They went above and beyond to make Roxy feel at home and cared for her exceptionally well, sending us regular pup dates on how she was. They have a great set up and large garden, and are close to a large country park for walking and adventures. We both are very fussy people but we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their dog. We have already booked with them again, as we know Roxy will be well cared for.”

About: Myself and my husband have grown up with dogs and have embraced them into our family life.Mainly large, male dogs some with challenging behaviour issues. We have recently lost our much loved dog in a tragic accident and consequently we have started to look after friends and family's pets and have really enjoyed this and want it to continue. We live in a nice, semi rural area with a multitude of walks on our doorstep. We have great flexibility as we are self employed and work close to home. We are early risers so would be able to take your dog out for a walk before work, and/or take your dog with us, or pop home regularly if required. We are a self employed couple with great flexibility. We have a fenced garden and yard with access to many local walks. We would treat your dog as if it was our own and maintain your boundaries and preferences around behaviour and routine.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life — I grew up with two dogs, as well as hamsters and fish, so caring for pets has always felt natural to me. When visiting family in the countryside, I was the go-to person for looking after their cats, and I’ve loved it ever since. I now share my home with two very different (and very loved!) cats — Ghostie (8), who’s a laid-back cuddle expert and has needed extra care due to past medical issues, and Shadow (6), who keeps things interesting with his playful, cheeky personality. About: I’m a 21 year old Veterinary Medicine student in her 2nd year of Vet school. I take pride in making sure animals are healthy and happy whilst in my care. Alongside this I’ve studied an animal management BTEC course and got a grade of D*D*D*. I have a wide range of work experience alongside animals including doggy day cares, farm settings and pet shops and I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals. :) Due to university I am only available during weekends to care for your animal. About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. During my work experience, i have learnt how to analyse basic animal behaviour well and have learnt how to follow a schedule of feeding times, medicine that need to be administered and how to meet the needs of both dogs and cats. I’ve helped with grooming and bathing at the kennels and i am patient at all times, giving space to animals when they need it. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. About: I've cared for animals most of my life - since retiring I now have the most adorable cockapoo, Lily, she is very socialised and loves other dogs- Lily would be happy to share me with any canine guests! I don't have pet care qualifications - but I possess all the practical and common sense skills required to care for your dog, as well as oodles of cuddles and plenty of walks! I have regularly looked after my friends dogs, a Staffordshire bull terrier, greyhound and Labrador so I’m used to handling different breeds of dogs and managing their needs. My secure garden backs on to woodland and open fields - offering perfect play opportunities - in a lovely part of Wigan Borough. Our dog-friendly home offers open access to dogs that are house trained. I always recommend meet and greets to ensure everybody is happy as well as trial visits/nights to assess how well your pooch will settle in. All dogs have their unique personality traits and some have issues with, for instance, separation anxiety, phobias, etc - so I'm happy to discuss strategies to help manage potential issues. I can administer medications - oral and injection - and will follow advice on medical conditions such as food allergies to the letter. I am retired and home-based and enjoy spending time with my girl, Lily - and I would love to invite other small/medium dogs with a similar happy nature into my home. As a full-time dog owner, I already have an existing routine taking Lily out a minimum of twice daily. We love going to the beach and she regularly joins us when we're out and about. We don’t leave her for long, and only then very rarely. I’m happy to work with owners to agree a suitable routine for their dog. Our home offers a safe and secure environment with a very relaxed and dog-friendly atmosphere. I can be trusted to deliver care in the owner's home, and will happily discuss all aspects in terms of access and security. I will only walk up to 2 dogs at a time and carry spare leashes, water bowls etc. I'm very vigilant around traffic and other dogs/groups of dogs whilst out and about.

About: I have had dogs my entire life and have looked after them on and off since the age of 12. I have been to other peoples houses whist on holiday to look after different animals, including cats and rabbits. The weather does not bother me, walking in rain, snow and sunshine is a pleasure and I love lots of cuddles from a range of pets I am a full time teacher but can look after animals in the holidays full time. Weekends are very open for me and I am happy to look after animals overnight or come to your home to look after them. I have recently just moved into a town house in Chorley, just near the Nab, so there are lots of opportunities for walks. I have a reasonably sized garden that is fenced off too!
About: Previously, I worked in kennels for 2 years and a dog boarders for another 2 so I have experience dealing with almost all breeds. I also come from a family of dog boarders so have grown up caring for dogs all my life. I am equipped at administering medication if needed and also have no dogs of my own at the minute so if you have a dog that may not always get on with others then that’s not a problem. I’m currently working part time 3 days a week so Friday-Monday I am free to take care of your lovely pooches. I am happy to pop in during the day to feed/let them out to toilet or take them on a nice walk and take care of them overnight. I have a fenced garden and no dogs of my own at the minute so we have a really safe and secure area. I also have a lot of fields and green/pond areas a 5 minute walk from my home so it’s a really great area for them to stay/be walked.
About: I have had my own dog for over 17 years so i understand what it’s like to take care of a dog. I am such a caring person, who loves walking and miss walking a dog. It would bring me so much joy again. I currently work a full time job, Monday-Thursday, when I finish work of an everning. I love to be able to walk dogs and on my days off also as this. I will always make sure that I am consistent when being around the dogs. At the moment I will not be offering over night stays at my home due to having no garden which is not ideal for a dog to be staying.
About: I absolutely love dogs (all animals really) and have had dogs in my life since being young. I currently have a Yorkshire Terrier - I have experience with dogs in heat. I also have two cats, they spend the day outside so will be no issue. Since I have had dogs from a young age I have experience with a range of different breeds so I am very used to all the different personalities dogs can have. I am super flexible due to working from home and am therefore available at short notice. I have the most experience with these breed of dogs: Basset Hounds, Yorkshire Terriers, Labradors, Border Collies, Jack Russels, West Highland Terriers and Pugs. About: I have owned animals since I was a child from guinea pigs to cats to dogs. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat and a rabbit. My dog is a husky so I am used to getting out walking daily. I am available all day for drop ins and walks. I own a husky who is very kind and gentle, she gets along with other dogs but can be left at home if it is an issue. I love long walks as well as short ones and plenty of play time. I have a very big secure back garden which is great for the dogs running around or relaxing in. I have a very small for her age husky who gets along with other dogs with no issues.

About: i have had cats and dogs my whole life, i help looking after my friends and family’s animals all the time, so thought i would put my services on here as i love it and love the flexibility and how different they all are! i am currently looking to taken on as many roles with your pets at possible and looking to do this full time, so any requests are welcome we have a garden which is fully fenced with a patio and grass however we would prefer to have them stay in the comfort of there own home as they tend to be more relaxed and at home.

I got photos and updates.. and when Storm was dropped off she was happy.. and as soon as Tracy's back was turned Storm jumped back into her car.. although I wasnt impressed that Storm was happy to go back off with Tracy it gave me comfort that she had clearly given her the care and love that she receives at home... have already rebooked for a longer stay..
