About: My two most favourite things are walking and dogs, so being a dog walker is the perfect fit! I’ve always loved spending time with dogs — whether it’s long walks, playing fetch at the park, or giving them lots of attention and care. I have experience looking after friends’ and family members’ dogs of different breeds, ages and sizes, and I make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and comfortable. You can count on me to treat your dog like my own and to make every walk a fun little adventure. I’m currently working park time! So I’m available most days to take your dog on a lovely walk around the local area! I can also drive so I’m widely available in the Flintshire area. When I come to check on the dog I’ll discuss with the owner specifically what needs doing. Then we can decide a good routine from there 👍
“Meg took such good care of our cats while we were away. Came home to very chilled relax kitties. Great communication from point of enquiry to arranging key return. We were kept updated with lovely cat pictures of each visit. Meg is friendly, caring and very kind and my cats loved her which means we love her. I have rebooked with her today 🙏❤️”

I have raised and cared for puppies, including raising a litter, and I currently care for multiple dogs, so I understand the importance of routine, patience and consistency. I am comfortable with leash-trained large dogs and have experience managing reactive behaviours in a controlled and responsible way. I treat every pet as an individual and prioritise their safety, wellbeing and happiness at all times. I am available for pet care throughout the week and have a very flexible weekday schedule. I follow feeding schedules, exercise routines and any specific care instructions carefully. I prioritise secure walks, safe handling and awareness of surroundings at all times. With my background in Animal Care & Management and experience in professional day-care settings, I understand canine behaviour and group dynamics, allowing me to manage different temperaments calmly and responsibly. About: I bring a unique mix of professional responsibility and genuine love for animals. As a qualified nurse, I’m calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and deeply caring — qualities that carry over into the way I look after pets. At home, I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback, Simba, so I’m very confident handling large, strong breeds as well as smaller dogs. I also regularly walk and care for friends’ and family members’ dogs, giving me experience with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m experienced with energetic puppies who need structure, training, and plenty of exercise, and I understand the patience and gentleness required for senior pets. I’m also comfortable administering basic medications, thanks to my professional background. What sets me apart is the combination of trustworthiness, reliability, and hands-on experience — both personally and professionally. I don’t just provide walks or sitting; I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and happy in their routine. Plus, I always keep owners updated with photos and messages, so you’ll have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in caring hands. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life. I have a young Rhodesian Ridgeback, Simba, who keeps me active with regular walks, play, and training. Caring for him has made pet care a natural part of my routine, so fitting in walks, drop-ins, or sitting for other pets comes very naturally to me. I work as a nurse, and I’m off every Monday and Friday, which means I’m fully available on those days. On my work days, I can often offer evening walks or visits, depending on your pet’s needs. Because I’m used to balancing a busy job with pet care at home, you can trust that I’ll always be reliable, flexible, and make your pet’s wellbeing a priority. In your home, I always follow your pet’s routine to keep them feeling safe and settled — from feeding and walks to playtime and cuddles. I make sure to respect your space, keep things tidy, and send regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well looked after. In my own home, I have Simba, my young Rhodesian Ridgeback, who is playful, friendly, and used to socialising with other dogs. Pets who stay with us will enjoy company, walks, and a loving family environment where they’re treated as part of the pack. I also make sure introductions are calm and safe, so every pet feels comfortable. With my background as a nurse, I’m confident giving medication if needed and staying calm in any situation. Whether in your home or mine, your pet will always receive reliable, loving care as if they were my own.

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of Lola! We are so glad that we chose Sophie to look after our 2 year old cat whilst we were away- we opted for the 1 hour a day visits and so glad that we did- Lola is very shy/nervous around new people but took to Sophie right away, and seemed so comfortable and happy around her on all of the photos/videos sent through. We were kept up to date each day with photos and updates on how she was doing/ if she’d ate, been outside etc. It gave us a real peace of mind when we were on holiday that she was being well looked after and Sophie obviously has such a great bond with animals and makes them feel at ease right away. We’d 100% recommend Sophie to anyone for pet sitting and book again when we’re away. Thanks again xx”
