About: I have always loved with multiple pets (dogs, cats + farm animals) and so have many years of caring for them. I am happy to cater for your pets personal needs, and depending on the dates required can be flexible with the time of day that your pet needs looking after. I can travel locally to areas such as Didsbury, Withington, Chorlton, Northenden, Burnage, Wythenshawe etc. Growing up I wanted to become a vet, so have had lots of experience volunteering in vets practices, farms, and even zoos. I now work as a lecturer at the University of Manchester. I would be more than happy to discuss your pets individual needs and love to play and cuddle with both dogs and cats.

She sent regular updates and photos, which gave us real peace of mind and reassured us that our cat was receiving the best care. It was clear that our cat was happy, comfortable, and well looked after throughout our trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Luci again and will definitely be using her services in the future. Highly recommended!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover with a home full of life and over 4 years of experience! My days are shared with Binx, my affectionate and playful cat, and Peaches, my high-energy 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel. Whether it's finding the best stick at Bramhall Park with Peaches or enjoying quiet purrs and cuddles with Binx at home, I truly thrive in the company of animals. My experience with Peaches means I’m well-prepared for energetic pups who need stimulating walks, while my years with cats—including my late Ragdoll, Lily—have taught me how to win over even the shyest feline. Professionally, I work as a civil servant (M-F, 8am–4pm), so you can rely on me to be extremely dependable, organized, and respectful of your home. While my calendar shows my standard hours, I can be quite flexible with my time and am always happy to see if I can make things work for you. Please reach out even if I look unavailable—I’d love to help care for your furry family members! I work Mon - Fri. 08:00 - 16:00. And 1 in 4 weekends. I can be a bit flexible in the daytime too. If given enough notice I can request time off if regular day care is required. I treat every home with the utmost respect, following your specific 'house rules' to the letter. Beyond keeping things tidy and handling bins, I prioritize security—ensuring doors are locked and alarms are set exactly as you prefer. My goal is for you to return to a home that is just as clean and peaceful as you left it

About: I love animals and have two cats of my own, both are of very different characters but both loved and are my world. I have a calm and careful approach and would listen to you with regards to what works for your pet whilst you're away so they stay calm and the transition is easy for them and for you. I have experience administering medication to cats through tablets and injections, so if this is required, we would discuss this in the pre home visit I would like to make before the booking is made. I have a full clean driving licence
“We messaged Peter after our other dog sitter cancelled less than 2 weeks before we were flying to get married. Peter came and met the dogs before he looked after them, they loved him, we have one nervous dog and he was really good with her. Peter walked and played with them everyday, updated me on everything and sent lots of pictures and videos of my babies, I’m very nervous when leaving them, he was great on helping me feel less anxious, my dogs loved him and will definitely miss him, and we will definitely be booking him again 😌 my house was very clean and tidy when we came back aswell Love stormy and Cleo 🩷🩵”

About: Hiya I’m Billie and I’m 21 years old. I have my own tabby cat called Smudge and she’s extremely cute and is 17 now. This has given me lots of experience with how to approach and love cats from kittens to the oldies! I am currently working in private health insurance and in my spare time enjoy going to the gym, doing jigsaws or reading, but I would obviously much rather be looking after kitties as a cat-lover.
“Hawa was a brilliant cat and house sitter. She made sure Remus and Hugo were well, fed and water and gave them lots of fuss, which they love 😊 Hawa provided lots of updates which I really appreciated given how nervous I was about leaving them. I would definitely recommend Hawa and would definitely ask her to sit again!”

What a gorgeous person Becca is. When Daisy first met her she couldn’t kiss her enough and Becca didn’t care about her stinky breath! She radiates kindness and Daisy just loved her immediately. I’ve found it so hard to leave Daisy since she lost her brother last year. She spent all of her 9 years of her life with him and it’s not been easy being on her own and I’ve found it so hard to leave her. This is the first time we have used Rover recommended by my daughter and I was dubious trying to find someone last minute, who to trust, who would Daisy be ok to be left with…. and how lucky we were to find Becca who accepted last minute, came round the night before to introduce herself to Daisy and stayed later than she was booked for. Daisy took her for a walk as well. I can’t recommend Becca enough she is kind and reliable and trustworthy and most importantly Daisy loves her! Thank you so much Becca, Daisy is looking forward to seeing you again soon xxx

Keri was very attentive to our pets needs. After an initial meet and greet we had confidence our pets were in safe hands. Throughout our time away she gave updates letting us know they were safe and well looked after. She administered several types of medications and handle cross species interactions (no small feat with our cat and dog). She also checked in with clarifications when needed - ensuring the right medication was used, which we loved. Lastly she kept our home clean and tidy for our return. We would recommend her to anyone.

Elizabeth was absolutely brilliant with Edie for her first stay. Edie is still such a tiny puppy, so we know she’s a lot of work and we really appreciated the care, patience and attention she gave her. We got regular updates and photos throughout, which really put our minds at ease and it was clear Edith was happy and well looked after. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience! Thank you so much Elizabeth – we’re really grateful and Edie is already looking forward to seeing you again!

Craig is absolutely fantastic; we highly recommend him! Craig is great with Atlas, Craig takes him on long walks, plays with him, chills on the sofa with him, and meets all his daily routine requirements. Craig goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and reassured that your pet is well looked after, and provides photo updates too! We will 100% be booking back in with Craig, Atlas can’t wait to see him again! Thank you, Craig :)

Ellie Mae looked after our German Shepherd dog Charlie while we were out for the evening. Ellie is really friendly and professional, Charlie warmed to her straight away ❤️. We had great communication throughout and were sent updates and photos throughout the evening. We will definitely be booking Ellie again and would recommend her.

Sarah was very professional from the first message, including offering a meet and greet before the sit where she asked some really insightful questions about our pets and their routines/habits. Our staffie has a lot of energy and can be intimidating to some, Sarah read him very well and he was settling even before we’d left the house. Our cat often disappears for visitors, however she felt safe and comfortable enough around Sarah to spend some time downstairs. The house was clean and tidy and the pets were safe and happy on our return. We would recommend Sarah to anyone needing a sitter.

Erwan was amazing with our dog Oliver! As a rescue he can be nervous at first with new people but he loved Erwan straight away. Erwan also made sure to keep us updated whilst we were away which gave us peace of mind, he has great communication skills and was lovely throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good pet sitter.

Laura was brilliant, we were so worried about leaving our dog,Tilly, with anyone while we were away,Tilly is 13 with quite a few health issues, Laura let me tell her all about Tilly different needs, including medication that needed to be given and she even came around before doing the house/ dog sitting so we could meet and go through everything, she kept us updated with photos and our house was left clean and tidy ,we will definitely be using her services again ,thanks Laura 😊

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Stockport walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stockport choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
