Soft spot for rescues & seniors - dog mum ❤️
Hello! I go by Katie (not my posh legal name on rover haha) and I’m a dog lover & owner based in Liverpool 😊 Availability 📆 Currently I have reduced availability - I’m available for dog minding on some evenings and weekends. I currently have my own dog Dusty with me, so a meet and greet is essential for any new dogs I take on to make sure the dogs are comfortable with each other. About me 👋 Ive loved dogs all my life, and took on the challenge of adopting a very nervous Romanian rescue dog in 2020. He was terrified of people, stairs, floors, being picked up, water, men… you name it. A few years on and LOTS of training later, and he’s living his best life in Liverpool and is a very happy dog, but still has very bad separation anxiety - so I understand the need for affordable, reliable dog sitters more than anyone. It’s been a lifeline for me! Environment 🏡 If I’m looking after your dog, it’s their world and I’m just living in it! They’re welcome to go on the furniture, they’ll get plenty of cuddles and treats, and if they nap you can guarantee they’ll be wrapped in cosy blankets. I know plenty of lovely spots for dog walking in Liverpool and can drive, so I can take them on some fun walks and adventures too if they don’t mind being in cars. About my dog 🐶 I have my own dog Dusty but he lives between my house and my ex’s, so he is only here part time. He is most fond of female dogs and older male dogs, and is a very calm, laid back boy that likes to sleep most of the day, since he’s suspected to be between 9 years old. I’ll let you know when you enquire about a date whether he will be here so you can decide if thats right for your pup! Nervous pups 🐾 🥺 If you’re looking for a regular sitter but your dog is nervous & you’re not sure how they’ll get on, I’m happy to meet up initially for free to do an introduction so they can meet me and build a positive association, and then we can do a shorter visit for a reduced price as a bit of a trial run. Just message me and we can work it out between us - I’ve been there, done that and worn the t-shirt with my own rescue dog, so know how important it is to go a their pace and build a trusting relationship.

Schedule
I love looking after dogs, and currently have a few regulars - I only ever look after dogs from one household at a time. I work Monday-Friday, so currently my availability is limited to weekends and evenings. If in doubt, always put in a request and I’ll let you know if I’m available.

I live in a first floor flat next to lark lane, so I’m in easy walking distance to Sefton park, festival gardens, princes park and some other lovely walking spots. The flat has a very small front garden which I use to give dogs toilet breaks, and they get walks twice a day (length / amount of the walks tailored to their age & needs). In my apartment i have toys, treats, poo bags, bowls, dog beds, and they’re also allowed to chill out on the sofa or my bed. However, I will go by what’s allowed in your own home so I don’t train them to get on your furniture if that’s not your thing! 😄

A typical day
A typical day all depends on the needs and wants of your dog - I can take them for walks, play with them, give them cuddles, and even take them for longer adventures in my car. Happy to discuss what they love to do!
