Such peace of mind having Alicia pop in on my new puppy. She sent lovely pictures and videos to show them bonding and was even happy to give my guinea pigs some attention. Will definitely be in touch soon to hopefully arrange a regular date . Thank you

About: I have over 14 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of various breeds and sizes, as well as cats and small animals. I have completed both a Level 2 and Level 3 qualification in Animal Care & Management, where I developed a strong understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, handling and safety. Alongside my qualifications, I completed work experience at a professional dog day-care facility, working with dogs of all sizes and breeds. This included managing group play, supervising interactions, maintaining safety standards, and handling larger breeds confidently and calmly. I have raised and cared for puppies, including raising a litter, and I currently care for multiple dogs, so I understand the importance of routine, patience and consistency. I am comfortable with leash-trained large dogs and have experience managing reactive behaviours in a controlled and responsible way. I treat every pet as an individual and prioritise their safety, wellbeing and happiness at all times. I am available for pet care throughout the week and have a very flexible weekday schedule. I am able to offer full-time care during weekdays and can structure my day around your pet’s routine to ensure consistency, attention and supervision. I can also accommodate some weekend bookings with advance notice. I drive, which allows me to travel locally and accommodate different locations easily. I prioritise reliability and clear communication, and I am happy to arrange meet-and-greets beforehand to ensure the right fit for both you and your pet. When caring for pets in their own home, I aim to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible to reduce stress and keep them comfortable. I follow feeding schedules, exercise routines and any specific care instructions carefully. I prioritise secure walks, safe handling and awareness of surroundings at all times. With my background in Animal Care & Management and experience in professional day-care settings, I understand canine behaviour and group dynamics, allowing me to manage different temperaments calmly and responsibly. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always come first.

About: I bring a unique mix of professional responsibility and genuine love for animals. As a qualified nurse, I’m calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and deeply caring — qualities that carry over into the way I look after pets. At home, I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback, Simba, so I’m very confident handling large, strong breeds as well as smaller dogs. I also regularly walk and care for friends’ and family members’ dogs, giving me experience with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m experienced with energetic puppies who need structure, training, and plenty of exercise, and I understand the patience and gentleness required for senior pets. I’m also comfortable administering basic medications, thanks to my professional background. What sets me apart is the combination of trustworthiness, reliability, and hands-on experience — both personally and professionally. I don’t just provide walks or sitting; I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and happy in their routine. Plus, I always keep owners updated with photos and messages, so you’ll have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in caring hands. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life. I have a young Rhodesian Ridgeback, Simba, who keeps me active with regular walks, play, and training. Caring for him has made pet care a natural part of my routine, so fitting in walks, drop-ins, or sitting for other pets comes very naturally to me. I work as a nurse, and I’m off every Monday and Friday, which means I’m fully available on those days. On my work days, I can often offer evening walks or visits, depending on your pet’s needs. Because I’m used to balancing a busy job with pet care at home, you can trust that I’ll always be reliable, flexible, and make your pet’s wellbeing a priority. In your home, I always follow your pet’s routine to keep them feeling safe and settled — from feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles. I make sure to respect your space, keep things tidy, and send regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well looked after. In my own home, I have Simba, my young Rhodesian Ridgeback, who is playful, friendly, and used to socialising with other dogs. Pets who stay with us will enjoy company, walks, and a loving family environment where they’re treated as part of the pack. I also make sure introductions are calm and safe, so every pet feels comfortable. With my background as a nurse, I’m confident giving medication if needed and staying calm in any situation. Whether in your home or mine, your pet will always receive reliable, loving care as if they were my own.

About: I have been looking after family and friends pets and animals  for over 23 years from the age of 7 I have had dogs and ponies and have grown up in a farming back ground. I have had dogs and ponies through my life, currently on my family’s farm they have 2 horses and 3 ponies a small flock of sheep  5 dogs and chickens.  I have looked after disabled dogs of my family and for clients given oral medications to pets and can follow dietary requirements and pets schedules this also includes horses and other live stock as well as mucking out stables and organizing pets live stock. I will need all dietary and medical requirements including pet livestock hygiene mucking out etc,,,,  on a written weekly schedule I do prefer this even if its text to me.  I have full DBS check and have worked with children and the elderly in different jobs.  I have 3 years' experience as a dog sitter and walker, staying mostly in people's homes and have returning clients and I have looked after people's horses as well as family's.  I currently don't do dog boarding as I live next door to my elderly relative, but I do have this  experience. I also have given oral medication to both cats and dogs.  I also do video calls or phone calls before in person meet ups. I also sometimes take my pug Gigi with me on dog and house sits Gigi is 14 and is very calm and has been on sits before gets on with all types of dogs but,  it depends if client agrees otherwise my dog stays with parents, I will require time to go and visit Gigi on very long sits.  I do have a few other jobs, I don't do them every day and its very flexible. I can work from home during dog sits, mostly is content creation as a hobby but I do have a few small business and other work as dog sitting is not full time as I do get last min cancellations for dog sits.  I do require internet and the odd live stream I only ever use blank walls or live stream fully away from clients home.  Any time needed outside of the home for work would be 4 hours Max or far less on the odd occasion mostly I work from home making videos photos or editing or taking emails calls but this is not everyday wont interfere with dog walking etc. I have a part time Teaching assisting job, that is flexible around pet sitting and I also do some PA work housekeeping and cleaning, I also look after elderly relatives and help out my parents farm On the farm we have a lot of fencing dog creates and also stables, there is plenty of room for our dogs to run around explore and play on the farm in a secure and safe environment.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of Lola! We are so glad that we chose Sophie to look after our 2 year old cat whilst we were away- we opted for the 1 hour a day visits and so glad that we did- Lola is very shy/nervous around new people but took to Sophie right away, and seemed so comfortable and happy around her on all of the photos/videos sent through. We were kept up to date each day with photos and updates on how she was doing/ if she’d ate, been outside etc. It gave us a real peace of mind when we were on holiday that she was being well looked after and Sophie obviously has such a great bond with animals and makes them feel at ease right away. We’d 100% recommend Sophie to anyone for pet sitting and book again when we’re away. Thanks again xx
