About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, so caring for them comes very naturally to me. I’m 28 and have hands on experience raising and training my own two dogs from just 7 weeks old, which has given me a strong understanding of puppy development, routines, and positive reinforcement training. I’m confident working with dogs of all ages from energetic puppies who need structure and consistency, to older dogs who may need a gentler, more patient approach. I’m comfortable reinforcing training, sticking to routines, and making sure each dog feels safe, calm, and cared for while you’re away. Because I’m a dog owner myself, I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I pay close attention to their individual needs, whether that’s exercise, playtime, or just some extra cuddles. My goal is always to make your pet feel happy and stress-free, and to give you complete peace of mind. work shift patterns, which actually allows me to dedicate focused, quality time to pet care. I only accept bookings when I’m off work, so I can give your dog my full attention throughout the day no distractions or time constraints. I’m available on weekdays and every other weekend, making me a flexible option for both regular care and occasional bookings. During my time with your pet, I make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship, while sticking closely to their usual routine. Because I plan my schedule around the dogs I’m caring for, you can feel confident they’ll be my top priority while they’re with me. When caring for pets in their own home, my priority is keeping everything as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow your dog’s usual routine closely, feeding times, walks, exercise, and any training or house rules you have in place so they feel secure while you’re away. I’m very respectful of your home and make sure it’s kept clean and just as you left it. I spend quality time with your dog throughout the day, giving them plenty of attention, play, and companionship so they don’t feel lonely. With my experience raising and training dogs from a young age, I’m confident reinforcing good behaviour, sticking to routines, and adapting to each dog’s needs whether that’s an energetic puppy or a more relaxed senior dog. I also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can feel reassured that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Lily has just enjoyed a 2 week stay with Karl and his family. We couldn't be more happy with the love, care and attention they give to her. I would recommend Karl without a shadow of a doubt to anyone and particularly if this is their first experience with Rover.”

“This is the first time we have left our dog so we were anxious about it but Mike was very welcoming and reassuring. He sent us daily updates with photos, our dog Hudson went on lots of long walks. We will definitely rebook.”

About: I’ve always been around dogs, either having my own, family pets or my spare time volunteering at a dog shelter. For the last 2 years, I’ve spent every Saturday cleaning kennels and walking dogs for Cheshire Dogs Home. This means I am well skilled in dealing with tricky dogs too. I now have adopted two cocker spaniels (mum and daughter) from Cheshire Dogs Home that I live alone with. I predominantly work from home and would ensure that I did when I had your dog. My girls absolutely love other dogs and always want to play with them. They love going out for long walks, I live near a country park which is very convenient. I would love to help others out in the hopes of building my own support network too. I work full time from home but this allows me to adapt to a dogs needs as it’s flexible. I currently wake between 6-7am every day with mine and will take them out if it’s hot or will work downstairs (or upstairs in my office where they are welcome) until taking them out at midday if the weather is normal. After work, we relax and have cuddles on the settee as well as a few games to challenge the spaniel brain I have a fenced garden and two girls that absolutely love other dogs and would love yours. They have free roam of downstairs and the garden at all time with supervised access to my office upstairs.

“Excellent communication. Lovely to receive photo and video pupdates while we were away 😀 Pippa has returned home today and is definitely missing you guys - think she may have been spoiled rotten 🤣 Thank you for taking such good care of her 🐕”

“Sophie was absolutely amazing with our dog, Finley. He had the best time and she sent so many great photos of all his adventures! We’ll definitely be booking again thank you so much!”

About: I am a proud dog parent to my Cavapoo (spayed), Lila, so i understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust. I provide a safe, loving and active environment, with plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles and attention. Whether your dog enjoys long adventures or simply relaxing at home, I’ll tailor their care to their personality and routine. I will also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is in good hands. Looking after dogs is already part of our daily routine. I work full-time with flexibility around my schedule, while my wife works from home, meaning there’s usually someone at home throughout the day. We have our own friendly Cavapoo, Lila, who loves company and plenty of exercise, so walks, playtime and cuddles are all part of everyday life. Whether it’s weekdays or weekends, we’ll make sure your dog feels safe, happy and well cared for. We have a secure, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely play and explore. Our home is clean, calm and dog-friendly, and our dog, Lila, enjoys meeting other dogs. We always introduce dogs gradually and follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, medication (if required) and sleeping arrangements. We’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog is in safe, caring hands.
“Daniel and his partner were great with my senior greyhound Rhubarb. They gave us daily updates and photos of how she was getting on and she always seemed really happy and content, even though her stay was over New Year’s Eve and she can be a bit nervous with fireworks. Rhubarb was so well looked after and we picked up a very happy dog at the end of her stay, we’d definitely book with Daniel again!”

“Alison and her family are so friendly and welcoming, they took excellent care of my dogs, keeping me updated with photos of their time, I would definitely use Alison again”

“Edward is a fantastic dog sitter. I made a short notice booking, he was very quick to respond during the booking process answering my questions and giving me information. During Peppa's stay he sent me lots of updates and photos which is always reassuring to see when your dog is away. Peppa seemed to enjoy it too - hopefully we'll be back again soon. Thanks very much.”

“Hollie took excellent care of our border collie whilst we were on holiday. She was also kind enough to pick up and drop off, which helped us massively. Hollie sent us photos of Misty during her stay and it was obvious she was very comfortable in Hollie’s company. Hollie has a lovely, spacious home and an enclosed garden that Misty enjoyed exploring. Hollie’s communication was excellent throughout. I would definitely recommend Hollie for your dog-minding or walking needs.”

“I was truly impressed with the way Ela cared for my elderly dog. My dog is almost 12 and is quite deaf, has health issues , is on daily medication and a specialist diet. Ela took all this in her stride, going above and beyond to ensure all these extra requirements were met, and more. Ela sent me daily photos and updates and my dog was immediately at home , exploring the safe garden, cuddling on the couch and having extra fresh veggies which are her favourite ! As a first time user to Rover.com I was obviously quite nervous, but now having found Ela I will have no problem using her again. She looked after my dog with deep love and care, Ela is obviously a true dog lover. I cannot recommend this lovely lady and her family enough to look after your dog with real care and compassion . Thank you for looking after my dog so well!”

“My cat Caesar stayed with Pat for 4 days and we had a great experience. My cat is very nervous and temperamental however he settled quickly with Pat which shows that Pat was patient and understanding of Caesar. Pat provided daily updates and pictures which was appreciated - and really showed that Caesar had made himself at home! Pat was diligent in following Caesars routine and keeping him safe (as he is an indoor cat). We will definitely be booking with Pat again.”

“Chen was amazing, she helped us out with just a couple of weeks' notice with Obie. Her communication was excellent and she made a real effort to get to know Obie, including a no obligation "get to meet you" session with him. Through the whole booking period Chen was brilliant at keeping in touch; sending photos, what they had been up to, and how he was doing with food and function, which was so reassuring. Highly recommended and I will definitely book with Chen again.”

“Sandra looked after Storm for an evening and Storm had a great time and settled in so quickly with her and her partner. I got lots of videos and photos which helped put my mind at ease that Storm was having a great time. Storm can be unsure of new people, but Sandra agreed to a pre meet and also made sure she asked lots of questions so she knew how to best look after Strom. Storm also had a day visit with Sandra and her partner for a walk and had a great time. Thanks so much!”

Hava was an excellent sitter for my kittens Kevin and Stevie! I was nervous leaving them but after speaking with her on the phone before their stay I was completely reassured! She took time to find out about their feeding requirements and routines and explained about her home. The stay went perfectly. We were welcomed and the kittens settled fast. Hava sent regular updates with photos and videos and I could see the kittens were happy and safe. Hava’s home is immaculately clean and hazard free. She is great communicator and so friendly. I would 100% recommend this sitter to care for your pets and will rebook with Hava again!

This was the first time leaving my dog with someone I didn’t know. We had a pre stay visit which was very reassuring. My dog loved Hannah and immediately looked confident with her dogs and in her home. Whilst away Hannah was kind enough to keep me updated with messages and pictures, which meant I was able to relax and enjoy my time away. We will definitely be using Hannah again as regulars!! 😀 Thanks so much Hannah xx

Janet took care of Toby extremely well. She was very sensitive to his needs and kept me up to date with photos and updates about him. He loved her big garden and was free to roam in it. Janet is a very kind and caring person and I will be asking her to look after Toby again.

Absolutely awesome from start to finish. 🥰 Angela is the perfect choice to look after your furry friends. Communication was outstanding and the fab pictures were a treat for us, clearly showing what an amazing time our Nige was having without us. I just hope Angela’s diary is free for the next time we need someone to love our Nige as much as us. 🤞😎

I couldn’t recommend Pat enough. We’d never left Olive with anyone outside my parents but as we were getting married abroad, we needed to find somewhere else for her to stay. I was nervous about sending her somewhere new but I really didn’t have to be. Pat was lovely from the get go, answering any questions I had and letting me pop round for a chat before we booked. While we were away, we had regular updates and photos which we loved! Olive looked like she was having the best time being spoiled by Pat. Thank you so much for having her Pat. Olive will definitely be back for another staycation!

Ross is an amazing dog sitter! Fast to reply to messages, invited me and Peppa over for a meet and greet before making a booking, and has a lovely home and family too. When I dropped Peppa off for her first overnight stay she settled in immediately and was clearly made to feel at home. Ross sent me loads of pics, and took Peppa on a long walk, which she loved. I couldn't have asked for more. Pretty sure Peppa agreed given she wasn't in a rush to leave when I arrived to collect her! Thanks very much.

Jessica and Chances were amazing with Mehlu! Before confirming the booking, we had a meet & greet, and they asked lots of questions about her daily routine and personality, which really showed how thoughtful and attentive they are. Jessica also kept us very well updated with lots of photos and messages, which really put our minds at ease. Mehlu looked so happy and relaxed – clearly enjoying all the attention and cuddles 😂 You can tell they genuinely love dogs, and we felt completely comfortable leaving her with them. Highly recommended – we would definitely book again! 😊🐶

Denielle and her boyfriend looked after our Frenchie, Lola for a weekend while we got married (we wanted her there but she is far too excitable around lots of people). They were absolutely amazing with her, they suggested a home visit before the stay so that she could have a wonder around and make sure she was comfortable there. They kept us updated with how she was and sent us pictures from on her walks. Lola had a fantastic time there and was treated as if she was their own family pet. We would highly recommend booking with Denielle and we will certainly be booking with them again next time we need a dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
