“Hollie took excellent care of our border collie whilst we were on holiday. She was also kind enough to pick up and drop off, which helped us massively. Hollie sent us photos of Misty during her stay and it was obvious she was very comfortable in Hollie’s company. Hollie has a lovely, spacious home and an enclosed garden that Misty enjoyed exploring. Hollie’s communication was excellent throughout. I would definitely recommend Hollie for your dog-minding or walking needs.”

“Nicole and her partner looked after our little Charlie for 5 nights whilst we had a short break away . They instantly made Charlie feel part of the family with their lovely dog Bueno being very welcoming Charlie is a dog that simply needs a lot of love and to be near you and Nicole provided that in abundance . We were kept up to date regularly with how Charlie was settling in and lots of great photos seeing him enjoying himself … and simply relaxing at times ! We would definitely recommend Nicole to anyone else needing a very caring dog minder . Thank you Nicole xx”
“Sandra looked after Storm for an evening and Storm had a great time and settled in so quickly with her and her partner. I got lots of videos and photos which helped put my mind at ease that Storm was having a great time. Storm can be unsure of new people, but Sandra agreed to a pre meet and also made sure she asked lots of questions so she knew how to best look after Strom. Storm also had a day visit with Sandra and her partner for a walk and had a great time. Thanks so much!”

“Finn had a lovely time staying with Annabelle and she couldn’t have been more accommodating ❤️ I would definitely book Finn in again. I got plenty of updates and photos of how Finn was getting on, great communication and any worries I had were addressed straight away.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have always been involved in caring for them. My family owned Staffordshire Bull Terriers, so I’m very comfortable handling energetic, strong, and affectionate dogs while understanding the importance of routine, patience, and attention. Now, I have my own French Bulldog with my partner, who is completely spoilt rotten and loved to bits. Caring for him daily has given me hands-on experience with feeding routines, walks, playtime, companionship, and making sure dogs feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I genuinely love dogs of all breeds and personalities, and I’ll always treat your dog as if they were my own, with plenty of care, affection, and attention. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine as I work during the week and have weekends free to fully focus on caring for dogs. This gives me plenty of time for walks, playtime, attention, and making sure your pet feels comfortable, happy, and well looked after. Dogs will always receive lots of love, care, and company while they’re with me. I’ll make sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and right at home with me. I have a secure gated garden where dogs can safely play and enjoy some fresh air, and they’ll always get plenty of attention, care, and cuddles. I’ve grown up around dogs all my life and now have my own French Bulldog, so I’m very used to daily walks, feeding routines, playtime, and making sure dogs feel happy and settled. I’ll always follow any routines or instructions you provide so your dog gets the best care possible while they’re with me.
“Antony was responsive, reliable and easy to communicate with throughout. He was very accommodating to our schedule and my girls needs, which made the whole (first ever) experience of leaving my girl, stress free. I felt confident my dog was in great hands and would happily, and highly, recommend him. Our girl is rarely excluded from family adventures; this occasion was an unforseen need, however, should the need ever present itself again, I would not hesitate to reach out to Anthony in confidence my girl would be in very safe hands.”

“KO has been amazing with Leo, we got pictures everyday and he is well looked after. She gave him clothes and made our dog feel comfortable. We felt very at ease thanks to KO’s communication and will definitely ask her look after leo again!🩷”

“Our dog had a lovely stay with Lauren and family and we could relax knowing that he was in a great home environment. He bonded with Lauren's dog and it was great knowing that we were leaving him with someone who clearly loves dogs! We got lots of photo and video updates which showed him having a great holiday! Thank you for taking such good care of him!”

“I would highly recommend Nicole to look after your pet. Nicole provided lots of pictures and updates and as this was the first time leaving my puppy this provided me with lots of reassurance. Connie loved staying with Nicole and without a doubt I will be asking Nicole to look after Connie again. 🥰”

“Amy was amazing for our little yorkie. We had a meet up the night before his stay and she kept us up to date with pictures and videos of how he is doing. According to who picked him up from Amy, sounds like he’s missing the attention & play 🤣 Thanks so much for looking after Chase 🐾”

Stephanie is also very much a doggy person who has her own dog Millie who also is delightful. Honey has been to stay with Stephanie and Millie for a long weekend, and being a 7 month old pup, we’re still at the building confidence stage and this was to be Honeys very first big girls weekend away. Stephanie has made this a fantastic experience for her and I knew from our first meet amd greet a couple of weeks earlier, that Honey would be happy staying there. “We really couldn’t have asked for a better person to have looked after our Mabel. She was happy and content during the whole visit. Francis kept us updated daily with messages and videos which meant a lot to us. Cannot recommend Francis enough. We will definitely be using him again.”

“Oscar had a wonderful time with Matthew and Raissa. He was happy and relaxed. He enjoyed all his walks and spotting squirrels. We were updated with photos while we were away. I can’t praise Matthew and Raissa enough for the care Oscar received.”

About: My mum has always had an irrational fear of dogs so have never had the honour to own one myself until I moved away from home. Growing up I have often dog sat for my godparents who have 2 beautiful miniature schnauzers and my neighbours Jack Russell. Since I was 19, I was using borrow my doggy to get experience with different dog breeds and learn the needs of each pup. I work full time primarily working from home with the odd day on site. I love spending time outdoors especially now with my cocker spaniel pup! I have a 3 bed house with a wrap around fenced garden for your pup to roam around in. I don’t allow any pets upstairs so should your pup stay overnight, they need to be okay sleeping downstairs. As I have a dog of my own, I do not take on non-neutered male dogs and they must get along well with other dogs.

Claire is delightful and clearly a dog lover. Pip was immediately happy when she arrived and played with Claire's friendly little cockerpoo. She sent me photographs of pip, and when I collected her she was lively and beautifully bathed and groomed. I cannot fault Claire

Nicole looked after my dog buddy for 2 nights and this was the first time anyone had looked after him. From the get go Nicole made me feel so at ease and filled me with reassurance and confidence with everything she said. While we was away, Nicole would send updates, photos and videos of how he was getting on and what he was Upto. The reassurance and confidence was also shown in all her actions while we was away. I knew he was in very loving hands and I could see he was happy and settled to be there. I would 110% recommend and will definitely be booking with her again. Thankyou so much again Nicole✨🫶🏻

Melissa and her family did an amazing job of looking after Molly while we were away. From our first visit we knew it would be a perfect place for her to stay,be safe, well looked after and loved and we certainly wasn't disappointed. We were sent photos of Molly at least every other day while on holiday and would reply back immediately if we we had any questions. Molly came back to us a very happy and fit dog after plenty of walks too. We will definitely use Melissa's service again. Thank you 😁

Marie was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We had a meet and greet beforehand, which immediately reassured me and made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dogs in her care. Throughout their stay, Marie sent plenty of photo updates, which I really appreciated - it was so lovely to see how happy and relaxed my boys were. It looked like they had such an amazing time with her! Thank you so much, Marie, for taking such wonderful care of my boys. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
