Not only was she well looked after in the house and garden, being actively played with and given so much loving attention, but she was walked twice a day along the canal routes parks and green areas which Boujee absolutely loved; all of this was kindly photographed for me and i could tell when I came to collect Boujee she would have happily stayed longer! It can be difficult finding a sitter who accepts larger dogs and has the suitable environment for them but Katie's house and family were perfect for my GSD Boscoe.. He'd never stayed with any other people apart from ourselves and whilst he was nervous the first few nights, Katie and her family made him feel welcome and he settled really well thanks to them and enjoyed his 17 day stay. About: I am currently in my final year of veterinary school and have a wide range of experience with different dogs and their medical issues. I am comfortable in giving medication and recognising when things aren’t quite right. I have previously had my own house sitting and dog walking business before starting veterinary school so I am comfortable with all aspects of caring for your pets. I’m currently in my final year of veterinary school so my weekends off are filled with lots of walks with my own dog and time spent at the stables with the horses. I would love to share this time with some other dogs too as well as any weeks or days off I have between my current rotations. I have great walks from my front door and two other friendly dogs who would love to keep your dog company. They would be very much part of the family, or if they feel more comfortable in their own home I can stay with them there.

About: I developed a special interest in all kinds of animals about 3 years ago. This prompted me to do loads of research on how to care for cats and dogs, so that I could properly take care of my friends' pets!! I've been pet sitting ever since and have absolutely loved the experience of connecting with so many unique pets 🫶🏽 I currently work freelance remotely and get to decide my schedule! “I left Fudge with Jade and her lovely family for 5 nights. Had a meet and greet beforehand and Fudge and family were very happy with each other. I received messages and photos from Jade everyday and fudge looked very settled and happy. Fudge is a rescue dog so I was apprehensive about leaving him to go on holiday but I needn’t have been because I could see they he was having a ball with them. Picked him up yesterday and he was happy to see us and I could see that he was very settled in. Would have no hesitation in leaving Fudge with Jade and family and will definitely be booking him in for any other trips/holidays. Ross is an amazing dog sitter! Fast to reply to messages, invited me and Peppa over for a meet and greet before making a booking, and has a lovely home and family too. When I dropped Peppa off for her first overnight stay she settled in immediately and was clearly made to feel at home. Ross sent me loads of pics, and took Peppa on a long walk, which she loved. Jessica and Chances were amazing with Mehlu! Before confirming the booking, we had a meet & greet, and they asked lots of questions about her daily routine and personality, which really showed how thoughtful and attentive they are. Jessica also kept us very well updated with lots of photos and messages, which really put our minds at ease. Mehlu looked so happy and relaxed – clearly enjoying all the attention and cuddles 😂 You can tell they genuinely love dogs, and we felt completely comfortable leaving her with them. Highly recommended – we would definitely book again! 😊🐶

Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
