“I was terrified of sending my rescue cat for boarding as he had never been away from his home in the 7 years he has been with me. He is an indoors-outdoors cat who has access to his cat flap at any time. Very shy with humans and friendly to other cats. And not used to be kept indoors. Vivian’s cat room is perfect, with a large bay window, shelves for the cat to climb upon, corners to hide if nervous and plenty of space to roam around. Vivian did an amazing job with my cat, being very patient to give him confidence and feel comfortable in the new surroundings and with new people. She gave him plenty of cuddles and reassurance throughout the stay. And monitored his food and drink intake as well as his litter use. Vivian also introduced him to their really sweet and cute kitten to give him a playmate. Vivian kept me updated throughout with pictures, videos and reported on his progress. I could not have dreamt of a better place and better couple to keep my cat safe, happy and comfortable during my absence. I would not hesitate to recommend Vivian’s services for boarding and will happily use again when required in future.”

“My pooch was treated like a Prince and he was very comfortable and seemed happy within his surroundings when we went back to pick him up.He was very well looked after and would 100% recommend to other dog owners. Will definitely book again if and when required.”

“Shirley was fantastic with Henry. He had a lovely time was like home away from home. Would definitely recommend her Henry not used to boarding but didn't feel like he'd missed us at all. Would definitely use again and would recommend her.”

“It was the first time we had ever left Roxy overnight. We were really worried about leaving her at all. However we were greatly impressed with the young couple who looked after her. They went above and beyond to make Roxy feel at home and cared for her exceptionally well, sending us regular pup dates on how she was. They have a great set up and large garden, and are close to a large country park for walking and adventures. We both are very fussy people but we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their dog. We have already booked with them again, as we know Roxy will be well cared for.”

“We have a cockapoo aged 8 who has been very clingy, nervous and at times reactive to other dogs on his walk due previously being attacked by another dog. Sarah was amazing from the first point of contact, listened to everything we shared and provided reassurance that she has previously supported dogs with similar needs. We arranged a trial stay over in advance of the date our dog was going to Sarah, Sarah was warm and friendly from the minute we went into her home, our dog went straight over to Sarah and we could see he felt at ease; such a relief! Sarah kept in touch with photographs an dour dog had a lovely time, was not stressed or anxious when we picked him up; the same on the following stay over. We would highly recommend Sarah and will definitely be booking in for the future with her.”

“Would put more stars if we could ❤️ Alex and Chris looked after our pride and joy, 11 month old border collie just like we knew they would. Jota has had a great time, lots of pictures of him enjoying himself. We were immediately put at ease by a lovely couple and we did not worry once about if he would be well looked after because we knew he would. Lots of questions asked so they knew him and the family and they treated him like their own. Would highly recommend and Jota will be a frequent visitor in the future. Thank you 😊 for caring so much about him x”

“We left our beloved dog Blue for the first time ever with Walter and Angela. They were brilliant from start to finish. We felt instantly reassured that Blue was in good hands. He is an older dog with particular needs and they managed them with great care and easy. We had regular updates from them too.Plus their own dog Bonnie is a very friendly gorgeous dog with a wonderful temperament. I would highly recommend them. Thank you both!”

“This is Kittys second home, she is so well looked after and enjoys being treated as part of the family. We feel so confident and comfortable going away knowing she is in such good hands. Absolutely first class in every way.”

“Aaliyah recently looked after my Doberman Xena. She can be a bit excitable but it did nothing to put Aaliyah off! Nothing was too much trouble and I received regular updates on how she was doing. I can highly recommend Aaliyah she provides an excellent service! Thanks again”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have experience caring for cats and always treat them like family. I’ve looked after cats for family, friends and neighbors for years I work full-time from home, so the pet is never alone. I have ragdoll cat myself which is over two years old. When I finish work after 5, I normally go to the gym which takes me around 1,5h or shopping and that’s basically it. I live in a two-bedroom house, so your cat will have plenty of space. I’m happy to let them roam freely around the house or keep them in a separate room (my home office) if that’s what you prefer. I’ll always follow your cat’s routine and your preferences.

“My Storm went for a sleep over as an extended meet and greet to see if Tracy and her were a match.. I could tell instantly that Storm was comfortable. I got photos and updates.. and when Storm was dropped off she was happy.. and as soon as Tracy's back was turned Storm jumped back into her car.. although I wasnt impressed that Storm was happy to go back off with Tracy it gave me comfort that she had clearly given her the care and love that she receives at home... have already rebooked for a longer stay.. I just hope I get a better greeting off Storm after my trip. Thank you, 🐾”

“We're very happy with the care our dog received staying with Larissa and will definitely be booking with her again. As this was the first time we have used an online boarding service and the first time leaving our dog we were a bit unsure how she would react to boarding. We needn't have worried, she didn't seem stressed in any way when we picked her up which says to me she was well cared for. Very happy with Rover and happy to recommend Larissa.”

“Freya looked after my two cats when we went away for a few days and we had total peace of mind that they were happy and cared for. Freya is really reliable and trust worthy and I would definitely recommend and rebook. Thankyou!”

About: Have grown up with cats my whole life, now have 2 of my own. I understand their care needs, personalities and querks. Everyone knows me as the crazy cat lady with backpacks for my cats. I have read Catification and Jackson Cat Daddy's guide to a happy cat.

“Aaliyah was great and kept us up to date with all the goings on with our older cat. We got lots of photos and she was great at messaging prior to booking. Thanks for looking after our cat so well!”

“Jacob was amazing, we booked a visit before we went away and the cats fell in love, made them nice and comfortable for when we went away! Prompt to reply and sent regular updates on them, which is what every pet owner wants. Would 100% book again in the future!”

“Juliet is a wonderful cat sitter. She is very friendly as reassuring, and won over even the shyest of our litter. She took excellent care of our 4 babies while we were away. She spent lots of time with them for cuddles and play, and wasn’t just in and out. We had regular reports, with pics, and she even hoovered up the cat litter on the floor!”

About: Hi, I am Becca. I have always loved animals! I grew up on a farm surrounded by all kinds of animals; rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, horses, cows, chickens and sheep, so I have a lifelong experience of looking after animals. I work part time as a teaching assistant in a school for secondary aged children with behavioural problems so I have a lot of patience and compassion! I have looked after cats before as my partners mother owns 2 who I often look after whilst she is away.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life — I grew up with two dogs, as well as hamsters and fish, so caring for pets has always felt natural to me. When visiting family in the countryside, I was the go-to person for looking after their cats, and I’ve loved it ever since. I now share my home with two very different (and very loved!) cats — Ghostie (8), who’s a laid-back cuddle expert and has needed extra care due to past medical issues, and Shadow (6), who keeps things interesting with his playful, cheeky personality. Thanks to them, I’m comfortable with everything from relaxed lap cats to energetic little troublemakers. I’ve also looked after my neighbour’s cats regularly over the years, so I understand how important it is to keep pets feeling safe, loved, and in their routine while their owners are away. Alongside pet care, I’m happy to help with the little things that give you peace of mind — bringing in post, taking bins out, and generally keeping an eye on your home while you’re away. Each visit typically lasts around an hour, giving your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care rather than just a quick check-in. If you’re looking for someone reliable who will treat your pets and home with genuine care, feel free to get in touch — I’d love to help.

“I was really pleased with the service we got from Sophie, she was excellent and made me feel so much happier about leaving my cats. I would highly recommend her, I will definitely be using Sophie again in the future. ”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, currently sharing my bed with springer spaniel named Frida. Also love cats - always looking after them when my friends are going on holiday Currently on maternity leave, enjoying time with my baby who would have to join me for all adventures I’m having. Would be awesome if my springer can come too. I am a happy springer spaniel owner, understanding the needs of working breeds, always prioritising their safety and owners requirements- if dog can be trusted off the lead or not.

About: I have done a work placement in a cattery where i gave many cats some love, changed their litter trays, fed them accurately and on time and cleaned their bedding. I understand some cats enjoy their own space and some cats like to be touchy and loved. I can provide both. I also have one experience on Rover where i went to a client's home to feed her cat daily and give some attention.
“Matthew was absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure my pets were happy and cared for. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you Matthew, you were truly brilliant.”

“Jess is really patient, professional and reliable. It is clear from the offset that she has your dogs best interests at heart and I know that I can trust her. Jess completed a meet and greet session and really took the time to get to know my dog before we started visits. I would recommend Jess to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter.”

About: I have had cats since I was little. When I had children I introduced them to cats too by adopting a kitten, and now I have 2 adult daughters with their own cats, so I definitely passed on my love of them. I have adopted senior cats. Currently my latest adoption is 10 and a half years old and likes to be the boss of my 3 other cats, but I am gradually getting her used to socialising with them in a more friendly way. It's an ongoing process! I know cats are unpredictable, can scratch you one minute then want to climb on your lap the next, but I like that they have little independent personalities. When a cat loves you, you know you have been chosen. I am used to getting cats to take medication and treating things like eye infections for them, so I would be happy to look after a cat needing medical care. I also clean and change litter, mop up catsick or hairballs, and hoover up stray fur on the furniture!

About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. During my work experience, i have learnt how to analyse basic animal behaviour well and have learnt how to follow a schedule of feeding times, medicine that need to be administered and how to meet the needs of both dogs and cats. I’ve helped with grooming and bathing at the kennels and i am patient at all times, giving space to animals when they need it. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. No matter the house im caring for your pet in, i will stick to a schedule and your rules however you prefer. I will make sure your pet is entertained and cared for well and will return home happy!
“Absolutely fantastic dog sitter 10 out of 10 recommend she has a lovely connection with dogs and looks after them like their her own. She is very understanding to Diego that can be a strong boy at times. Such a wonderful dog sitter and kind person would recommend.”

“Lucca had a lovely day with Michelle, it was the first time we have left her with anyone Michelle sent photos and Lucca looked very relaxed, she had cuddles and walks, and came home very happy.”

“Sarah is absolutely lovely! It was both mine and my dog’s first time doing this and she was so accommodating and reassuring. Extremely helpful and within just one day, Daisy was excited to see her again! Will definitely be booking Sarah and her lovely home again. Thank you!”

“My dog was very happy and well looked after with Karen who treated her as her own. She sent me a video of Cleo and she had toys and I could tell she had a great time when I went to pick her up. I will definitely be booking her again x”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Growing up with two wonderful Labrador Retrievers gave me years of hands-on experience and a real appreciation for the care, exercise, and companionship dogs need. I’ve also spent time around my grandmother’s Border Collies and helped a friend with Rover dog sitting. With a large, secure garden and beautiful riverside walks right on our doorstep, your dog will have plenty of space to play, explore, and feel at home. After recently returning from a seven-month trip around South America, I have a flexible schedule while I search for my next career opportunity. This means I can dedicate plenty of time, attention, and care to your pet. Since losing our family Labrador, I’ve really missed having a dog around, so I genuinely enjoy every opportunity to get out for walks, play, and spend quality time with dogs of all ages and personalities. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and routine will always be my top priority. I live in a safe, welcoming home with a large, secure garden and beautiful riverside walks right on our doorstep, giving dogs plenty of space to exercise and explore. I’ll always follow your instructions closely, keep to your pet’s usual routine, and provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re in safe and caring hands.

About: During the last 10 years I have boarded 100s of doggos in my own home. I now want a change of scenery and daily routine. I have been looking after doggos for the past 10 years and this is my full time occupation. I would now love to travel to different parts of the UK that I have not yet seen. I think it's time for a change apart from being in my own home 24/7! If the garden is not escape proof, like my own, I would be very vigilant all the time as I do not like the pets to be out of my sight for very long. Also, it rather depends on the particular dogs I would be looking after.
About: I have had a strong interest in all animals since being young. I regularly cared for family & neighbours pets from being a child. I now own four rabbits, a hamster, a turtle, fish and a 7 month old puppy named Ralph! Happy to deal with any training and care needs as I regularly train my own puppy and administer medication for my rabbits. My partner Lewis and I have opposite shift work so there is always somebody available. Caring for animals is my passion and I will enjoy the company. We can work around your needs to make it work for you. Happy owner, happy pet! I have a fenced garden and a sociable and friendly dog, so your dog always has a play mate. I have a spare bedroom that includes a crate so we can create a safe space for your dog if needed. I have a field close by and if your dog is not great with recall we have long leads available so they can get the exercise they need. With guidance from you, I would be happy to help with training and socialising your dog to keep them in a routine as much as possible.
“I cannot recommend Aaliyah enough, she has put me at ease as I was so nervous about finding a day care for my 7month old vizsla. Our girl is very soft and can be anxious around dogs so a 1-1 day care was the better option for us. Aaliyah and her partner both came for a meet and greet prior to me booking Gabi in with them which instantly put me at ease, Gabi loved them from the moment she met them. Aaliyah and her partner have taken such great care of Gabi whilst me and my partner have been at work and the updates and pictures have put me at ease. We are really greatful for her taking such good care of Gabi and treating her like the princess she is, Gabi will definitely be back”

“Daisy seemed very happy for her day at Joyce's, they had a lovely walk in the woods (nice n cool) we will definitely be back, it's a lovely home and Lilly is so playful and friendly 😊”

“Harry and his family were very attentive and made our little angel feel at home instantly. Ease of drop off and collection. It is clear that Harry loves dogs, they love him, as we came back to a very happy 4 paws. Would definitely recommend!”

“Scarlett and her partner were absolutely amazing looking after Sasha. They were really flexible with both drop off and pick up and their communication was great throughout, with regular pupdates 🐶 They kept her active, engaged, and really took the time to understand her individual needs. I could tell she was very happy and well looked after! Thank you 🐾”

“Douglas had a briliant time with Eleanor. She was so accomodating - making sure he felt comfortable for his first stay and offering a meet and greet beforehand - above and beyond what I expected! The photos of Douglas were brilliant and he was a very tired pup when he came home - the sign of a great day :)”

Im retired and have quite a bit of spare time on my hands. I love having a chat with a dog while walking, its wonderful. My own cats are indoors only as I prefer the safety of this. I cannot have pets boarding at my home due to my own fur babies x

About: I’ve always loved animals and grown up surrounded by them, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had my own Pomeranian since I was 10, and I regularly help look after my mum’s Rottweiler. I also have experience walking and caring for dogs of different sizes and temperaments, including terriers, miniature poodles, and German Shepherds, as well as looking after pets for other owners while they’ve been away. I’m confident with both small and large dogs, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I love spending time with dogs and making sure they have all the attention they need. I currently work part time, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to spend with your dogs. Most of the time I’m able to work around your schedule and offer reliable, consistent care, whether that’s walks, check-ins, or overnight stays in your home. I always look after dogs in their own home, so they can stay in a place they know and feel comfortable in. I’m calm and confident with all kinds of dogs, including those who are a bit nervous, excitable, or need a bit more patience and understanding. I’m also happy following any routines you already have in place, whether that’s feeding, walking, grooming, or just keeping things consistent for them. After visits or walks, I like to send a quick update with a photo so you can see how your dog is doing and what they’ve been up to. If something ever seems a bit off, I’ll always let you know. For overnight stays, I’m happy to adjust how often I update you - some people like lots of updates, others prefer to relax knowing everything is taken care of, and I’m happy either way.

About: I have owned dogs for over 10 years and have experience with most sizes! My family at home have a Beauceron x Rottweiler so I am used to large, strong dogs. We also used to have a whippet, and both dogs were rescues so I also have experience with dogs with little to no recall and who love to try and slip their lead LOL! Our beauceron x is now over 15 so I have experience with older dogs and I understand their needs. I currently have a little Peke who lives with me. She is spayed and very unbothered by other dogs as she comes from a farm so hopefully our pets will make great friends! I am a laidback but firm pet owner. I have a little experience training my dogs so if you need any training worked on/ reinforced during your pets stay with me please let me know and I can work with you! I currently work Mon-Friday 9-5, so I am mostly available on weekends. When looking after your pet I will not have any plans so I can ensure their happiness and safety. I live in a top floor flat so if your pet is staying with me they must be happy with stairs or being carried. I live next to a large green space so they can have a nice walk. I will aim to bring your pet out every 2-4 hours depending on their energy levels/ toilet needs. Overnight the last toilet break will be around 9pm and the first morning walk is at 7.30am. This is flexible so just let me know of any specific requirements!

About: I have had cats since I was little, adopting them from friends, the RSPCA or relatives. I have also owned rabbits, and dogs, in the past as an adult. My dog experience includes an excitable Border Collie, a happy-go-lucky mixed breed and a fun-loving German Shepherd. I do miss dog walks and dog cuddles, but currently one of my adopted senior cats isn't keen on dogs so I am currently a dog free house! I have looked after pets since I was about 5 or 6 so have nearly 50 years experience with animals.I work from home so if you have wifi and need a sitter in your home, I can be in most of the day with your pet. I love walking dogs on or off lead and I am happy to go with the personality of your pet, whether that's a cat that likes their own space, or a dog who wants cuddles and long outdoor walks. As for my cats, they have my Mum to look after them when I am away, so I can do overnight or longer stays. I work in education, have a car, flexibility on dates/times and I will look after your pet as if they are my own, sending lots of photos and updates. I work Monday-Friday in term-time, and work from home, with occasional meetings outside my home, depending on schedule. I usually get up, feed my cats, have breakfast, start work at 8 and if I'm in a Teams meeting online, try to keep my cats from coming into shot or stepping all over my keyboard! Sometimes I might need to do an external visit or meeting, but if so then I am back home within 1-2hrs. At tea time the cats get fed again. At the weekends my cats have to wait a little longer for breakfast if I have a lie-in. At home I have a fenced-in garden, a cat flap and litter trays. I also have a small park 5 mins walk away where I used to walk my dogs, and a larger one 10 mins drive away. I live in a very quiet cul de sac.

“Jade was amazing with Caesar, she came to meet him in the week before taking him out so he was familiar with her, and we knew he would be in safe hands with Jade! She took him on a few walks and sent lots of pictures of him having the best time and hope he can play out with her again soon!”

“My pooch was treated like a Prince and he was very comfortable and seemed happy within his surroundings when we went back to pick him up.He was very well looked after and would 100% recommend to other dog owners. Will definitely book again if and when required.”

“Aaliyah recently looked after my Doberman Xena. She can be a bit excitable but it did nothing to put Aaliyah off! Nothing was too much trouble and I received regular updates on how she was doing. I can highly recommend Aaliyah she provides an excellent service! Thanks again”

“Sandra looked after Storm for an evening and Storm had a great time and settled in so quickly with her and her partner. I got lots of videos and photos which helped put my mind at ease that Storm was having a great time. Storm can be unsure of new people, but Sandra agreed to a pre meet and also made sure she asked lots of questions so she knew how to best look after Strom. Storm also had a day visit with Sandra and her partner for a walk and had a great time. Thanks so much!”

“This is the first time we have left our dog so we were anxious about it but Mike was very welcoming and reassuring. He sent us daily updates with photos, our dog Hudson went on lots of long walks. We will definitely rebook.”

“I would definitely recommend booking Carly. Communication was excellent from start to finish and she made sure Charlie settled in well. Carly kept me updated throughout her stay, which gave me real peace of mind. Charlie was happy and well cared for and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“Scarlett and her partner looked after our two dogs, Teddy and Benji, while we were away on holiday, and we couldn't have been happier with the care they provided. Before our trip, we arranged a meet and greet, and Teddy and Benji felt comfortable in their home and with both of them straight away. From that moment, I knew they would be in good hands and had no worries or concerns about leaving them. Throughout our holiday, Scarlett kept us updated with plenty of photos and messages, which was so reassuring and lovely to receive. It was clear that Teddy and Benji were having a fantastic time and were being well cared for. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of them. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend you and would happily book again in the future!”

“I would highly recommend Nicole to look after your pet. Nicole provided lots of pictures and updates and as this was the first time leaving my puppy this provided me with lots of reassurance. Connie loved staying with Nicole and without a doubt I will be asking Nicole to look after Connie again. 🥰”

“Wow what can I say. Angelika was so helpful from start to finish, Silva has never stayed with anyone else before and has had the best week, he's actually fuming we have now picked him up. He's been loved and looked after , walked , played with we have had regular contact and photos daily, we have all loved seeing his updates each day. Thankyou for everything we will be on touch very soon to book his next stay with you. ❤️”

“Skye was very comfortable on arrival at Elena's, as she has been there on several occasions now and seemed very happy to be there. Elena is always brilliant with Skye, taking her out on some lovely walks and allowing her to paddle in water which Skye loves to do!”

“I've been very happy with Dylan's care of Holly and Max. They clearly had a lovely time with Dylan and his partner. The dogs were keen to go out and explore the garden and didn't even look back when I left them the second time they stayed, so they were obviously settled and confident.”

“Eevee always has the best time when she goes to see Dan and his girlfriend. We always receive pictures and videos and Eevee sleeps the whole day after going round! She loves it thanks again!”
