“Tabitha was an excellent cat-sitter for Lando. She has great attention to detail, even visiting us twice beforehand. She sent very detailed updates and some lovely photos of Lando. I am more than happy to recommend Tabitha.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 8 years old, so caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. I’ve looked after family members’ dogs and now regularly care for friends’ dogs in their homes. I’m confident with dogs of different personalities and love giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks and cuddles. I understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you can completely trust, and I’ll treat every dog as if they were my own. I work full-time, but I have evenings, weekends and days off available for pet care. I’m organised and will always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime and company. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my priority. I’ll follow their usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime and any specific instructions. I’ll keep a close eye on them and make sure they feel comfortable, settled and cared for in their own home. I’m respectful of your home and will keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your pet is happy while you’re away. 🐶❤️

“Matt came and looked after my 2 cats and tortoise while I was away over the weekend. He did a fab job of looking after them and I would highly recommend!! He took time to come and meet everyone and learn all of the animals routines which was reassuring to see. I got regular updates and photos which was a bonus.”

About: We’re a family of four, with me and my three children aged 9, 12 and 14, plus our very friendly cocker spaniel, Oreo. We’re a busy, active family who love getting outdoors, going for walks and exploring, so dogs naturally fit into our lifestyle. Oreo is a much-loved part of the family and really enjoys having company, so we’re excited to welcome other friendly dogs into our home and give them lots of love, attention and a real family experience while they stay with us. Your dog won’t be treated like they’re in kennels — they’ll be welcomed as part of our family and included in our normal family life. There are plenty of cuddles, attention, walks and garden time, with someone around for most of the day. I know how difficult it can be leaving your dog with someone else, so I want to make the experience as relaxed and reassuring as possible. I’ve used Rover for dog care myself for years, so I know how important it is to find someone you can really trust with your dog. I understand the reassurance that comes from regular updates, photos and knowing your dog is happy, safe and being well cared for while you’re away. Oreo is very much part of our family, so we’re looking for friendly dogs who would enjoy a fun, relaxed family home and a canine companion. 🐶 I’d love to arrange a meet-and-greet first to make sure your dog and Oreo get along and that we’re the right fit for each other. ❤️ Our Schedule I welcome dogs at weekends and during school holidays. As a teacher, this means I’ll have plenty of time to give them lots of attention and make them part of our family plans. We love getting out and about for walks, exploring forests, visiting the beach and having little adventures, so your dog can come along and enjoy it all with us. Our Environment We live in a cosy, small family home with a secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely potter around, play and relax. It’s a relaxed, welcoming home environment rather than a kennel setting, and we’re happy for dogs to settle into our usual family routine — including plenty of sofa cuddles!

About: 🐾 Who’s looking after your pet while you’re away? If your answer is: “someone who loves animals”… that’s lovely. If your answer is: “a veterinary surgeon”, that’s a whole different level of peace of mind. Hi, I’m Ana, a qualified veterinary surgeon offering professional pet sitting in your pet’s own home. Whether your companion is young, elderly, recovering from surgery, anxious, diabetic, epileptic, arthritic, on multiple medications, or simply needs someone experienced, they will receive knowledgeable, compassionate care, not guesswork. I can confidently: • Administer medications (including injections where needed) • Monitor ongoing medical conditions • Recognise subtle signs that something isn’t right • Respond quickly and appropriately if problems arise • Follow complex treatment plans precisely • Care for senior pets and those with special needs Of course, it’s not all medicine! Every pet also gets plenty of cuddles, enrichment, playtime, walks, and the individual attention they deserve. Their routine stays as normal as possible, helping them feel relaxed and secure while you’re away. Because pet sitting isn’t just about feeding and walking. It’s about knowing when everything is fine… and recognising immediately when it isn’t. Your pet deserves expert care. You deserve complete peace of mind I’m at home majority of time. Happy to play and interact full time with the pets in a safe an stimulant way. If left alone for short periods (example pick up groceries) there are interactive cameras inside and outside the premises, also crates will be used to prevent accidents while away. All the activities including: play time, napping, eating will happen in the conservatory and back yard or my bungalow. At least 2 walks a day. The backyard is fully fenced with wood panel of about 2m tall. Dogs who are unsociable/untrained/young/traumatized will require separate accommodation inside the house, away from the rest of the pets. This will incur in 50% safety fee on top of normal rates.

“Francesca was great with my cat, Pepper. She had great communication, sent pictures daily and gave Pepper lots of attention and fuss. Would recommend and will be booking for future visits. Thank you ☺️”

About: Having dog companions has always been one of those constants. They're more than just a pet, they're family. There has never been a moment when there hasn't been a dog in my house and I have experience owning a host of breeds from Jack Russell to German Shepherd. I'm a relaxed person, and put a lot of time into my own doggos, along with caring for my in-laws Dachshund once a week. I work from home full-time in a non-stressful role, and have my two playful spaniels to keep me company! Due to the nature of the role, I get plenty of downtime for the doggos :) I have a detached family home with a fenced garden. The back door is left open during warmer months, and the back gates are secured. I have my two spaniels, Lola and Milo who love to meet new doggos

I would never leave any pet in situations where they could escape or hurt themselves.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Flintshire pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Flintshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
