I cannot recommend Megan enough! We needed a catsitter last minute after a friend could no longer help, for our two kittens who had not yet been left for long periods. Megan came for a visit to meet the girls and it was immediately clear she was perfect to look after them! Megan stayed with our girls in our spare room, playing with them, and giving them 5 star treatment throughout the day - which was so lovely to see with all the beautiful pictures and videos we recieved ❤️ The girls were so happy and relaxed, and we came home to them knowing just how much fun they'd had - we had regular updates and Megan just went above and beyond with her upkeep with the girls! Will most certainly be booking with Megan again in the future and can stand as a brilliant reference for her!

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a small child. I grew up with Border Collies and now have my own collie x corgi who I cherish endlessly. Because of this, I have a strong understanding of high energy breeds and the importance of both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I’m confident handling dogs with different personalities and needs, from energetic and playful to more anxious or sensitive. I always take the time to get to know each dog individually so I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable and happy in my care. I’m reliable, patient and genuinely love spending time with dogs, whether that’s going on long walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. Their wellbeing is always my top priority, and I treat every dog as if they were my own (that means truly spoiling them). I’m currently working part-time, entirely from home which means I can ensure your pet gets the attention they need throughout the day and I can be flexible with their needs. We take our own resident pup on a big long walk in the evening! I have a small fenced in garden and a 1.5 year old small corgi collie cross to keep your furry friend company, though she can sometimes take a little while to warm up with other pooches. I live with my fiance too who helps with caring for your pet! I have good knowledge of dog body language so know when they need attention and equally space. I genuinely love and care for animals of all kinds so you can trust that your pup will be getting the most loving care!

We used Mollie for several introductions with our dogs, and it was clear from the start that both our dogs loved Mollie and Hayden. We have just come back from our first 3 night trip away and returned to very happy dogs, and a lovely clean house, it was brilliant. We honestly could not be happier with the service they provided, we already have them booked for a week in June and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mollie and Hayden to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter.

About: I'm an animal lover, having owned dogs and cats throughout the years. People who trust me with their pets appreciate my care and attention to doing things the owners way; I believe it is so important to help your animal stick to a routine they feel comfortable with. I'm very flexible, I love long walks with dogs but am happy to just have a cuddle if that's more their vibe. I understand that dogs and cats need time to get to know me and am happy going at their pace. Please contact me if you think I'm the right fit for your animal! I'm currently studying for a PhD which gives me the flexibility to adapt to pet owners needs. I can be around for a midday walk when you have to be at work all day, or I can stop by in the evening to feed your pet if you've got plans. I can work with your animal in their normal environment and I take care too be respectful if your space. I make sure to follow instructions as I understand that all animals are different and have different needs. I will clean up any mess myself and the animal makes whilst I'm looking after them, and I'm more than happy to help you out of you need your bin taking out or if there odd things whilst I'm there. I just want to give owners peace of mind that their property and pets are safe and looked after whilst they are not there.

About: Hello! I’m Mary, I work from home mon-Fri so get to give plenty of time to spend with your pups / kitty. I make sure I take the time to get to know your pet’s routines to make sure the transition is easy whilst they stay with me! I love cuddles but understand their need for personal space too. They will get plenty of attention, love and cuddles should the want them! I live near Heaton park and love to get after work steps in anyway so your pup will get plenty of fresh air! I have a fenced garden and a closer park for running about in too. I work from home so quite flexible! When pups stay if I have a lot of work / meetings it’s a garden visit and then a longer lunch break stroll. If morning is a bit clearer maybe a morning walk to wake up and then after work walk - weather permitting we can go for a walk in Heaton park and have a play there. I also live close to a small field where it’s a short walk away for quick lunchtime run. A doggy small enough to cuddle on my lap as I work too would be lovely. I have enough space for a crate in my flat if needed. I have a car too so if I’m out and it’s a dog friendly place I’d be happy to take them with me. I make sure I clear with owners before / during on things like any dietary issues / restrictions and any other needs (any quirks / medications etc)

About: Hi, I’m Beth — a friendly, reliable and experienced animal lover with a genuine passion for caring for animals I hold a Level 3 Animal Management qualification (City & Guilds) and I am trained in both large and small animal first aid.

I’ve had horses, dogs and cats for most of my life, so caring for animals has always been a huge part of who I am. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient and caring to look after your pets, and I always make sure animals feel safe, comfortable and loved while in my care.

I am confident handling animals with different personalities, including nervous, energetic or high-maintenance pets. I am also happy to follow any routines, feeding schedules or specific care instructions to make sure your pets stay happy and settled. I can administer basic medication if needed and I remain calm and confident in emergency situations due to my first aid training and experience around animals.

I offer dog walking, pet sitting and general animal care services, and I’m flexible around shift work, meaning evenings and weekends are often available. Walks can be tailored to suit your dog’s needs, whether they enjoy long walks and lots of exercise or slower-paced walks with extra reassurance and attention.

I also have my own car and I’m happy to transport dogs for longer walks, countryside walks or more suitable walking locations where needed.

Whether your pet needs a fun walk, companionship while you’re away, feeding visits or extra care and attention, I will always treat them like they are my own.

Please feel free to message me with any questions — I’d love to meet you and your pets! 🐶🐱🐴 I work in a children’s home on a rota, working one day shift followed by a sleep-in, then having two full days off. Because of my rota, I have plenty of availability throughout the week and can plan pet visits around my working days. I’m particularly flexible on my days off and can usually offer morning, afternoon or evening visits. I’m happy to work around your cat’s usual routine and make sure they get the care, attention and company they need while you’re away. I’m responsible, reliable and used to working in a role where the safety and wellbeing of others is really important. I’ll treat your pets as if they were my own and make sure they’re safe, comfortable and happy. I’m happy to follow any feeding, walking or medication routines and will always make sure your home is secure when I leave. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your pet is doing well while you’re away. ❤️

About: I'm an experienced pet parent and sitter, having spent the last few years providing a variety of pet support services in San Diego. I moved to the UK earlier this year to be with my wife and I'm looking forward to continuing my petsitting here in the Manchester area! I love the company of pets, seeing them as equal spirits so pay close attention to each animal, acknowledging that they all have their own special personalities. I have been petsitting since my teens and have spent years adopting various rescue cats, dogs and birds with their own health and personal preferences : ) This includes administering medicines to senior or sick animals, helping to rehome and socialise nervous or anxious pets and I most recently adopted a little rescue cat from the Mexican border who now lives in Manchester, happily ,with my wife, myself and our two other rescue cats! I adore French bulldogs but honestly - anything on 4 (even 3 or 2 in some cases!) legs with fur or feathers and I'm on board. I am a careful houseguest and visitor, so if you need me to stay over or spend time at your home I have previously been registered with Trusted Housesitters and will take care of your pet and your home if asked. If I have an early morning petsit on my calendar, I tend to the pet first before doing anything like exercise. I am self employed, so I can move my calendar around on a need-to basis. When I am at a client's home, I treat their space with care and respect. Every pet gets one-on-one time. My goal is to make sure my client's pets barely notice they are away.

Chin Ching did an amazing job looking after Ronnie for 4 nights. Ronnie is a really anxious/reactive rescue dog and Chin Ching made him feeling extremely comfortable and content the whole time. He can be challenging on a walk and Chin Ching was able to manage him well and keep him calm. Arrived promptly and sent plenty of updates. I had no doubt Ronnie was in very good hands! I would highly recommend using Chin Ching and will certainly be asking for them to dog sit Ronnie again.

This is our third long holiday sitting with Holly (there have been other shorter ones) and I don't know what we would do without her. We always know that they are in the safest hands - Holly loves them like they are her own, despite their funny ways. She sends loads of updates so we can see how happy and settled they are. They are always so happy to see her arrive and attach themselves to her immediately. We would not be comfortable leaving them with anyone else.

FAQs for House Sitting – Bury

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Bury on Rover is £41.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 2,740 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bury. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Bury walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
