy, so I know the ins and outs of daily care, training, and keeping pups happy. I’ve also helped neighbors and friends with pet sitting, which has given me plenty of hands-on experience. I’m confident with everything from walks and playtime to feeding and keeping dogs comfortable. I work remotely, which means I’m at home most of the time and can easily fit in walks, play, and cuddles throughout the day. My routine is flexible, so I can adapt to your pet’s needs. I always make sure pets feel safe and settled with plenty of love and attention. I’ll follow your routines closely so your dog feels right at home.
“Wonderful service, thoroughly recommended, and will defo book again. Bailey was well looked after and I was kept up to date with pics and messages which was very reassurance. Thank you Megan xxx”

“We couldn’t thank Jack enough for looking after our family Dog, Narla! We would 100% recommend him, we booked Jack quite last minute and he was very accommodating and I was able to meet and greet Jack in his home prior to Narla staying for the weekend, which put my mind at ease knowing she would be well looked after! Jack sent regular updates and photos throughout and treated Narla like his own! Thanks again, we will be rebooking 😊 x”

“Thanks again to Gabrielle for taking care of our Audrey, we got regular updates, our baby seemed super happy during her stay and even had a little cry when she left, she enjoyed it so much hanging out with her new girl mates 💗☺️ we will definitely will rebook soon! Highly recommend and can’t thank you enough!”

“Very friendly couple who love dogs. They looked after two dogs for us over a weekend. We were worried that our two would drive Nick mad, but they settled in no problem, which gave us plenty of comfort. Hope the review helps others. Cheers and woff woff.”

“Michael and Val, are honestly the best people we could have wished for our little cockapoo to spend some time with, they take her for loads of walks, playing ball and enjoying all her little traits. I cannot thank them enough for making our little dog so comfortable will not hesitate to use them again!!”

“Great, its the Second time you've had Stella and we felt happy knowing she would be well looked after and all her needs met. Cleary she was happy to stay with you both thank you again for having her back :)”

“Andy and his family have been super stars at welcoming Mouche for a weekend. He sent us many pictures attesting run at the park and walks. He is a very serious and reliable dogsitter, we won't hesitate to leave our little dog again with them. Plus she had such a great time, that was lovely to see. Many thanks again!”

“Saoirse was fantastic at looking after Milo for us. We received regular updates and photos, and he seemed like he had the best time staying with her. She took such good care of him and we can tell he was shown so much love and attention. I think he was a little sad his own holiday was over when we picked him up 🥲 Milo became very fond of Saoirse and we will be booking again for our next trip very soon and all future trips. 100% recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“My boy Teddy had the best time with Catarina. I don’t think he wanted to leave! It was very clear from the start how much Catarina loves and cares for dogs and it was an absolute pleasure meeting her two pups too. Communication was great and Catarina was extremely accommodating in terms of timings. The photos and videos we got are genuinely some of our favourite of Teddy. Thank you so much!”

“Joanne was excellent. She took great care of my dog. She kept in touch with updates and photos and I felt confident that my dog was happy in her care. My dog can show signs of anxiety, but he was calm relaxed and happy when he came home, so I know he had a good time. Thanks Joanne. You’re a star!”

“So happy that I booked with this lovely couple to look after my girls. I’ve never left them with anyone but my parents but when they couldn’t do it, the nerves kicked in. As a sitter on Rover myself, I spent some time looking for the right fit and praying it would work out. Kay and her husband were absolutely the right choice. My girls received so much love and affection and that was evident with the abundance of photos and videos that I received during their time there. If you are unsure who to book with, these are your sitters. BOOK THEM! You’ll be hard pushed to find anyone else who adores dogs more than this genuine couple. My girls even received a little gift in their food bag back with them. Thank you very much. X”

“Marianna has been an absolute godsent to us. We were initially apprehensive as Rupert has never stayed with anyone but ourselves so weren't sure how will he behave in a different house with someone he didn't know. However, in reality it was better than we expected. Marianna straight away found a connection with him, have been taking him for walks, spoiled with cuddles on the sofa in the evening ans he even made another doggy friend. It was great also to be updated and receiving pictures. We'll definitely book Marianna again and are now looking forward to little getaways. Thank you Marianna, you've been the best!”

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Wales may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
