During his day and overnight stay, I was kept regularly updated on how Opie was doing and what he was getting up to, which I really appreciated. It made me feel relaxed knowing he was in good hands. About: We have cared for family & friends’ dogs on numerous occasions, from Shih Tzus to Bernese Mountain cross Poodles! We are big walkers & live by the beach, so if you’re looking for someone to keep your dog active, look no further! We also love cuddles, so there’ll be no shortage of those! We have a very goofy 6 month old Golden Retriever who absolutely loves other dogs & would be over the moon to have a play date / friend to stay! He isn’t neutered yet, so please bear this in mind before requesting to book. Nat currently works from home & has flexible working hours, and Em works 3-4 shifts a week at the hospital. We are available locally for drop ins on weekdays, or for boarding/daycare throughout the week & some weekends. We have a good sized, fenced back garden, with grass & patio. We have plenty of room to place a crate downstairs if that’s required. We both have cars big enough to travel further for walks & exploring! There are no kids, and no other pets, however your little one won’t be short of attention!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
