“Jack was able to look after our cocker spaniel for the day despite very short notice. The fact that Flossy was reluctant to leave his house at the end of her stay showed just how well she had been looked after over the 10 hours she was there ! Ian”

About: I have previously held a dog first aid qualification through my former occupation and have my eye on an Ofqual Level 3 Pet First Aid & CPR certification, which is nationally recognised. I have cared for dogs at home informally across the past two years and wish to open my services to more dog owners. I adore dogs and place the highest importance upon their care. I am retired and at home indoors a high percentage of the week. I am happy to help people out even on a short-notice basis. I am extremely active and your dog/s will be walked a minimum of 4 times per day, more if required, which would include one longer walk. I very much go off what the dog owner wants/ requests. Dogs are allowed on the furniture or bed, but only if the owner allows this at their home. I will replicate your dog’s daily care needs as closely as possible to your own.
About: I have many years of experience caring for my own dogs throughout their lives, from puppies to seniors. I supported them through every stage, including training, daily routines, and consistent care. In their later years, I cared for my senior and disabled dogs by adapting routines, supporting mobility, and administering medication with patience, love, and attention. That experience shaped my calm, compassionate approach and my focus on each dog’s individual needs, helping them feel safe and well cared for while their owners are away. I work from home four days a week, so I’m around to give dogs lots of attention, walks, and company throughout the day. On weekends, I’m at home with my toddler, who misses having a dog around and is always gentle and supervised. While I’m not ready to welcome another dog of my own after losing my dogs, I’d love to open our home to dogs through Rover and give them a safe, loving, and happy environment while their owners are away. My home is a safe and welcoming space for dogs, with large areas to roam and a big garden for play and toilet breaks. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and can sit with me while I work. With a flexible schedule, I can maintain routines like walks, feeding, cuddles, and play, making sure every dog feels comfortable, happy, and cared for.
“Sonia and Mick looked after our Labradoodle Jess, for the second time this year, this time over the Christmas period, for which we were very grateful . Jess is always extremely well looked after , her feeding regime is strictly adhered to and we were very pleased to see that Jess was once again, put on a long lead when taken out on walks . We got photos of her over Christmas, where we could see she was very much a part of the family … many thanks to Sonia and Mick”

“We were extremely nervous about leaving our one year old Bernese mountain dog/newfoundland cross for the first time when going on holiday for 10 days. Especially as she is extremely attached to us! We needn’t have worried. After our first meet and greet with Mike and Selene it was obvious they were dog lovers. While we were away we got daily updates and photographs of Belle obviously having a lovely time and was being treated as part of their family. We would recommend Mike and Selene to anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to leave Belle with them again. Thank you both ❤️”

“When Teddi came home it was evident she had had the most amazing time with Katie and her family. They all looked after her and loved her just as we do. Cannot thank you enough guys. We dearly hope Teddi can come to stay again ❤️❤️❤️🐾”
“Very accommodating, super friendly (both Gugu and partner Steve) and just about everything we'd expect from the very best doggie hoteliers. Fortunately our husky got on well with resident dog Joey and apparently he's welcome back! : ) Looking forward to leaving Chief with Gugu again. Huge thanks! XXX”

“Megan looked after my old pug Baxter whilst I attended a family wedding. She was fantastic from beginning to the end and looked after him with great care and attention. He is both blind a deaf and this didn’t bother her at all. She integrated him into her family and I felt this helped him settle. I was very very happy with the service and will definitely use Megan again. Thank you Megan you made a very stressful situation very easy.”

About: Get to know me: Hey! I’m Trish, I’m 22 years old and I’ve recently just qualified as a Nurse. Caring for others has always been at the heart of who I am, and completing my degree in Nursing has taught me responsibility, attention to detail and how to stay calm and dependable in situations that may be stressful – all qualities that naturally roll over into how I care for pets. I’m compassionate, reliable, and organised – someone you can trust to show up consistently for you and your fur baby. I offer a calm, safe and structured environment, and I treat your pets like their part of my own family. I enjoy staying active, being outdoors and making sure that every dog in my care is happy, safe and loved. Pet care experience: As a lifelong animal lover, caring for pets isn’t just something I do – it’s something I truly enjoy. I appreciate that our pets are family, and I treat every dog in my care with the same patience, attentiveness and affection that I would want for my own. Although I’m a new member of the Rover community, I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life, so providing loving and reliable care has always come naturally to me. I’m highly attentive to behavior, energy levels, and comfort, and I adapt care to each dog’s needs while following owner instructions closely. I have a dog of my own and have also regularly cared for dogs of friends and family while they have been away on holiday, giving me experience with in-home boarding, longer stays and maintaining consistency through familiar routines. In 2019, as part of my year 10 studies, I completed work experience at a local veterinary practice, which gave me invaluable insight into animal wellbeing, handling and the importance of staying calm and gentle in various situations. This experience strengthened my confidence around dogs of all temperaments and ages, and reinforced how much I enjoy caring for animals. From energetic puppies to senior dogs, I am confident adapting to each dog’s unique personality and routine. Services and what you can expect: I take pride in providing a low stress, attentive, dependable care in a calm and nurturing environment where your dog’s wellbeing and safety always comes first. Whether your dog is staying with me, joining me for the day or venturing out on sniff approved walks, you can expect structured care tailored to their needs. With every service, for your peace of mind, I provide regular photo updates and message updates so you can feel at ease with how comfortable and content your dog is at all times. 🏠Boarding – A home away from home A calm, secure home away from home experience where your dog can enjoy a structured daily routine that is tailored to their needs, quality sniff approved walks and enrichment, plenty of affection, and a safe environment. 🐶Doggy Day Care – Fun, safe and tailored days Structured and supervised care designed around your dog’s energy levels, personality and care needs. From drop off to pick up, you can expect plenty of play and enrichment, regular walks and toilet breaks, calm rest periods and personalised attention throughout the day. 🐾Dog walking – Purposeful and sniff approved Reliable, attentive walks at your dog’s pace focusing on their happiness and wellbeing. From being picked up from your home to being dropped off, your dog will be taken on a walk that is suited to their ability and energy levels, safe handling and can benefit from reinforcement of basic training cues if required. As I’m currently not working as a Nurse, I work a part time job with my contract days being Saturday and Sunday, which means that I’m available to provide loving care and stimulating walks for your pets. My flexible weekday schedule allows me to accommodate doggy day care, weekday boardings and dog walking services, ensuring your pets get the attention, exercise and companionship they need whilst you’re away from home. Whether it’s a stimulating walk (both short and long), an all day visit or a longer boarding stay, I want to work with you to establish a routine that keeps your pet happy and comfortable. To ensure your pet feels secure and confident, consistency and safety are my main priorities. During the week, I am able to dedicate my time to play, train and bond - giving your pet plenty of affection and mental stimulation. My goal is to make weekday care seamless for both you and your pet, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing they are in safe, caring, gentle and attentive hands. As my apartment is in a secure building with a shared garden area just outside, your pet will have plenty of space to play, explore and get the exercise they need. For longer walks and adventures, I’m just a short 5 minute drive away from Birkenhead Park and within close proximity to local beaches, the Wirral Coast Path, and other dog friendly parks. Keeping your pet safe and happy are my top priorities - when your dog is in my care, they will always be supervised during walks and playtime to ensure they feel comfortable and secure in new environments. I will also follow any specific instructions you provide so you can feel confident your furry friend is in caring, responsible hands.
“Thank you both sooo much for looking after our Fella! It was such an important weekend for us and you made it totally worry free ! If you would like me to recommend you on FB, let me know how I can”

“Benji came home very happy and tired after his weekend with Kieran and Otis. Kieran was very communicative both during the booking process and throughout the weekend sending updates and photos of Benji settling in and on his walks. An excellent pet sitter we will definitely ask again.”
“Excellent, highly recommended. Charlene helped us out at short notice and even changed the booking earlier when our plans changed again. The boys had so much fun, she sent regular updates and we knew they were well cared for. She was very sad to see them go, it’s obvious how much she loves dogs, would highly recommend her services”

“Lemmy was very relaxed and happy with Susan when we had our meet and greet and went for his overnight stay without looking back! Lots of reassuring updates from Susan while we were away which was lovely. He was certainly very at home 😂 x”

“Absolutely fantastic! Leanne was wonderful with our little Milo. Kept us in regular touch with messages and photos of how he was doing in his daily activities and interactions with other dogs, as well as reporting how he was eating and, ensured he took his medications . He was stimulated with games and played with individually and was happy and content when we came to collect him. Can't recommend Leanne highly enough, she quite obviously loves what she does.”

“Joanne was excellent. She took great care of my dog. She kept in touch with updates and photos and I felt confident that my dog was happy in her care. My dog can show signs of anxiety, but he was calm relaxed and happy when he came home, so I know he had a good time. Thanks Joanne. You’re a star!”

“Andzelika, was great! We felt really confident he was being well looked after and comforted (as we knew he would be anxious being somewhere different). We received frequent updates on how he was and the amazing walks he was getting. We would definitely use Andzelika again.”

Monty clearly had a fantastic time staying with Katie and family. Katie was very efficient and helpful in setting up the booking. It has been great to find a sitter that has provided a loving family setting and has ensured that Monty had plenty of long walks that he loves whilst we were away. Katie provided plenty of updates and photos too. We wouldn't hesitate to use Katie again or to recommend her to others.
Arne had a wonderful 12-night stay with Emma, Sean, and family from 17–29 August. Before his holiday, he had a little pre-visit to meet their lovely dog, Bruce, and it was clear from the start they’d be great pals. Throughout his stay, Arne and Bruce played, snuggled, and enjoyed each other’s company. We were kept updated regularly with photos and stories of Arne’s adventures, including a trip to Scotland, which was so reassuring. It was clear he was treated as part of the family. We’re so grateful to Emma, Sean, and family for welcoming Arne into their home and caring for him so well. I know Arne would be absolutely delighted to stay again. Thank you so much!

I chose Melissa to board my dog Oscar due to her experience of caring for elderly dogs with special needs. Although his stay with Melissa had a rocky start I feel that Melissa cared for Oscar to her best ability, and was adaptable when I had to extend Oscar's stay by 12 hours due to our flight being cancelled. Melissa is a compassionate caring friendly person who really cares for the animals she boards.
