Georgia was amazing with housesitting our boy. She met Tyson before she sitted him so she could ask any questions and we could go through a few things to make her stay run as smooth as possible. Georgia sent regular pupdates and made me feel calm about leaving him, which I usually find very difficult and highly stressful. It was lovely to turn off for a few days knowing he was in capable, experienced and loving hands. Would definitely recommend Georgia to friends and family, and will definitely be using her again for when we go away or need someone to pop in to walk Tyson. Thank you so much Georgia 🥰 xx

Angus was great. He was very happy to have a video chat and meet and greet before house sitting for us. He kept us updated while we were out, turned up early, left everything neat and tidy, and both animals were well looked after - the most important thing. And we even got some advice and tips as first time dog owners - which have come in very useful!

About: I am a huge dog lover!! I was always been brought up around dogs and taking care of them while ensuring they’re well cared for is so important to me. At the moment, I am working part-time and my office is very small with up to 3 of us working at any time. If it’s a work day, I can bring your pup along for extra care and cuddles!! Outside of my 3 days a week, I am studying nursing but would love to make up some extra pennies when I’m not studying. My front and back gardens are fully fenced, providing a secure outdoor space for dogs to enjoy. I also have a very friendly and well-behaved 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel named Jack, who is a much-loved member of the family. I understand that every dog has different needs, so I’m happy to accommodate arrangements that ensure all pets feel comfortable and safe. If preferred, I can keep visiting dogs separate from Jack to provide a calm and stress-free environment for everyone.

Cath has been an absolute gem. She is so friendly and lovely and we knew instantly that Barney was going to be just fine with her. She was so good with him and took him on lots of walks, gave him paw rubs and cuddles and really spoilt him! Barney seemed really happy in her care. We really cannot fault Cath and we have already booked to use her again to look after Barney again! Cath has also really looked after and respected our home whilst she was staying here which is a bonus! What a lovely, gentle person Cath is and you can tell instantly that she is such a dog person as well. Cath it has been a pleasure we couldn’t be more happy! Thank you so much for looking after Barney. He is already excited for next time 🥰 five big gold stars from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

About: I am currently a third year veterinary nursing student with a passion for providing the best care to all pets. I have had my dog for almost 13 years and prior to that, we would dog sit for family friends going away. With my profession I am comfortable with caring for all kinds of pets including reptiles and rodents. I also have experience medicating a myriad of species so would be happy to assist with this if your pet(s) require anything throughout the day. Growing up I've volunteered and worked at a number of different kennels and catteries local to me and I have since been volunteering at a cat sanctuary for almost three years and love spending my free time with animals. I am a very active person with my favourite hobbies being walking and going to the gym so you can rest assured I would meet your pets exercise and enrichment needs to keep them happy and settled in your absence.
My services include home boarding with your pets, walking, bathing, medicating, house visits and spending quality time with your pets in your absence. I’m currently working part time so my mornings and evenings are typically free on the days I work and I have the whole day free on my days off to spend with your fur-babies I’m comfortable keeping your pets as close to their typical routine as possible to keep them stress-free. I can walk and medicate at the same times of day and can regularly update you with pictures for piece of mind

About: I have been taking care of pets since 8 years now. Along with my husband, I moved countries, leaving our pets ( 2 dogs and 2 cats) behind with our loving family who currently take care of them! Making use of all this built up love and longing for our fur babies till we meet them again! x I am currently on mat leave and husband works 4 days which gives us plenty of time to board according to our availability and your needs. We have a fenced garden outside but the cats will be mostly inside our house which is secure and with me at home at all times, safety isn’t a problem.

About: I've had dogs, cats and other small fury animals ever since I've been little. I've also had friends and family members with pets that I have loved to be around and take care of. I am super passionate about animals and have looked after many neighbours dogs over the years too, either in my own home, or at theirs. I'm also vegan because I am so passionate about the welfare of all animals. I don't currently have any responsibilities such as children or a partner and I work for myself so I'm flexible and have the freedom to travel. My best friend is also a dog trainer, so I'm always picking up tips and helpful information about dogs. I currently have a chihuahua who is 7 years old who I adore. She lives with my mum and I, so she isn't my sole responsibility. I'm a very calm and grounded person and I often find that dogs and cats naturally gravitate towards my energy and loving nature. I work for myself, so my schedule is super flexible and I can work from anywhere in the world. Whether this is weekdays or weekends, I'm open to all. I'm able to follow the instructions to how you would like your pet to be cared for, whether this I can be to give you reassurance and peace of mind. I can also send daily updates if needed/preferred.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Fylde

1 / 1
5.0 out of 5 stars

We recently used Rover for the first time to look after our two dogs, Billy and Beni, whilst we stayed overnight in Manchester for Tracey’s birthday, and we honestly could not have asked for a better experience. Our dogs have never been left with anybody else before and we haven’t had a break away in four years, so naturally we were quite anxious about it. A meet and greet was arranged beforehand and the signs were really positive from the start. She followed all instructions perfectly, was immediately contactable throughout and provided updates whenever needed, although very few were necessary as everything was going so smoothly. She was respectful, tidy and clearly cared about making both ourselves and the dogs feel comfortable. We would absolutely recommend her to anybody looking for someone trustworthy and reliable to care for their pets. In fact, we were so happy with the experience that we have already booked again for three nights in August. Thank you again for giving us complete peace of mind. Tracey, Alvin, Billy and Beni 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Georgia looked after my dog Dizzy while I was away for four nights, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. She kept the house tidy and clearly treated it with care, which made coming home feel so easy and relaxed. Most importantly, she gave Dizzy wonderful attention and support—especially when fireworks frightened her. Georgia did everything she could to help Dizzy feel safe and calm. It was such a relief knowing my dog was in such kind and capable hands. I’d happily recommend Georgia to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable, and a genuine dog lover. 🐕

FAQs for House Sitting - Fylde

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Fylde on Rover is £38.66 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 1,330 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fylde. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Fylde walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fylde choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
